I would not recomend playing at this field at all, the refs are bad, and sometimes when i go there on a saturday there wont be anyone there but me. This field is expensive to play at compared to WAP, and WAP is easily much better than combat zone, ive been to combat zone maybe 20 times and only twice has there been more then 30 people there ussually there are less. The tournys run here are horrible, the worst ive ever seen, the reffing is bad, the prizes are crappy, expensive, and the fields suck. The fields at combat zone are some of the worst ive ever played on, the "speedball" field is a joke. Also the majority of the people that play at combat zone are total newbs and offer no challenge. I went there one time with a friend of mine and it was only us and a group of 6 or 7 that were there together, and we only got to play 2 games because after after that they would not paly with us anymore. One of the refs that works there shoots other employees with an airsoft gun, last time i was there two refs were fighting over it. This is the second worst field ive ever played at, the first being dog town which is now destiny and i dont even consider it a field at all.
Dispute: Im a ref at combat zone and as long as ive been there, there has always been more than 30 people on a sat. and as far as newbs yeah there are alot of kids but thats how we all started isnt it? none of us started "PRO" and comon' this coming from a guy with a whopping 4 years experience comon' give the kids a break they gotta learn somewhere, these "NEWBS" are the future of our beloved sport. yes the feilds are on the small side but thats what tests your skill if you can take someone on in confined spaces then you can pwn them on a large feild and the feild operator is an excellent operator and an excellent source of paintball info, a bit excentric sometimes but hey what paintball player isnt =-) all in all this is an excellent feild dont take advice from somebody who puts down players cause their new ...check it out sometime you wont regret it
Ya I Agree with iceman, BRAD85 now I hope that your still playing since you wrote this over three years ago. you and your totally jacked lil'kid attitude twards newbs realy get me goin! why is it that people like you who know the least seem to know it the loudest!. I'm 37 years old and been playing paintball for 16 years And never have I seen players like you with your disrespectful attitude last long. To be honest most of the time if you show that attitude on the field enough and somebody's gonna THROW A PAINT SMACK DOWN ON YOUR SORRY BUT and send ya home. (there ya go will-better?,I changed it for ya-lol)
This is next line is directed at the remark posted below this one-I'm guessing it won't be there long... lol
Will, I see your titled as a co-capt. you would think when you read "brad85's" post you would have something useful to say or add about his crap view of Newbs but you don't.
So I'll take an educated guess and just assume your just a bush league wannabe that doesn't have the first bit of buisness sense to be able to grasp that new players just like you and I once were are the life's blood of our sport.
Make no mistake you should read all the Paintball mags and keep up on whats going on in our sport you'll see every year the more road signs and property that gets vandalized along with people treat new players with no common respect like the distane of brad85's comments for newbs the more the foundation that our sport is built on erodes .
Now all that said you capp'ed first :o). Don't get all ruffled , literally I'm not seriously trying to insult ya just want you to show some respect for your sport. When you read brad85's post the only thing you disagree with is what I wrote?. Like I said I see it looks like your a co-capt. so step up and be an advocate for the sport and take a stand for something right not just make your first post a wast of space... :o)
