I've been to Constant Action and texas paintball. Although these two fields are good, Petty's is my favorite. They have good prices and more importantly great staff!
Review: This place is definitely a good place to come for hardcore tourney players and beginning rec ballers. Prices are some of the best in Austin and they have a laid back attitude because they expect everyone to be on the honor system.

For tourney guys, this place is awesome. Most of the fields here are speedball oriented and so attracts some really good players and teams in central Texas. I usually go and get whooped pretty good but end up having so much fun because everyone seems to exhude the attitude the staff has. Definitely come here if you want to sharpen your skills. Its bring your own paint, but paint selection and prices are so good you might as well buy them at the field.

For rec ballers, no need to have like 20 folks to be in your own group. I believe its officially only 10 peeps are needed to be by yourselves, but the Petty's staff are so flexible on this. I've seen rec ballers come with less than 10 people all the time and they get to go have fun amongst themselves. I find that so awesome to cater to newbies needs so you don't ruin the paintball experience for them.

Like I mentioned before most of the fields are speedball oriented, but they to open up the woods field every once in a while and they have this great urban/fort type field that just screams fun.

Only problem with this field is that its far from me. I live in the downtown Austin area and it takes a good 45min. to get to this field, but the drive is most certainly worth it!!!
