I was visiting out of town for Christmas and New Years. My 9 year old son and I have been playing together for over a year and love the sport. We brought all out gear from SC to play with my 13 year old brother in law. We stay in Spring Hill and Gator Paintball is the closest to my in-laws home.
We drove out to the field on Friday (12/31/10) to check it out before our walk-on Saturday game. Luckily, there was a reserved party playing so we were able to check out the fields and watch some play. The owner wasn't there but a younger guy was reffing and managing the game. He was very professional and very nice. He offered to walk me and my 9 year old son and 13 year old brother in law on a tour of the fields. I asked some questions and he nailed the answers.
On Saturday, 1/1/11, we arrived at 930am. The owner is top knotch! Prices are well below average. We paid 45 bucks for a case of mid grade paint. 10 dollar field fee and 5 dollars for all day HPOA or co2! He also has a shop with pretty much anything you would need if something broke. Prices were average, not inflated. Food is cheap.
Refs and safety are A+. The refs go above and beyond duty to make the game enjoyable.
The fields are good. Lots and lots of woodsball/urban warfare to play. I really love their "Big Games" which I will recommend to my local fields owners.
Their big games are 30 minutes, two man reaspawn capture the flag games. Covering a good bit of ground and were ran well by the refs.
It was obvious that that the guys playing upped their FPS after chrono but that happens. I fully recommend this field and will be back @ Spring Break.
