The accuracy of this review is disputed. Please see discussion below.
Period of
Field Use:
Just once
Date There: November 27th, 2010
Paintball
Experience:
More than 5 years
Other Fields
in the Area:
Paintball Action Games - Consistent ref's, STAFFED refs, the list goes on. Attention to safety such as MASKS DOWN at all times is never overlooked. Standardized rental guns all consistently maintained, more fields, better woods fields, more players.... I have to say I'm partial but for good reason.
Directions
to the Field:
Relatively close to PaintballActionGames off of Porter Road.
Review: I visited after a friend told me I had to check this place out. I play 3 to 4 weekends a month. I know what to look for and while this place is OK, it isn't the best. I have to be honest.

Like many fields it's a small owner operated operation but this one felt very shoe-string. I don't see a commitment to making the playing experience here better. It's more of a, "this is what we got, enjoy". Seeing this usually forecasts a limited time of existence. Heck, even Graveyard which seemed like a well oiled machine went belly up after a year.

I have my own marker and didn't need a rental but the rentals I saw here were not standardized. The player crowd was OK, with attitude players that talked more smack then could bring game. Mostly teens with big mouths.

A lot of downtime between games.

There were also good, nice players there too.

Ref's were not on the ball. Wouldn't enter field of play for paint checks. Attention to safety was not like other fields.

They have a sup air field. Good. But still the choice in fields was not too exciting, maybe it was just the lack of players as I'm used to playing on teams of 10 to 20 per side.

Comparing this place to other fields is how I see the best way to give my opinion. We all like hamburgers so would you prefer a Big Mac or Whopper or would you rather have your mom put a burger on two slices of white bread? That's how I saw this place.

First off, you're obviously partial to Paintball Action Games (you're promoting them in a review of another field). Second off, this review is totally dishonest and ridiculous. The refs are some of the finest in Delaware and are very high-praised by the customers and even supporters of other fields! And not being committed to making the playing experience better and not on point on safety? They go out of their way to ensure you have a good time and they are very pinpoint on safety. They have not had one paintball-related accident in their five years of existence. I guess you consider five years a limited time of existence (as you said above-they will not last long witht he way they run things). And not going on paintchecks? Yet another ridiculous accusation! I have never seen a ref there refuse to go on a paintcheck. And Graveyard was open for five years, not one year. Get your facts straight! And not standardized and well maintained markers? They have tippmann 98 customs and bt-4 combats-the standard for every paintball field. What rental do you have over at Paintball Action Games- Egos and Luxes? Everyday after they close, they break down each rental gun and thoroughly clean them. And in any competitive atmosphere there is going to be a level of smack talk, whether it be friendly or not, but it's not like there are fistfights breaking out left and right. In fact, of my 2 years of playing there, I've never seen a physical fight break out. And a lot of downtime between games? Every time I go there I play at least 20 games even with breaks. And they just got an over $10,000 speedball field that will be up and running in two weeks, so let's see how boring that field turns out. And every game i ever played in there had at least 10 people in them. There are more big games going on than small. Are you sure you got the right field here? I think not. And I will admit, Paintball Action Games probably has the nicest woodsball fields in Delaware but I can sum them up to any person who asks about them-Overpriced and not worth the ridiculous price. People like Mansion House Paintball because of their great customer service and their affordable prices- best prices in the state!

Dispute:
Yes because his allegations are extremely false. Claiming that we don't use proper rental equipment when we do, false accusations against the referees, etc. Honestly I don't believe he has ever been to this field. I am the head referee at Mansion House Paintball so I would know better than anyone else what our field is like
