Fort paintball - Still pretty new, but has some good speedball fields, little cheaper for me, and much closer. |

I like the fields here a lot. It's a good blend between speedball and woodsball. The staff is great too, and they make sure everyone has a good time. I also like the walk on groups. Usually pretty big, and lots of decent players. The prices are kind of steep for me when you add it all up. $7 admission, $7 BYOP, and $20 air, makes one hefty admission fee. I usually will buy my air by the fill, but it only winds up saving me a few bucks. Of course you can forgo the $7 BYOP, but the cases are $70, so... you're still losing like $3. Also the field is also in the middle of nowhere, and a little hard to find the first time. Once you get all of that taken care of though, it's actually a pretty fun day. I haven't been there in some months, but they used to (and probably still do) take a lunch break in the middle. (they switch out all the rentals as there's one group pre-lunch, and one post-lunch) I don't mind breaks, but usually I'd rather be playing. Also, they usually won't let a small group go out and play a few refless games. In some ways that's good, but I rather enjoy some quick games with friends at the end of the day.
Anyway, I like playing there, so all in all I'd give 'em a... hmm... 9 I guess... If they would just drop their prices a little, they would be higher... but $34 plus paint is a little daunting. |
