Review:
I played in the KFOC event held at Lake Cumberland, and had a great time. I had a couple complaints about the quality of the officiating, and was unimpressed by their spool field (so the captains voted to play strictly airball). Jeff McGaha, the owner, is a great guy and ambassador for the sport. Despite a few minor shortcomings, this is a good field.
I have also played at Greensburg paintball which is a nice set of fields and well ran. However, the speedball fields at LCP are flatter and better maintained.
Review:
Lake Cumberland Paintball is an awesome place to play. Located in Russell County Kentucky it host a very nice, polite, and knowledgeable group of players, techs, and people who just like to play paintball. While the pro-shop is not constantly stocked with everything you could possibly want, LCP is quick to get it ordered and at a very good price. For first time players they have a great rental fee, and for the more experience all the necessities. The spool field is well designed and well maintained, air ball field is set up on tourney days and other special occasions, and a hyperball field is in the works as well. As far as woodsball and scenario play there are forts, bunkers, and foxholes on a nice level area with plenty of trees and little undergrowth (no thorns). Jeff runs a nice field at LCP and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area. Series tourneys held at the field include PRA and KFOC.
