Well, the field is actually unders some powerlines, hence the name. Upon entering there is a gravel parking lot, and two trailers. The Parking lot looks to accomadate 20 cars or so, but there is also plenty of grass, so there really is no space issue. the Trailers are where the field office/fill station is. Inside there are a few parts for sale, and a few boxes however they look to have been there for years (A Splatmaster Rapide was on the wall, and an Automag sight rail in the glass case) so, not really a well stocked proshop, but I did see O-rings and tanks, and those are the things players need, and I seen a few Tippmann 98s which I assume are rentals, so they have the things that count.
The guy who was running everything was nice, and friendly, the prices are some of the best around ($10 field fee $7 air, BYOP). Paint prices were alright too, even though it is a BYOP field. There were a few refs all of whom actually did their job, which is a refreshing change from the norm. Most of the players where a bit young, only a few people who actually looked 21 or over.
The particular day I went the Airball field was not there, everyone was playing on the hyperball field. People watching the hyperball field had to wear goggles as there was no net, and the refs did check to make sure that goggles where on when barrel covers were off. the hyperball field was good, not swampy and none of the pipes fell down, however there were some rather large gaps between pipes, and the symmetry was not all that great on the field. Powerline has many other fields, but we were not playing them that day.
Overall I had a good time, I would like to see what all else the field has, I will be back again.

This is the only place i have played paintball, mainly because i dont know where anywhere else to play is. Anyways this field is great. There are 3 woodsball fields, an airball field, and hyperball field. The people that work there are great. If your gun breaks on you they will loan you a rental and try to fix your gun. My friends and I go try to go as many times as we can. There are almost always people there and its easy to get games going. But make sure you go with at least a small group of your friends because you might end up waiting a little bit for people to show, but you can usually get in a game once you get there. Its a great field and if your in the area you definitely need to check it out.

Powerline might not be the biggest course or have the best feilds but the guys who work there are great. They will give useful advice to beginners(like me) and they arent uptight like the guys at pevs. Powerline also has great prices. I have friends who need to rent guns when we go play and at powerline it is cheaper to rent and u can use your own paint in the guns!. At pevs they give you some BS that when you rent a gun you have 2 use their paint which is WAYYYYYYY overpriced. The guys at powerline will also sometimes jump in and play in a game when thiers not alot of people and this makes the game much funner and more challenging because us beginners have our Tippmann 98's and and alot of other beginner guns and they have intimaditors and such..

Powerline paintball is by far one of the most professionally(sp?) run fields I have ever played at. There staff is very knowleged in all paintball markers and paintball equipment, they are very professional when it comes to helping players out if its getting registered, getting equipment, everything. They have there team out there almost every weekend Saturday and Sunday to help out at the feild and to play with the other walk-ons as well. I give this field a 10!

Powerline is a great starter course, it has 2 or 3 woods courses (DONT REMEMBER), it just got its airball field set up, catails is nice, and the hyperball is pretty good...other things that impress me are the prices and the service...
all day air-$7.00...thats excellent
there paint prices are reasonable, i get wholesale since ive been going there for so long
they will fill nitro and co2, so every one is welcome
and its a walk on course....
GO TO POWERLINE, YOU WONT REGRET IT |

First It should be clarified that the field is in Stafford not Fredicksburg. The field itself is a real fun place to play. They have a bunch of fields woods and speed ball. The owner (Paul) is about the nicest guys you will ever run into. The other employees are really nice. The cost to play is very reasonable. Field fee is 10 dollars and all day air is 7. I think they charge a little extra for end of day fill but that is reasonable. They do not overcharge you for paint like Pevs. They have a crono machine but they expect you to be a stand up person and follow the max FPS of 280. The field could use a little more safety awareness but it is not unsafe there. I am going to give the field an 8. |

The staff is awesome, they will go out of there way to help you, the first time i went i went with one other person, and no one else showed up, so he said that we could walk on to a team practice the next day if no one else showed up. the next time i went the teams weren't even so he evened out the teams by playing himself. The fields looked a mess but it was to be expected after hurricane Isabel. i came a few weeks later and they were straightened out. All in all a great field, but it really needs a pro shop. |

the people at powerline rock!!!!! they are real friendly and go out of their way to lend a helping hand to people in need. They have 7 kick @$$ fields including air ball, hyper ball, junk yard, woods, cat tails, and a snapple machine field. if you want to go to a inexpensinve field but still have great service and and fun go to powerline, check them out at www.powerlinepaintball.net.
I want to give a shout out to my boys at powerline

Powerline staff rocks. They are very respectful to the customer and helpout when they can. They often loan out tanks, barrel covers, hoppers and tanks free of charge when a player brakes or misplaces theres. I love the NEW airball field it rocks. Theres been some great tournament players as well as walkon players so finding a game in you skill level should not be a problem. All in All 10!! |
