I am kind of new to paintballing, so my field experience isn't great but this field was sweet. This place has got the coolest set up for any kind of fight you want to play. They've got all kinds of neat buildings including a real 2-story house w/basement, theres the TRAIN STATION(my favorite buliding), the GLADSTONE HOTEL, the SHERRIF, and many other cool ones. And the cool part of it is that all the buildings except the house, the silo, and a few grain bins were built entirely from scratch. There is also a whole lot of old spools, wooden pallets, washing machines, barrels, big tires, wagons, and all sorts of stuff scatterd throughout the field surrounding the buildings making it a great area for intense combat. I was fighting with kind of a small number so it wasn't really a big huge fire fight or anything but from wut i experienced and wut the staff told me and the pictures i saw, this place really has had an awsome reputation for a lot of huge, glorious battles and lots of very satisfied paintballers. They have many different games u can play like centerflag, house game, woods game, and many other cool game ideas. The price is also a great deal. If you don't own a gun or anything, u can rent a gun, a 12oz tank, 500 balls, and a mask for $32. This deal is good because you can go all day and get free refills on gas, but if you run out of paint, you have to pay $15 to get 500 more which is a pretty good deal in my opinion. If u prefer your own gun, tank, and mask u only need to pay for paint, your field fee, and your gas refill fee which comes about $7 cheaper than the rental package. The rental stuff is great u get a nice, well mantained Tippman 98 with a nice mask and great paintballs. For any pb vetrens or beginners out there, Combat Ranch is the place to go and I plan on going there again soon. | Last edited on Sunday, July 22nd, 2007 at 9:52 pm PST |

Cobatranch is the best place ive went to! Its field is about 7 acres. It has 1 old house, about 5 or 6 ranch themed bunkers. It also has tires, big spools, and a whole bunch of other obstacles. Its prices are good. you can rent a gun and2 bags of paint for about 20 to $25.
They have great safety rules like "Mercy Kill" were if you get really close to somone you say mercy kill and if they dont surrender you can shoot them at close range. Some of the games are, house game, Normandy, center flag, and woods game. They have a great staff and i hope you enjoy it there!| Last edited on Wednesday, August 15th, 2007 at 11:11 am PST |

I have played on fields all the way from British Columbia to MN and it is one of the better fiels out there , the staff is great , the speed ball fiels is a good size field not to big , I cant wait till they get the other speed ball field up and going ,if they are still going to use it now that Chris has left , Mike you are a great guy , what they have done to the field is incredible with all the building.
The price of paint is great compared to out west so if you think the paint is too costly try paying the price I pay out on the west coast , i pay $120 for a case of paint and its not even Evil.
The store has alot of great things in it , most of the time if you need something they will get it for you even if they dont carry it .
Thanks for the good times at your field.

Went out to Combat Ranch in Jamestown for DBGC 7 (last big game of the circuit was held at Combat Ranch), and camped overnight in thier camping area with friends the night before the game, great camping spots, and outhouses available, the field owners Mike and Chris were very accomodating and helped family pick out a spot and some other regulars from the field assisted my family with getting our tent set up. It was COLD that night lol, but we survived (45 degrees).
We were not allowed to walk the field the previous night for fairness reasons to other players and the fact they had laid tripmines on the field. But the next day came.....
And what a day it was, LOTS of people showed up as in close to 200 or so(as they do for the circuit at other fields also)
They had a great staging area with a trailer /proshop set up with many items for players, and rentals that were well maintaned, I didnt rent one myself but saw that they were good ol Tippy 98's.
The field is a old west theme and offers great play, combonation of buildings, pvc pipes laid strategically in the middle and an old 2 story house w/basement.
Played many different games, center flag, gettysburg (lol, great game), and a house game.
The house game: OMG, this was nuts, attacking the house was intense, but the next round they switched the teams around and WE were in that crazy house the next match, ever feel like a rat in a paint splattered cage??? With 70 or so people crammed in there with me, i sure felt like one, the adrenalin was insane as 100 other people or so started shooting at that place.
Prices are reasonable and the paint quality is good too.
Mike and Chris rock, they really have done well with this place, and thier store is helpful too, offering installation at a very cheap rate if you buy the part from them.
Go there, do it, quit reading already :).

Combat ranch is for all purposes the best field I've played on. The main field has a layout similar to an old west town. It includes a train station, house, hotel, jail, and several other buildings. The house makes for some very interesting scenario games and the field lends itself to ctf (capture the flag) or elim games. As for the speedball field, its just the right size for 5 vs 5 games. Its just big enough that it'll test your accuracy at the edge of your marker's range towards the beginning of the game, and you have to work to get to the better bunkers. The staff here is very friendly and if you play here more then 2 or 3 times you'll probably get to know most of them. They have also added a camping site recently. If you catch it on the right days you can play in the dakota big game circuit here. And last but not least there's the chance for night games ... if you've never played in one ... its great ... you won't be disappointed. |

hey all,
i started paintballing on this field and it was awsome the whole time, mike (the owner) is an awsome guy and he'll help yah with what ever yah need, this field is awsome cuz it has a 2 story house with a pimp basement so i guess that makes it a three story house. but the field is awsome the best urban field you'll find. theres another two story "hotel"
and a whole crapload of other buildings, an awsome layout, mike really cares about what he does. before i left, mike built an awsome speedball field(so much fun). but yah my only regret is that i moved. whenever i go up there again im gonna play at combat ranch as much as possible.... as far as prices i think mike is awsome with his paintball prices... when i was there it was $15 for 500 balls which is awsome considering he uses tournament paint... so that is only $60 for 2000 which is a pretty damn good deal considering that paint is alot more.. as far as i know mike didnt care about the money he only cared about his customer/friends having an awsome time and i think he succeeds.. at least for me... i give this field a 100 out of 10 .. thanks mike for the experience i gained on your field... i kick butt down here.. if you ever get a chance to play at combat ranch... DO IT!... you wont regret it!

I will give this feild a rating of 9, becuase of its great setup. The spools/ houses/ tire bunkers/etc were set up in an almost perfect position. They explain their rules clearly and welcome newcomers. the veterans are friendly and help out whenever they can. the reason i didnt give them a ten was because it was a lil spendy to play. other than that it was awesome
