field
long story short its a good field. they have room for 3 outdoor airball fields, usually have them all up, and you usually get the chance to play all three. there's dirt or woodchips to slide around in a bit, no grass, muddy in the winter. nice little cleaning station, fill to 3k.
people
there's a good mix of the "some kid's birthday party" type, rec players, and more serious players, a little different every time you go. the refs are pretty good about doing their job, there's not much over shooting or players getting out of line. they've got thier regulars and they're all cool people, and whoever is behind their desk is helpful enough.
Safety
They're big on masks and barrel bags and keeping under the chorno, but if you've shown that your gun isnt hot and they know you're not there to break their rules its not like their gonna make you chrono before every game. They're as strict as you make them be.
Prices
15 half day
20 all day
10 all day air
I've seen cheaper fields, but their prices are the same as kapps was, so i guess that about standard issue
Of the places i've played, nor cal is a good airball field. You play enough to get your pb fix on well laid out fields with decent enough human beings. I've never had a bad day there. |

Directions to the Field: |
Get off the freeway at whatever exit mapquest/yahoo shows, then make your first left into a parking lot. Continue down, and bust a left again BEFORE the skateboard park. You'll see two caged vending machines on your right. Turn right there and head down towards the dirt road. One of the roads is a one way, so make sure you take the right side road. Continue down and you'll see a tiny sign on your right. There's barbed wire and it looks like you're heading into a jail. |

Surprisingly a good field.
REFS:
People always wonder about the refs. There's a guy, Tod there that's the best ref I've ever met. He runs into the field to do paint checks, yells so freakin' loud that everyone can hear. He says, "Let him out! Let him out!" after someone gets tagged. He even grabbed my pod that I dropped and jogged all the way to the other side of the field to return it to me. Have you ever met a ref that would do that?....I've met one once at Bear Creek, but the kind gesture is still a rarity. Yes, the refs are young but they're pretty good compared to places like Davis paintball. Their refs there are definitely a joke. The don't do paint checks often and they barely move around.
GAMES:
They happen back to back except every so often they have a 5 minute break. The advance and intermediate players play together. The advance people aren't all that advanced compared to the other fields I've been to. This is with the exception of the teams which play on their own field. Those guys are pretty darn good. Superman dives and everything. I swear every player on that team can do a superman dive.
Pistols are allowed in the beginner games, but it really depends on the ref.
FIELD:
There's one favorite field for most of the players and that's the Arena. It's one of the bigger fields they have I guess and the spacing of the bunkers is perfect. The angles are perfect and it looks like someone actually put some thought into designing the field. The bleachers face the field at a good distance for mommies and daddies who want to watch.
PLAYERS:
Some guys are the nicest I've met, but compared to other fields I've gone to, there's a few guys out there who are really quite mean. Pretty cocky when they get someone out or claim to have tagged out an opponent.
Quick story (good): After I was tagged out and was walking off the field, I saw one of our players looking on the ground. He lost his bolt!!! I helped him look for it but couldn't find it. I finally just let him use my ION and he was pretty grateful and had a positive attitude. I can imagine not everyone would be as appreciative. For the record, he did use lots of paint. But that's okay.
Quick story (bad): I took my pistol into the beginners game where I assume they have the "surrender" rule. Apparently they don't....or at least the guy I bunkered didn't think so. I snuck up on him, pointed my Tac8 at his back and yelled, "Surrender! Surrender Surrender!" I was about 8 feet away. His buddy tagged me out, but he stayed in the game! I only surrendered him b/c I didnt' want to blast a huge bruise on him! After telling him after the game, he got all sarcastic on me. Most players are definitely not like him. There's always a bunghole at every field. I guess it was him.
This is the first field I've been to where I saw more than a couple 45 yr olds. It's pretty cool that there's some father and son guys coming out. It makes for a really diverse age group and the older guys are much nicer than the spoiled little brats. No offense to small people. Most of you guys are cool. There's just a few that are meanies.
PRICE:
Price is $55 a case. You might want to bring your own paint to save some cash.

The field has 4 air ball fields close to a great paintball store managed by the captain of the BushWakers, whos exxelent on working with guns, the field has food for purchase and extra gear for rent and offers week deals early bird specials and has a friendly staff, good players and the price is well worth it for the little money paid, good reffs, and well enforced rules. Bathrooms small pro shop, co2 comp air fills avalibe up to 3500 psi, a great place to experence paintball for your first time good luck |

They are open from saturday to sunday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm on both days. The refs are very helpful and nice. If you have a question they will answer with the full explanaition of things. The prices are $15 for half a day and $20 all day you may rent gear if you want but its like 100 dollars and re-filling co2 costs $5 for 20 oz and im not sure how much compressed air is sorry. If you arrive before 9:00 am you can get the early bird special. Buy a box of paint and you get a discount on the entry fee i think. The refs call either walk-ons, begginer walk-ons or advancede walk-ons. You may go to which ever one you want to. The players there are really nice and they are not mean people who could care less about stuff. If you need something just ask a player and they will try to help you out. Its like playing a game of survivor but your all on a team but not when your in the field. they are really all about safety so make sure you have your barrel sleeve in and your mask on before you enter or leave. the mask can come off once out of the field. The field is 4 airball fields and all have netting around them. |

This field was awsome! my first time going to an actual field and everything and everyone there was great. there are 3 airball fields there, only played 2, and they were set up perfectly. they put beginners at one field and advanced at another so it was fair. the prices were good and if u show up before 9 they give u a deal on a case of paint. the refs were really cool to talk to and hang out with and they even have bathrooms instead of port-a-potties. noone even got near the field without a barrel condom and the fps was 285 max and everyone chronod their guns to it. would definately go there again and plan too. just hope i have a better gun to compete! |

Exelent field, have been playing there religosly for 3 years and i never get board.
better than any other fields in the area. WAP is alright also but it has alot of good players and most of the people that play norcal cant stand up to d2 players. But over all this is an exelent field, friendly and experianced staff and good fasilitys 3 great fields and good players,
but i must say that lately it has been becoming a wipe fest and you have to shoot the ppl like 4-5 times before they get out or they wipe. |

this is a prety decent park. no portapoties!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but kapp was sorta beter. acourse they went outa buisiness. they have a good feild layout and 3 feilds. the only drawback is that by the end of the day, all the bunkers are realy deflated. The refs there are realy cool, and they actualy play insteda standin around. They'l do a paint check if you call it, and they are realy good at gauging chrono without a machine, and will call you out if you'r chrono is to high |

i have been to nor cal twice and i must say, its a GREAT field. It beats Kapp 1,000,000 to 0. the area where you put all youre stuff is covered by a stable that was used for horses but cleande up and they put picknic tables in. there is plenty of room for a large crowd and enough room to move around. they also have a large batroom, no porta-potties. what i really like about the firld is how the games are set up. they have experienced players go to one field, and inexperienced players go to another, so there is no first time kid getting bunkered and shot 123846125847 times in the first game.but for me, i am intermediate. when i went to the experienced field, i was owned, BIG TIME. then when i went to the other unexperienced field (the ref saw the game and let me go to the unexperienced field) i was god, i couldnt be touched. all in all this is a great field and i give it a 10/10 |

This field is soooo cool. I love it. The air ball Fields are set up really well and the prices are really good. ITS ONLY 5 BUCKS IF YOU BUY A CASE OF PAINT FROM THEM!!!! Another really cool thing is the Friday night games. Its at night and the field has lights (duh). Its from 7pm-11pm (i think it might be to 10pm). I GIVE THIS FIELD A 10/10| Last edited on Tuesday, November 8th, 2005 at 2:12 pm PST |
