Played at Xcalibre yesterday as part of a group thing with a group of around 30 - the staff were exceptional, getting everyone registered and ready to play a half hour early and being very, very prompt and courteous. The end of season sale was on and a lot of us spent money in the pro-shop - with service that good it was hard not to. All of the staff vere very courteous, knowledgable and friendly.
The courses were, for the most part, very nicely set up - we managed to get at least one game in on most every course save the airball fields. I personally am not a fan of trenches games but the trenches field was popular among most of the other players. Tires was a bit of a paintwaster with a group that size as we both got pinned within 10 feet of the start box. Junkyard was EXCELLENT, definitely one of the best fields, and deadwood was a lot of fun - possibly a bit lopsided for starting areas. We stuck around for the big fort games, and the fort was a great field to play - the big scenario game at the end of the day is a definite must for anyone coming out, as it gives everyone a chance to get out and play as a big group.
Our group had an absolute blast, and are intending to make this trip a yearly occurence. |
