Well I went to Epik Paintball today with a group of friends and I wanted to say I had a great time. I actually really enjoyed myself today and I had a good experience. I rented a gun from the shop that was in good condition. It included a Spyder semi automatic in decent shape, approx 1 yr. old, a mask that wasnt all scratched up, a 12 oz co2 tank , barrell bag, and a hopper for $10.00. Your able to upgrade to Ions if you want.
This field is a barrell bag facility only! They sell paintballs on site or you can byop. They only allow certain kinds so check with them first. Entry was discounted because I came with a group of 10 or more but standard priceing was $15.00 and that included all day air. To me thats a good deal. There paintballs were a good quality for the price. ITs blaze by draxxus and its sold by the bag of 500 for 15.00 or box of 2000 for 50.00.
They have 2 airball fields that were up and a woods field. We played in the woods alot for a change since the other local fields are only airball. They had a Xball field that was used alot thru the day. Air was convently located by the fields and they allow NO bunkering, its a 10 foot rule. They shoot at 280 fps so you dont get beaten to death.
The refs were quick to turn the games around quick and were really nice. The people in the shop were great too. Informative and they went over all the rules before they sent you outside. Since we were a group we had our own ref for the day and we got to play by ourselves and that was nice. Today there must have been at least 75 people and the games I saw were around 7-10 on each side. Games were fast and refs turned them around quickly so there wasnt much time waiting. We stayed till the field closed at 6. There hours were 10-6 sat and sunday. I deffently recommend this place |

Well this field is a weekend field only, Sat and Sun. They are a little hard to find the first time going because your looking for a field and its behind there store front. Your able to bring your own paintballs but are limited to what kinds so they check to make sure its not the cheap kind. They sell paint in the shop if you want to purchase theres. They only carry Draxxus Blaze. It was a decent price of 50.00 a box of 2000. The addmission was 15.00 and that included all day air. They offer 2 types of rentals, spyders and Ions.
The owners are nice and there willing to help you in anyway they can. My gun broke while playing and I went into the shop and they handed me a their own personal gun which was a EGO I might add, as they repaired my gun so I didnt loose any play time while my gun was down. As soon as he fixed my gun he came out to the field to bring it to me which I felt was very personable which was a brownie point score!
The field is in decent shape and with as many players they had out there (around 50) it was quick turn around on the games, not a long wait for air, refs were decent, and they were on top of things including everyone having masks on and barrell bags. One thing I do want to point out unlike one other local field, the refs were on the field at all times and not outside the netting watching!
I played in there woods field to try it out and had a good time. They have three fields going at almost all times. Theres a Xball field and 2 other airball fields.
Theres a mixture of tourney players and rec players. So theres always someone to play against.
If you want to leave and go to lunch, keep your arm band on and your able to come back in to play. Which I found to be nice. Theres close by fast food places, and everything I needed to play was in there shop including drinks galore.
I would reccomend this field to everyone looking to have a good experience and to still have money in there wallet when they leave!! |

Gotta say Epik is a great place to play! Tony, the shop owner/mgr is always great to deal with and very helpful. I feel the facility is operated by an owner that is a true paintball enthusiast, that takes care of the players. Prices are decent. What cost me 89 bucks at OP, only cost me 67 at Epik. BIG DIFFERENCE. Plus the fields and players are of MUCH HIGHER caliber then OP and you get way more games. On Sundays you can expect good high level tourny players to show up for some hard playing games. The fields are in decent shape, self serv. air. I haven't had a chance to play the woods ball field yet, but look forward to playing soon. The refs, look a bit young, but handled their jobs fine. From what I noticed, if your goona be renting a gun, the equipment looks decent and maintenanced, compared to other fields in the area. Not sure what rental prices are but i bet there good. The paint offered was Blaze and Draxxus. I believe Draxxas is going to be the only choice after the Blaze is gone. I prefer a choice myself, but can live with using the Draxxas as long as it's always fresh and round. Ultimately, I look forward to playing there regulary and would recommend the field to others. |

Wayne's World
Great field. Kinda high price for everything, but as I heard, there are 16 acres of actual field. It's all or at least mostly woodsball. My favorite field overall, but since it's far away from me, I go only for Wayne's Big One.
Hypersports
I didn't like this one. The price, though not as high as Wayne's World, is high, considering it's like the rest of the field in the Mid FL area. |

