Review: I've gone to the UMass fields a bunch of time this summer and I've had a great time. It's small, and there aren't always a lot of people there, but hopefully that'll change when the next semester starts up again. I would highly recommend heading over to the forums on their website to talk to them. They usually let you know what's up on the forums before the Sunday so you know if people will be there or not.

They've got some CO2, tippman rentals, etc. Sometimes they've got a scuba tank or two there for compress air fills. You'll have to ask them if they'll have paint there beforehand, otherwise, just bring your own.

They've got a few spool fields with a castle setup on one end which is cool. It's a great woods field and a lot of fun.

Heck, it's only $5 to play there all day (air is $2/fill) so go try it out!

Review: I got started in paintball with the people at the Umass field, and they were great. They answered all my newbie questions, and let me try out all sorts of markers that they had so I could make a good choice on buying my own. Though they dont technically have refs, everyone who plays pretty much refs themselves. I've never really had an issue with a disputed call or wipe, and there are no close shots since all bunkering is done by touch. Overall this is the most laid back and fun field I've played at, and remains safe as well

Review: Well, you cant beat the price, and more importantly, you can't beat the game play! The field is kinda like speed ball meets woods ball, lots of bunkers made of wooden spool tops and pallets. The field is pretty big, relative to other places i have played at back in michigan.

Most important is the people there, they are some of the friendliest paintballers i have ever played with. They make sure that you are having a good time, that the games are even, and that no one gets hurt.

The other two stand out things about the UMass field are, tap bunkering only, so no one gets hurt. And, the fact that the field goal, is to make it the cheepest place to play an organized game in the area.

and yes, it is true, a case of pmi premiums for 50 bucks, the freshest you can get...

come out and play with us!

Review: ok, this place is great, its basicly a "rec" field, a few woodland fields (cleared underbrush, so its like trees with with bunkers - you can get used to this if your a speedballer)

they got a makeshift semi hyperball field, they use a bit of land off the side of the woods to play there, is really cool

good stuff
-ppl are nice, very rarely any problems there
-field fee is CHEAP, $5 per entry (but you only have to pay 4 times in a semester)
-paint is cheap, they sell field paint, which is normaly pmi premiums for $50 a case!!!, and if thats not cheap enough, your allowed to BYOP!!!
-air, is cheap, $2 a fill of co2, any size tank, beats many places for a fill nearby...
-people tend not to be evil, i havnt seen many ppl wipe, games are well balanced most of the time....

bad stuff
-no refs, well, there is refs but well, its voluntary
-mainly woodsball, most ppl go there to play in the woodsfields,
- the speedball field isnt permanant, it needs to be pulled out and put back after use
-nitro is sometimes a problem, they normaly have 3k scubas.... (cant fill to 4.5k, and sometimes they dont even have that)
