Pros- the fields are on grass (except for the rec field witch is on sand)
well placed bunkers most of the time
the bunkers are clean
most of the ref's make good calls
15$ all day including air
food is good
allot of tables for people
i don't know if you would call it a pro shop but its ok
paint is a pretty good price
they are really strict on safety witch is good

Cons-if you go on a day were it rained the day before the walk way to get to the field's smell like S*** but its all good.

All in All it is a really good place to play paintball and i highly recommend it

Review: Play Boy's is a really great place to play there's a couple of refs that arn't nice but they get the job done. The rec field is great but if they in proved on it that would be the best field that i have ever played on and would pay money there every day. there isn't many rocks on the field so you can run and slide.

Review: Well i Havent been to this feild in over a year, but i feel like writing a review since this is the first feild i ever played on, and it truly turned me on to paintball. I rented a 98 custom, and played red ball all day on their pretty nice feild. It has some plywood houses, barrels, and even a few cars on it. We played mostly 6v6 or 8v8 when we went. The refs were pretty fair, and like i said, because of this feild i was turned on to paintball, so i obviously liked it a lot.

Review: This field is ok. they have a rec ball field and a speedball field. its kind of stupid they make you turn down the velocity for rec to 250. the speed ball is fun. the refs would jump in and even the teams and they did a deace job of paint checks and other stuff like that. the price is right though all day air and admission for 15 and its byop too. the day i went it was a bunch of rentals and some noobs wit ions so we would have 10 on 5 almost the entire day. still this field is pretty good.

Review: PRICES - 15$ entry and air (4500+psi) ,5$ on tuesday , ~45$ case you can't beat those prices
AIR - theres two selfserve stations that are always slightly over 4500psi ( you never have to wait to fill your tank if you do its not gonna be more than 15 sec)
PAINT - sterling its at a lower price than rec sport at most fields but performs very well , very round consistently sized/shaped ball that almost always breaks on contact even across the field
FIELDS - theres usually 3 fields up , two air and a rec , the fields are mostly grass except rec ( no field is all grass, most grass fields are half dirt) their air fields have very few dirt spots because the bunkers are constantly moved around , the bunkers are clean at the beginning of the day
STAFF - the refs are actually on the fields doing paintchecks unlike most places where they chill behind the nets, everyones pretty friendly especially the owner, the refs would also fill up bunkers that would deflate which is a big help
PLAYERS - most of the players are speedball guys and are pretty cool, the more experienced players fill in the newer players on what to do and how to do it, so everything works out nicely and everyone has fun

its a great great field I live an hour and a half away and its totally worth the100 miles it takes me to get there and back
the only bad things about it is that its too far away and it isn't free but seriously i really wish they were open longer

its the best pb place ive been to and i highly recommend to try it out

West End Paintball (Leicester)

Matt's Outback (Only a spectator)

By far, I enjoyed Playboyz paintball the most.
Directions
to the Field:
Basically, I took i395 north, took exit 2 and continued along rt-16. West st is located on rt-16 and was amazingly easy to find. I have played at some fields that are only accessible by taking long, scenic routes. Playboyz paintball is the closest and EASIEST TO FIND paintball field if you live anywhere near i395 or rt-16. It took me 22 minutes to find Playboyz paintball, and I live in Connecticut.
Review: I will start this review by stating that Playboyz paintball is the best paintball field I have ever played at. I played at The Hab (Playboyz) on June 18, 2006. The temperature hit 102 at one point. The weather was brutal. My friend and I arrived at 8:30 to unpack. The employees were busy setting up and cleaning the already pristine grounds. The place was immaculate; I have never seen a staging area with less than a hundred piles of smashed paintballs- The Hab had no trash or broken paint anywhere! The staging area was a collection of wire drums and picnic tables. Pop-up tents were owned by a few people. I advise you bring one on a hot day. The fill station was accessible to anyone in the staging area- a mere 10 second walk. The Hab is also home to many other sports, and the main facility had a concession stand with a great selection. After 30 minutes of waiting, no games started. I became a bit anxious because we showed up early. However, once the refs stated the rules, the games ran all day long. There was absolutely no waiting time between games other than the few required minutes to switch sides and the 10-second burn-down.

Here is a basic breakdown of the best the Hab had to offer:

Cleanliness:
I may have seen a collective total of two or three smashed paintballs on the paths all day. The fields were actually grass; not rolled turf or plastic mesh. The bunkers were pristine; no blotches of missed paint. One could lean against a bunker without worrying about being covered in "ambient" paint. The grass made sliding easy since the built-in sprinklers covered the ground with enough water to give traction, yet sliding was still safe. After the games ended, the refs quickly cleaned up the fields and the few pieces of trash that were strewn about were disposed of properly. Very clean and enjoyable atmosphere. 10 out of 10 on cleanliness

Prices:
At $15 per day, with air included, the Hab is the most affordable paintball facility I have ever heard of. The paint prices were low as well, at only 45$ per case of Premiums. Stingers cost even less. I bought a case of Premiums and the paint was perfect- no breaks. The management keeps the paint in an air-conditioned building so the scorching heat wouldn't effect it. I left the Hab with money still in my wallet (a first).
The concession stand had decent prices as well. I got two large pizza slices and an ice cream sandwich for 5$. I attended another field months back where the same amount of food would have cost 12$. Sure, a pizza costs 10$, but 2$ a slice really isnt bad- they need to make some profit after all.

