Review:
Well here we go...First off we decided to play at this field because of a tournament being held. IT was a 4man tournament. Once we got there the staging area is basically junk. Its one long bench. There is no canopy or anything of any sort to help protect us from rain, wind, ect. (By the way this place is all outdoors including the proshop). Before the tournament even began we must note on the field. The field is straight up trash. It consists of all barrel bunkers and a few "airball". The airball bunkers used by this field are that of the quality of garbage bags. I honestly never seen such trashy quality airball bunkers (no pun intended.) The field had no concept to it and about 30 bunkers for a 4man tournament!! No thought to the layout was apparently shown and teams who regularly play there obviously knew the field by hand due it not being changed up for the tournament. As the tournament "began" it ran disgusting unorganized. The captains meeting failed to bring up different scenarios and rules of the field. It seemed to lag on as the day went on and many game delays were caused by teams not being called to the chronographs and general confusion at the end of games. The reffing was terrible, especially for a tournament. I overheard many refs saying this was thier first time reffing, let alone reffing a tournament. The refs seemed to lay back and appeared to be afraid to get in and get hit, somehting that is required that refs do to enforce thier job. Alot of whiping occured and went unpunished as well as favoritism towards different local field teams. Also on top of the disorganized reffing the weather began to play a part in the tournament. It began to down pour and here we are with all our gear getting soaked in the rain. My X-board 12v revolution burned out that day due to the rain, not something i can directly blame on the field but some sort of tent/canopy might of helped in the staging area. Overall this was a terrible experience for my team and i even tho we ended up leaving in the top 3. This field was run bad, reffing terrible, and overall bad field setup. Maybe with more experience in the paintball world things might end up changing but as for now count on me and alot of other people not going.
i was just wondering if you have a bad day at a tourny should you bash the field? maybe i am wrong but this is an outdoor field, which means you will be outdoors. so if it looks like rain bring a tent. i know the owners would have made sure everyone was out of the rain. i am sorry but i do not think it is fair to bash a place. if you do not like it that is fine but don't be nasty about it.
i think you are just a whiner..QUOTE-There is no canopy or anything of any sort to help protect us from rain, wind, ect. (By the way this place is all outdoors including the proshop). UNQUOTE yeah man OUTDOORS!! do you know the meaning of that?.
also you are completely free to express your opinion IF you don't let it get to the point where you are flamming the field. I allways hate to see that...
