Review: I know I listed just once but this is my second trip to the field. They just did not offer a selection for twice in a year is all.
This being my second time was due to the fact that Pure Adrenalin closed, as another review stated.

Well there was a reason it has been a year since the first time was not that impressive, I did not like playing in the open field and tall grass on an 85 degree day while the woods field was not allowed to be played on. The did not make much since to me because players were wanting to play in the woods for nothing more than sweating to death since most had on some sort of camouflage.

Well here I am a year later and wow what a change that has been made. The field has been greatly improved! Kudos here fellows, but that surprise was short lived. The staff that day, as I remember them being proud about proclaiming all being under sixteen and it showed. To start they advertise on the web site that you can use a credit or debit card. Not the case in the morning or at least until they actually discovered that the equipment to charge cards was there.

Then there was the fact that it was actually a field operating with out a compressor and you were lucky to get a 3,000 psi fill. That is always a pet peeve of mine when a field does not have a compressor available. Then later in the day it was admitted to, that the “kids” running the field had a compressor on site just not the know how to run it.

Then we got to the field part or at least the one chronograph of the day that was watched by a field official. That went well, it was just during the course of the day that people were testing their own chrono speed and setting the high velocity alarm off that no referee took any action, even after being notified by other players that there were players shooting hot. Judging by all the Co2 I saw being filled that day there should have been way more chrono testing that day.

This leads to the other problem, when you have “field regulars” who do not go out unless a referee tells them they are out. No matter how much paint they have on them up to and including two goggle shots on the same mask and the excuse is and I quote “I did not see them”. Well that is what you would expect in a speed ball environment but not usually a woods or recreation ball filed. The other problem I encountered was the fact that some not all but some of the referees were pointing out for the “regulars” where other players were coming up behind them and was done to myself. As if it is not bad enough trying to put some one out who can not see goggle shots on their mask it adds a new degree of difficulty trying to get them out when the refs are pointing you out.

The stacking of the teams was another challenge the refs just could not get a handle on, even if you have some regulars that play together, and you have walk-on’s that obviously need help you should have no problem separating teams, most of the time you should be able to just look at what people are shooting its not to hard to figure out who has experience and who needs help, again adults would have been helpful running the field.

Over all I think if the owners of the store read this it just might make the filed a place more players would want to come and enjoy as it has the potential to be a great field to handle a large amount of player. Also I do not want it over shadowed that they have made some great improvement to the field in the year since I have last played and there. There were a lot of great people I met that day, which I believe will be back after some changes are made in the staffing and running of the field.

Review: Ok im changing my previous review on this field cause i made 1 the first time i went to the field and it wasnt a good rating but heres what i think now that i have been there a couple times more.

They have changed the field a lot and it is a pretty awesome field now, i would prefer a pure woods course but i havent heard of any good ones around so im waiting for mad dawgs for that but anyway this field is cool, there is a tall mound in the middle and a couple castles and little mounds and then a woods part on the side of the field so its quite fun.

The refs this last time out were amazing, always checkin paint and anytime i asked for a game they set it right up it was awesome, they are nice guys just wantin to do whatever u wanna do.

Field fees... i just suggest u have all ur own gear lol, its not that bad if u do, 16 to get in 4 if u bring ur own paint thats not from CDR and then if u dont have a mask thats another 5 bucks, 3 bucks to rent a barrel bag (and 5$ to buy one), and the list goes on for prices... but if u have ur own gear its really not that bad.

the people there are also really friendly, i have made a bunch of friends there that i still go there and play with, i havent seen a single player that goes around swearing thinking hes the best or anything, just a bunch of cool guys wantin to play some ball. also a bunch of people show up at this field... i went this last sunday (april 13th) and there was about 60 people that showed up for a sunday, thats pretty dang good.

so i've changed my rating on this field from a 5 to an 8. its a very fun field.

Review: I haven't played at this field in a couple of years. The layout has been changed. Not better or worse, just different. I brought a group of kids from church with me and including us there were probably 50-60 people. Naturally this caused a huge slow down on checking in and paying. Took us probably 1 1/2 hours before we finally played. Most of the time there were just 2 refs. Could have been a couple more for the size of the group.

I do have one gripe, this was my first time using my new ION that I got for Christmas, and it wasn't working. Air on, but no firing when you pull the trigger. I took the gun to the guys working the shop and asked if they knew anything about IONs. I was told yes. They looked at it and couldn't find anything wrong. Outta luck. They said to bring it by the shop and they could try to fix it for cheap. Luckily I had a couple other guns with me, or I woulda been done for the day. Well, to make a long story a little shorter, at home I decided to try changing out the battery and now my gun works. No issues with the solenoids, no repair costs. I know I should know how my gun works, but come on. Replace the battery? The guys at the field should have been able to figure that one out.

Overall, I would say that on this day, the field was just o.k. Not too good, not too bad.

Review: We have played here several times. Cedar is very cool and will go the extra to make sure your experiance was a good one. He knows Autocockers. He fixed mine! All feilds go through periods of good and poor Refs. For the most of the time, his Refs are pretty good. I liked his SLUM Village. It could be more even/fair from both sides though. But it was fun. I really like his WoodsBall feild. Lots of trees, logs, stumps, ect. The Hyper Feild is real fast paced. You better know how to run FAST! It's alot of fun though. The POND is a TRIP! It's a fun feild. His paint prices are comparable to other feilds I've been to. Chrono is checked every time you enter the feilds. Both experianced and Newbs play here. The teams are evened out pretty well. Overall this is a great place to play! Garett

Review: Showed up at 1130, on a Sunday. Field fee, air, and lunch costs me 20$, ok that is not bad... then 4 more $$$ for bringing my own paint... Ok I have heard of doing that no biggie.