The Fields:
The X-ball field was the first I played on. I didn't really like the 100x100 aspect of it, but X-ball is X-ball and a challenge is a challenge. The bunkers were very clean and the grass was thick. The refs performed their duties well. We were allowed to play 5 or 6 games continuously before we had to take a break. The games are REALLY fast paced, so one hopper full will last you about 2 or 3 games depending on how you play. I got hit off the break 3 times since the field is small. I learned from my mistakes.
I started off rough, but as the day progressed, I learned a lot. One thing I loved was the sideline coaching. If a ref thought a player was feeling bad about losing, he may give the player a heads up on a player crawling in the snake. The management really wanted the players to have a good time.
The second field I played on was a standard-sized 5 vs 5 field. This field was incredible. The bunkers were placed well, and I NEVER got hit off the break. The snake was built well too, as there were three tombstones mixed in for cover. I didn't win all the time- in fact I only "survived" three games. However, I did my part, eliminated a good amount of players, and tried some suicide runs that must have been fun to watch.
The fields at the hab are THE BEST I have even been on. 10 out of 10

Since the weather was very oppressing, I had brought about two gallons of water in a cooler. I drank about 2 cups between every game. I am not "built", but I have a pretty good endurance. I tried going 4 games in a row around noon. I couldn't On my walk back to the staging area, I began to feel lightheaded and started shaking. I took a stop in the air-conditioned room to cool down. Joe, the owner, immediately saw my condition and grabbed a chair for me. It was clear that he and all of the employees really cared about the players. After ten minutes I felt better. They turned the sprinklers on, which really helped cooling us off.

After some really good games, I decided it was time to pack up. Now, I would really love to say what happened next, but I would not want people to take advantage of Joe's generosity. Needless to say, Joe did something that really made my day when a player did something to ruin it (intentionally or not). I appreciated his generosity so much that I helped in the clean up while my car was venting out the 100 degree air. The people at the Hab truly care about the players and do their best the ensure safety and enjoyment.

I did not see a single person actually cheat all day- Sure, there was the "I didn't feel it hit me" routine, but I dont consider that cheating. If a ref called a player out, the player lifted his marker and walked off.

The players weren' t ,"out to get you." The experienced players gave advice and really made the day fun. I would pay 15$ ANY DAY to play at the Hab.

In my opinion, the Habitat was the best paintball field I have ever played on. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff is great. I will make sure to go back when the weather is willing, and when I have a Sunday off from work.

If any of the staff of the Hab reads this, thanks again for a great day!

Review: Playboyz is awesome. Open every weekend from 9-4 with excellent games goin on all day. There is very little wait time between games usually...on a busy day you may have to wait a few minutes. They have crazy cheap paint...stingers are usually $40 and $15 gets you a full day of play with free all day air. The manager, Joe Mammay, is the coolest guy on the planet in my opinion. The refs are on top of and in control of the games and they make sure the day goes by smoothly without too many hold-ups. All the players there will try to help you out the best they can and there is always a good team you can play to get in that extra practice. Possibly my favorite part is the excellent food...and you cant beat the prices. PP is just an overall great field.

Providence Paintball - Play there in the winter because it's close. But doesnt compare to Playboyz.
Fox 4 - I've been there once, they only had one speedball field up so there were long waits to get on the field. I kind of got that feeling that the staff could care less if I was having fun or not.
Review: Playboyz was my first organized paintball field. I went there all nervous and scared about how much different it would be than playing rec-ball in the woods. The workers there helped me out and showed me everything I needed to know about organized paintball. They were constantly checking peoples velocity on the field to ensure the safety of the customers. They always have 1-2 reffs per field to make sure that everything is running smoothly. By knowing this, I felt completely safe and comfortable to play on their fields. One thing that I loved was that the reffs organized some "beginner" speedball games so that people like me could get a taste of it.

The thing that brought me here in the first place is their cheap prices. They have stingers for $42 a case! There is no need to byop. All together For a great day of paintball I spent about $55 for paint, entry, and air. Why would you even think about going somewhere else?

I have been there 6 or 7 times now and can't get enough of it. Every time I go to Playboyz, I feel like I improve greatly. There are people of all types of ages and skill levels there to challenge you.

The atmosphere is great, service is great, and there new Empire 7 man field is awesome! I would definitely recommend anyone to come to this field!

Review: The first time I went to Playboyz, which was about a year ago, I was amazed at the grassy fields. Most places have sand or dirt with patchs of dead grass which is not fun to play on. After talking to the manager Joe, who is a great guy, I found out how much effort he puts in to make sure the fields stay completely covered in grass. The staff is amazing. As I said the manager is an awesome guy. The refs are very friendly. There is usually 2 refs per field which is plenty, people say there should be more refs because players cheat. My opinion, I don't mind playing against cheaters in practice it just forces me to shoot them several times or just go up and bunker their cheating butt. Getting back to the refs they do their job very well which is to keep the field safe and call people out that they see them get hit. The new NPPL Empire field from HB is awesome. The field is regulation size with offical NPPL bunkers. Any 7 man team should definitely try this field out to get ready for NEPL or NPPL. The best part about this field that I know for a fact every speedball player will like is it's CHEAP to play at Playboyz. $15 entry andall day air as well as $40 a case which is a great price, those prices can't be beat. I think Playboyz is the best field in New England. It's the only place I have practice at for the past year.

Review: This field is awesome! Its $15 for entry and all day air. The new 7-man field came directly from NPPL Hunington Beach and is amazing. The rec-field is pretty nice but doesnt have a lot of lanes. The Staff is very friendly and is always willing to give tips on situations during a game. This field will be much better in 2007 when all the new fields have been put in and are functional.
