I work for insight paintball at the waldorf store and i decided to go with AL and the group session he was running...
There are 3 fields we played, one was a sloped woods field wich was pretty fun... there also was a field with wooden bunkers wich plays very fast...
But the best field was the big wooded field with the creek/stream going through the middle... left side has thick brush and a few deep gulleys... and the right side is more flat and open... the middle has a clearing and there is all types of ways to play this field...
Very awesome field... AL does a great job hosting and reffing... safety comes first and everyone gets along... you dont have to deal with little kids wiping and cheating since everyone who was there were friends... very nice time and i hope to go again soon before battle of stalingrad at skirmish...

i had a good time when i went to Paintball Shooters with the crew from Insight Paintball. The saftey breifing was good, the feild setup i liked, and the safe areas were clearly pointed out. The village rocked, i loved the way the largest of the 3 feilds were set up - a raviene of sorts in the center, and alot of good hiding places - camo a must. i do plan going again in fact i will be there on june 4th with the crew from insight paintball again. oh and the cost.....was fair i know that alot of upkeep is needed in these types of fields so i have no problem paying the amount required.

This is my first time using an organized pay field. |

I went with a group of 10 people out to Paintball Shooters for a birthday gathering. First negative of the day was the length of time it took to get started. Handing out equipment, paintballs, safety briefing, etc. took much longer than I expected. Paintball Shooters made up for this by allowing us to play quite a bit past the end of our session. They were flexible.
After the briefing, the 40 or so people were split up into two groups. Each group then had one ref and would split into opposing teams. The owner/ref was not with my group, so I cannot comment on his style. Our ref was younger (maybe 16) and definitely needed to be more assertive. Most of the 20 people under his watch were new to pay-for-play fields. But, just as with the timing issue, he was very flexible. For the lost time trying to figure out were he wanted us to go next, he made up for it by allowing us to choose which scenarios to replay. If you have a few guys in your group that are assertive and will take the lead, then this ref's lax style was actually a blessing.
Played several fields-
Single flag field. TOO SHORT. Basically speed-ball in a thicket. Was not impressed with this field at all.
Village. Pretty cool. Close quarters with the ability to maneuver. Had a blast playing on this field. A few of the huts needed to be repaired or strengthened. All in all, a fun field.
Large wooded field. Good area. Two hilltops separated by a creek ravine. Largest of the fields. Had man-made cover for one team and only trees for the other. Be sure to play this field an even number of times from both ends to balance things out.
Rental equipment was solid. Model 98's and 98 Customs. I had my own marker and mask, so I cannot say how great they were, but Tippmanns are tough.
Paint was expensive ($80 for 2,000) and not very good. Most balls had dimples and curved too much for my taste.
Minor gripe, the flags on all of the fields were barely visible. The flag stations were tough to locate and when you finally found them, the flag was basically a neon streamer. Easily missed, easily torn. Same for the team armbands. Hard to tell who was friendly and who was not.
I had a wonderful time at this field, but more due to the fact that I love paintball and was with eight of my closest friends. |

It's pretty much a group only field. Whether or not you get to play is pretty much up to the group renting the field. I played at three different sections of the field. The village setup was very well put together, the side of the hill in front of the village is a good place for a CTF match. If you like sneaking around there's a hilly field to the left of the village. Rental guns are in very good working condition. I'd suggest bringing your own gear, however. The masks they have for rent fog up very quickly. Paint is somewhat expensive, as is renting out the land for a group match.
They reccomend 10 or more people. It's not required to play here. One size paint from what I can tell.. Bring some sort of a barrel kit with a small caliber bore.
I give it a 9. It's a great field but group only play is kind of a minus.| Last edited on Monday, October 4th, 2004 at 12:16 pm PST |

Very Nice feilds. This one has one of the BEST urban feilds i have ever played on. The woods feilds are good too, some of them are a little small though, with the exception of a big one, that is really good cause you can really work on tactics and such. The Owner is an awsome guy, and and he is fair. If you have any gun troubles he will fix it. Before you go, i recrememd calling to see if anyone else is going or not, but most of the time there is at least one other party willing to take you in. THey have Pro-Carbine Rentals, But bad paint prices and its feild paint only. THe prices for admission are average, but at least you start out with 100 free paintballs. Overall, this is a great feild. |

I love this field even though I have only played ther once. There 20 building village is probably there best field, but they also have a good woods field. there first field is there best woods field it has a stream going threw it and thick brush with some fallen trees witch make it a great field for everyone. there other 2 fields are ok. This field is also good for large groops because you can play wih alot of poeple(when i went we played 25 on 25 for one game). There are 2 downfalls the first downfall is that this field takes awhile for everybody to get setup. Second the paint for this field is 80$ witch is way to much i think, but if mostly everybody brought guns this is a great field. Therefore, i give this field a 8/10.

A decent field. Good things first- the village is great it makes for a fast paced yet still strategic game. The refs are good. Well organized. However DON'T BUY PAINT it is insanely expensive! Also it is a better course if you own your own gun and have all your supplies because air isn't free either, and they only give 200 rds before you have to buy your own, also the supplied guns aren't the greatest. But overall it is a good place to go for beginners and it is good for larger groups because they will let you have your own field. As long as you have your own equipment this field can be really fun. |

paint ball shooters is a great field to play on there village rocks, along with there wooded course, reveins and so fourth, many different strategys can be used and courses are prefect in size, paints expensive, and dont be a renter, 80$ for a case of paint is bs. air who cares its air, refs are good, and normally got a full house on sundays, over all not a bad place to play just heavy on the wallet!!!!