Overall, my favorite field that's affordable and nearby.
Pros:
Price. $15 admission for a single, $10 each with a group of ten or more. Air is free, though they only go to 3000 psi for N2. Rental is something like $7 for a Spyder something, CO2, and a hopper. For the nice package it's $25, but has a Smart Parts Ion, electric hopper of some sort, and an N2 tank. BYOP is $5. Paint is $40 each case I think.
Refs. They don't get in your way.
Field. Woodsball was decent, and speedball was better. Nice grass on xball, brush on woodsball. But, there are ants.
Store. Great size, great prices for a store (online is cheaper). Nice attendant or whatever.
Cons:
Store-field distance. A bit of a walk.
Field paint is nice, but expensive.
Ants. They do, as another review says, pour gas on the ant piles. It's kinda funny watching them do it. But, it's only on one of the speedball fields. It's the farthest, and no one uses it.
Pods/belt. They don't come with rentals.
Always a line at the air station.
Rental masks. Not all of them are lousy. There's an assortment. Just not well cared for.
Other:
Socks only. No plugs.
Make sure your air is within hydrotest date.
Ages 10+. There was a little kid playing, but it was with his dad. His dad is a reg at the park, so they let him.| Last edited on Monday, January 28th, 2008 at 11:07 am PST |

Warning: this review is based on two visits to the field.
Location: The store is crammed between the likes of a liquer store and a mattress shop. In a good location off a busy road but can be missed.
Appearance: Inside the store looks and feels like a paintball joint. If you're looking for a massive selection of paintball products, buy off the internet. As you exit the store to go to the field, you'll notice that the store was just a facade. Round back there are old refrigerators, bunkers, a trailer, and a abandoned truck sitting there. Unfortunately, these are not props and they do nothing for the overall appearance of the field.
Customer Service: The owner seems like a nice guy and didn't have much interaction the first day. The second time I went, I was helped by a 6 or 7 yr old. Even though it was the cutest customer service experience, on any field, leave the ankle biter at home.
Prices: The price to play is awesome ($15 that's including air)and the lowest I've seen! A bit high for gear but "I guess they have to make their money somehow." The owner did brag about the price of his "white box" paint. It was cheap in more ways than one. Some of it had more dimples than a BBW's behind.
Fields: There were 3 fields when I got there. The first field (X-ball) seem to be up and running. A group showed later to play on the 3rd field. This was strange because the field was barely inflated.
Reffing: The refs aren't any different from any other field except they wear actual referee jerseys and they seem to care a little more about safety.
Conclusion: This field is not spectacular and it's not bad-by no means. I may have gone during the off season or even the wrong day. There were about 20ish people there on a Saturday. With that little action going on, I felt I paid somebody to hangout and play in their backyard. | Last edited on Tuesday, December 4th, 2007 at 3:42 pm PST |

Let me start by saying that the first day I played at EPIK was on December 31, 2006 a Sunday, Yes! the new years eve for my surprise they were opened.
Well, I decided to go to EPIK, let me say I am happy I made the decision to go and play there. When I got there a lot of people were there getting the paint and paying for the entrance, the owner were great, although they were swamp with people and trying to take care of everybody with the same special atention. There were a big family group, regular players and new people in line to get into EPIK. They still treated everybody the same.
I had a problem with my marker and I asked them if I could get some help with it. One of my oring were leaking. They called the owner from the field to help me out with it. He tried to find the right oring for my marker, with a little of trouble. I told him that he didn't have to fix it and I will rent their equiptment and for my surprise He respond it "Not to spend the extra money in equiptment rental, When he could help me out with the oring". WOW! the first field I started playing paintball would never have done that for me. They will take that oportunity to make some more money, but not with EPIK. He did help me out with it and I finally got to play.
Paint - They have all cain of paint, white box to premium, good prices!
Price - $15 for entrance and all day air. (other field want to charge $10 for air) make the math.
Bunkers - They have new and old bunker, they clean them after every day of play. The Reffs fill them out with air when they need to be inflated in between games.
Air - They have a compressor right there at the fields, after every game you can walk and get your tank field, up to 3000 PSI.
Reff - They are also paintball players, they are always getting in the field looking for hits, they don't mind getting in the game and checking.
Hours - I believe they are open on the weekends, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm, I coul't be wrong. So Call for times or check there webside. But, I can tell you this, they don't rush people out the field.
In conclusion I will like to say that I have been going to EPIK every weekend since I first play in December. They are always improving their fields. They just got new bunkers and have also got their field bigger in size. They are always looking for improvement and they care for players to have a good time, they always asking if you have fun. They do Care! |

