Review: Well, I've been playing here for years regularly. I didn't think I'd every end up doing this but I'll write up a review in attempt to save you guys some money and time on your next outing.

I'll review the field in this order: safety, fields, hours of operation, prices, rules, services, proshop, staff, refs, players, facilities, food.

Safety. This is a big deal. Referee's are scarce. Getting a designated referee to stay with the group the whole time is an impossible task. There is often "Pick up reffing" where a player will just sit out to call a game. The majority of the players there are under the age of 15, and this poses a problem. Chronograph rules aren't enforced to the extent I'm pleased with. Last time I played here(Saturday) the chronograph wasn't even working. I used my personal chrono instead. This is a big deal, safety can't be enforced if the guns aren't chronoed and there is no ref on the field.

A few months ago I had an incident where a stuck up kid with his invert mini, shooting at 380 feet per second, shot me in the face for about 2-3 seconds on ramping. I had a brand new JT Proflex on, this kid ended up cracking the brand new lens, breaking the bottom of the mask off and ultimately leaving me with a bloody neck and a busted lip. The only thing I was offered was "A good deal on a new lens!". Yay, because when kids are shooting 380 fps all I want is for you, the field owner, to sell me a new lens. generic golf clap* I did end up emailing the field over this and didn't get any response, although it was confirmed that they DID read my complaints.

The field is also leaving much to be desired. There is a concrete path going towards the back of the left side. Hurts like heck to accidentally slide on. They claim that it can't be dug up because of lease reasons, so it's just something to overlook. The field isn't flat by any means, the bunkers leak so they have to be reinflated halfway through a typical 4-hour-outing. They are also covered in old paint and dirt. The field is mainly weeds and sand.

Hours of operation is 10-5 in the school year, 1-5 in the summer. Very fair hours. Problem is this. I sat at the field hour 45 minutes waiting with two other kids for almost an hour, about 45 minutes, while the field owners were late. Being late is one thing, but getting there ahead of time to set up isn't too much to ask.

Pricing is fair. $15 for entry and air, $10ish for a rental setup, and $15 for a bag of paint. I pay $29.46 every time I play here. Decent pricing.

Rules are simple. No dirty playing, you get shot you are out. Guns are at 280 FPS. These rules aren't ever strongly enforced, so it doesn't make a huge difference regardless.

Proshop is decent. Mostly used gear and some new apparel. EVERYTHING is overpriced inside. No thanks, not paying $20 for 06 JT gloves. Sorry. Another thing is the shop owner will always try to "Give you a good deal" on something you don't need. I know, business is business. But it's to a point where he wants to sell you unnecessary gear instead of helping you enjoy your visit. When you pay $30 for a few hours of fun, you expect fun and not saying "No thanks" to every "good deal" he gives you.

Staff........eh......finding a ref is rare. Field owner is always trying to sell you something. Often left waiting for them to open up shop. Last time I played here, they were shorthanded so he asked me to inflate the bunkers. I know I'm regular here, and I didn't really mind helping out, but that is NOT the way to treat a paying customer.

Players. 10-16 years old for the most part. Expect a ton of ramping(even though it's a semi only field). Some players are cool, a majority are idiots. I can say that after I've gathered a good opinion and have a scar on my neck because a 14 year old kid was shooting 14 bps ramp at 380.

The facility was built over an old golf tee. It could potentially be nice, but it's overgrown and the proshop AC broke. Nice sidewalks all over, nice seating, shady awning is nice, there is a gazebo in the back. Large parking lot.

Food, well they have a Gatorade machine? That's about it. There is a subway and what-a-burger across the street and that's your best bet for food.

Long story short, It has been better. They are obviously understaffed, and they are quite frankly very unprofessional. They have somehow kept my business for a long time, but I think I'm about to the point that I don't want to keep supporting this field with MY dollars.

Hope this wasn't too harsh, but I can't suggest this field. I'd rather drive an hour to go to a nicer place to play.