I asked the worker at the desk to fill my CO2, he takes the tank, and says " oh its full " well the day before I shot the thing empty, so I explain that to him, and he "fills" my CO2. To my suprise, my tank was empty after about 230 rounds... Hmm when did my 20 oz tank magically turn into a 9 oz?

I take it back up for a re-fill, and he messes it up again.

Combine that with the fact that there were people milling around with out their barrel covers on, and there were only about two refs, and the woods were closed, and you get a poorly managed, understaffed, waste of a day. After I explained this, the kid working at the desk did then do his best to solve what problems he could, which is the only good part of the whole expirence. He asked if he could fill my tank again, had a safety brief, and then when he saw that nothing would have kept me there, called the manager, and re-funded me...

In summary, poor knowledge base, messy unkept field, loose safety rules, under staff, and amateur refs, (teenager)

Even if I lived two blocks from this place, I would go 45 minutes away to a better field.
CDR must stand for crappy dumb retards....

Review: I showed up right on time at ten o'clock.
We didn't start playing until about 10:30 because people weren't ready.
Before we played we all had to hear a quick safety meeting and then we started playing.
Before every game the refs made us all chrono to check our speeds, one kids gun broke and the refs took it up to the sign in station and fixed it quick.

The field is awesome. At first I was a little digusted by the mud, but whatever it was a rainy weekend. There is a huge mound in the middle of the field which is awesome to play.
I also liked the woodsball course. It was very challenging and exciting to play.
Pizza came at noon for everybody that ordered it. We got 2 huge slices and a pop.

Overall this field was very fun to play, the refs were very good and I frequently saw them dashing acrossed the field to check people. I accidently shot one at the chrono station from like 2 feet away and he just started laughing and said it was ok.

Review: This was the first time I have been back to this field. The staff was friendly, but the field was immensely overgrown. The "city" was unplayable, and the "castle" the used to be there is no longer. It was in shambles as far as what it used to be. The speedball field was decent though. It could be a top notch field if someone were to take the time/effort to clean it up and maintain it. I would not/will not return until then.

Review: CDR Sports is our closest good quality field to Whidbey Island. We (me and my team) play here quite often and play against other people our level and newbies quite a bit too. That's one great thing about this field is it's for everyone. If you look at all the ways they set up games you end up having five or six field choices. They have a great castle and a cool woods field around a pond. Since I play mainly speedball the speedball field they have is also a plus and they have top quality blow up bunkers. The reffing staff is awesome and will help you on the field if you need it amd will also teach you how to do better. If your out and people are still shooting at you the refs will get in frot of the oncoming paint so you can get out safely. They also paintcheck you all the time if you call them over if they think your hit. This field also sponsors my tournament team and is one of the greatest fields I have ever been too.

Review: Pros_____ Cheap Air and Field Fee . Big 5 +acre play area . Nice clean staging area with parking near lots of tables ............CONS_____This used to be a Rec ball field now CDR turned it into a speedball course.Last year I remember 60 to 80 people showing up on Saturdays and they never closed off sections , no matter how many players we had. I think it is that the refs are strictly speedballers and don't know how to run a rec ball field....NOTE TO REFS : You cannot flank when you can't go around !!! Flanking is rec ball ! Another thing is that they use only One Ribbon Color with the other side no Ribbon at all . I guess they think that's O.K. since they don't use Ribbons in Tournaments. I keep hearing players groan when they close off the woods, their reason is ....We don't have enough people ".Geez You Guys , get a clue ! Then they put the lake in it's own field and now we can't go there either. I used to rate this place a 7 or 8 , but now with all these things , no more . It does't do any good to complain to the refs , they don't take any advice.

Review: This field is great in many ways. First, there's ample parking everywhere and parking is next to everything (Staging, shop, and entrance to field). The field....

The field is made of a main section made of large stumps, high-dirt mounds, stacked empty spools, a brokend down car, and my favorite, the fort. Upon entering the field, you'll see the speed-ball oriented field. But go further down into the woods and you have a great woods ball area also.

I'd say the area is somewhere close to 2.5-3 acres (1 field only). The fort, which was a highlight for the field (to me at least) has a center tower that looks over the fort walls. With the tower you can provide massive cover fire and direct your team of other players and moves. It's also a good challenge for the opposing team to take over.

Get two gunners up there with R/Ts (no full-auto), and you will hold the opposing team down. But then there's the woods next to the fort, which provides the opposing team excellent flanking abilities....

The woods section is as big as the main open area. This provides a longer alternate route to the other team's bell (base). The woods is very playable and provides good cover with open areas to get in shootouts.

The place was understaffed. I'd say about 3-4 refs for the whole place, which could have used 6 easily. The shop is excellent though. People running it looked very knowledgeable and they have a lot of parts you can get. Chronograph is at 285-295 and is checked every other 3-4 games (which is reasonable).

My complaint would be the rotation of games. There's a 15-20 minute gap between games, way too long. The ref's seem to be a little unorganized too. Ref's age is 16-18?

I give the field an 8.