The first great thing about this field is that it is a crap load of tun! The people are very friendly, the referes are very strict about keeping the mask on for safety purposes and keep the barrel covered so you wont shot people on accident, and the fields are even though there is a lot of broken and unbroken paintballs, it is very in a paintball pro style. The people in the store that sell are very nice. they are open 7 days a week Mon.-Fri. from like 10-7, and Sat-Sun. (when you play) 10-6. Sun. is when the pros come out to play, and Sat. is when its got the beginners and regular people come out to play. about the food there is a gas station across from the store that sells food. And something else about the field is when you rent a gun youll be able to get a free refill on the rented CO2 tank, not your own tank they wont let you. So really people the field to me is great the prices are 15$ for all field play all day and to rent a gun with the CO2 tank and paintballs with the mask and field day all play is around like 40$. So come and play if you want. It is a great field! |

This is the by far the worst field I have ever played at. This place is not well kept it is unsafe the field is dirty the ground is un lvl and the bunkers are dirty not inflated enough and leaning. The field players mostly kids very imature crowd and not some were you would wana play if you are a serious baller . Now on to customer service there are rude only want your money and are WAY over priced. the store is very small and over ran by little kids if this field does not learn customer serive they will not last long ! I do not recommend you play at this field. if you think this review is a lie go please lok for your self. |

Well Im reading these reviews and I find them rediculous. First off Ive been to this field every Sunday since I found them since they dont advertise that much so it was word of mouth from another field. I went there and the best part is you can byop. No JT or Brass eagle stuff which is fine with me cause that stuff hurts. its only 15 bucks to play for all day air and admission and thats cheap!! I think all the people inside and outside are friendly and very helpful. I havent found one instance that is different. The refs are ok but at least they were on the field with the players instead of standing on the outside of the net calling people out. They have a air fill station close to the fields so there is not far to walk. They fill up to 3k on compressed air. They have a decent selection inside the store of merchandise. they have compressed air tanks and good selection of guns on the wall. They have plenty of packs, accessories and paint galore. I think the whole back wall was filled. Ive played plenty places and this would not get a bad review from me. I like it there and I think its nice. Its not a place that is a Million Dollar field but its fine with me. and the best part was they actually cared if I had a good time and I was actually asked if I enjoyed myself which was a FIRST! and the owner and wife were nice people. I think some of there reviews are pathetic and untrue. Thank you Epik. Proto Rail I got from you is Great too. Thanks for the tips. Mikey B. |

Let me start with the positive side. Epik has very friendly employees and staff. They were very nice and professional. The store had a small selection of gear and low end markers (Spyders, Ions etc), nothing high end like Ego or such. Honestly we only played on one field so I can't speak about the other few fields but, they had nice newer air ball style bunkers with a little pvc pipe here and there. The layout was nice and the size of the field was good for 5 or 5 tournament style play.
Now the down side, apparently the field we were playing on had lots of ants, roughly 6-7 mounds. The disturbing thing, and the reason I decided to review this field, was that the staff used gasoline to kill the ants. Literal ten minutes before we started playing a man walked around pouring gas on them. Needless to say the whole field smelled of gas and everyone was spooked to slide into bunkers for fear of gas/mud/dying ant mounds. I don't work for the government but this can't be legal or safe. I mean one bad slide and a smoking friend later you could have problems. Also, next to the field was a stack of garbage. I know I am going to hear complaints that this is the best field etc etc, but I am only speaking from my personal experience with this field.
I think if Epik set goals to make there field maintenance a little more professional this would greatly improve the image that they have. Honestly, I don't think I would return to this field anytime soon and definitely would not recommend that young children play on this field because of the safety concerns. |
