PNL Paintball, and Boston paintball's field in Maynard.
Safety is enforced, but thats common sense
The Refs there are O.K, they stay behind the nets so people on the otherside of the field
so some people tend to wipe (recall hitting someone on the hopper and he just wiped it off and shot me back when i was moving up).
At the Chrono-station the ref had trouble putting the allen key into my invert mini to adjust the Velocity... so then i took the gun off of his hand and chronoed it myself... it makes me a little skeptical, just sayin
The Games were good in the morning when not alot of people were there... but when the day grew, it was games of 9 on 9 (or more)... and when you dont have much cover off the break its a huge problem, and entering the snake side on one side you have HUGE gaps that can be shot at from anyone on the other side when running in and when theres 8v8 or so you get shot down easily trying to get into the snake, but thats just my gripe
Paint. Allstar paintballs are great, however this time when i went, they gave us OLD ALLSTAR PAINTBALLS to ALL THE PLAYERS, The stars were faded and the paint broke in
EVERYBODYS guns were having Barrel Breaks: DM10, Angels, Eteks 3, Egos, Invert minis, Rentals, Etc.
my friends and i got ten cases... we went through a couple cases until we had to ask them to replace the unopened boxes of OLD PAINT. :(
***Usually on the other days i come, the paint is in great conditions, but i was utterly dissapointed on that day
I think playing here is pretty expensive, and far (for me, since i live 60 mins away) and the staff is decent (i've seen much better staff at PNL, and heard about really nice owners at Granite State Paintball which i live closer to), GSP i heard is a BYOP for $20 entry , so i can go to a local paintball store and buy a case of good paint (for $30-$45), instead of Boston Paintball's $85 package
So in conclusion its the only speedball field i can go to in the winter, but other then that i won't be coming here regularly.
Try other fields, Please show some support for paintball fields that are CONSIDERATE and nice to their customers
To me i find that Boston Paintball just doesn't have that "Welcome!" feel to it.

Thank you for posting this review - I would like to address some of the things that you have mentioned just to put some of what you have posted in perspective.
I think the first thing that you need to keep in mind is that you came on a Saturday, which is by far the busiest day we have in here. Your group did not make an advance reservation - and had you - you would have been able to have private games which would have allowed you the opportunity to play with just your players - other than that yes- you will play with other players and we can run 15v15 on our field so it actually sounds like you had a smaller game than usual on a busy Saturday. There is no level of tournament paintball in here on a Saturday - we do offer that style of play on Sunday Morning at the rotations we hold.
The paint issue. I personally addressed this - and you are incorrect that the paint was old. We get three skids of field paint a week and that just happened to be a bad lot - it does happen. The paint that I replaced it with was from a new skid in the same shipment and had a different lot # and solved the problem for everyone who had experienced the same problem you did. The remainder of that skid was returned to RPS and any paint of the same lot number was removed from shipment.
As far as the pricing - as has been covered since the beginning of time - it is indoor paintball. The pricing you are comparing it to is outdoor paintball pricing - and if you look at the pricing to play in Maynard (our outdoor field) you will see that our outdoor field pricing is quite comparable to the other outdoor fields you have mentioned. And you can in fact BYOP to our outdoor field.
I will concede that obviously we were having a LOT of issued with the paint that day - in EVERYONE'S guns including rentals - so the staff may have been a bit stressed out - I can assure you that we do not have those kinds of days that often (I would say never - but we did in fact have one!) it would be my sincere hope that you would take that into consideration should you ever have the opportunity to play at our indoor field again.
Again, thank you for the review - and yes - please continue to support paintball anywhere you can!
