Splat Zone - Only played twice. Once in the dark, and the other was 2 years ago.
Flags and Wheels - Paint is expensive. Ref's don't pay attention. The ground is very slippery which is a large hazard.
Review:
Ballisticks - Great field, good management. This is my home field. I have played elsewhere but no where as exciting as this. The owner and operator is a quailified and well versed airsmith, as well as a fair and competative business man. He is kind and willing to negotiate. The field changes from week to week, and is never set up the same way twice. It's a good thing, no one has "homefield advantage" so to say. All safety precautions are followed closely and all around people are good natured. The owner is also creating a league known as the SDPL - South Dakota Paintball League - which will play host to a 3 man tournament. Visit the above link for information. This is a great field and is highly recommended
Ballisticks Paintball is an excellent field and run very well. The owner was very easy to get along with and gave me tips on gameplay and gun maintenance. The course was made of blow-up obstacles in the middle of a bean field on the outskirts of Rapid City. The price to rent a gun and other equipment was a little spendy, around $25, but 500 paintballs sold for a cheap $10. The major positive had to be the price of paintballs, the management, and open visual area. The negatives consisted of the dust and blow up obstacles of the field, which can be fixed. The owner mentioned something about moving around the obstacles, but we only played for 4 hours. But other than that i found this field to be a good time.
