Ok. Im on the home team of hematoma( Hematoma Vipers ). 1st of all about the earliest comments ther are always refs on fridays and weekends. not realy on weekdays bcuz of jobs, school, etc. but hematoma has increased its rental selection, increased its pro shop, and switched to nitro. the refs are not always wearing their jerseys but if u ask we will get one to ref your game. Hematoma does host tournaments ( that was 4 a comment about no tournys ). We are getting an x-ball feild. the prices r not as bad as som people hav ben sayin. Its the same as swingzone (c above^) pricewise. If u want 2 c bad prices go to paintball usa in myrtle beach SC. un-be-liveable! $60 4 a rental package. but anyway if ur in nc and want 2 play this is the place 2 come! |

This is the place to play. Great people! Great fields! Great prices. The owner, Mrs Patsy, has turned this field around after taking back over its operations. If you played here years ago while it was run by another group, give this place another chance. There is always a good turnout. The regulars there are always willing to help out new and seasoned players. If you have a mental lapse, other players and refs will gladly remind you of the safety rules. The staff is always there with answers and assistance. The shop has all the essentials at good prices. There are several fields to choose from. If you are like me and show up alone, you can jump in with any group. Overall, the staff and regulars make this place a great way to spend the day. Hope to see you there! |

Great place to play, they have several well maintained fields to play on. they have a woods course, airball course, a big tower course, and 2 other fields, one with ply wood bunkers and one with 50 gal barrels. Plenty of area to park, and a very large area to stage at. The field has a very friendly staff to provide prompt service in the new pro shop along with quick co2 and nitro fills. ref's were awesome and provided a safe playin environement for all ages of play. very nice proshop and facilities. overall hematoma is very accomodating for all ages and types of people, very safe, and its the only field in nc that cooks free lunches for everyonel. |

I've got to be honest, we had a blast. About 12 Fire/EMS personnel went and it was great. The people there, the refs and the management were all nice. One of our guys guns was down and some guy there let him use his angel which was pretty nice. Free lunch was a good perk i wasn't expecting. Didn't have to pay a field fee, just bought a case of their red legion paint (which wasn't the greatest but it was cheap) and paid the all day air fee. $50 bucks for a great day with good hot dogs. The Tower field was awesome, and there are 3 different style speed ball fields (one inflatable, one with barrels, and one with some weird shaped wood structures). I didn't care for woodsball but some of the guys with us said they liked the woodsball field.
Kinda far drive, but worth it in the end!
Gave it a 9/10 only because of distance... |

O.K. I dont know what all this is about refs not being there b/c first of all if you have played any number of years and you are experienced you really shouldnt need a ref. unless you know you are playing whith cheaters. If you do not have this much experience hematoma and their staff always goes over the safety rules with the group that is playing and ALWAYS assigns some refs with those groups.
Now onto the other stuff hematoma has been in operation for about 8 years so they have alot of knowledge under their belt, the pro-shop is small but has all you would ever want or need and if they dont have ot they can have ot for you by the next weekend.
This is the best update yet they used to have nitrogen tanks that would fill your tanks at 4500 psi for about 3 hours of hard play and then slowly decrease to 3000 psi and so forth, but now they have bought an air compressor to consitanly run 4500 psi all day, that is freakin awesome. Hematoma just built a helicopter to go on the feild and are going to build tanks and other things as well in the near future.
The rentals are tippman 98's and BT-16 once again they used to run off of Co2 but again hematoma has upgraded and is going to run Nitrogen on all of their rental guns how many feilds do you know that do that.
Every weekend the staff cooks hotdogs and hamburgers, and are always free, snacks are always fresh and full and they are only 50 cent as well as soda's and water, mrs. patsy the owner of the field is the nicest lady out there and will go out of her way to help the customer long b4 she helps herself.
Overall Hematoma is improving bit by bit like everything nothing is free is takes money to do things, if you are out or decide to just try them out, and dont like something about the feild or would have a good sugestion please tell some of the staff they are always wearing the yellow field shirts, and they will be more than happy to listen to you request.
Hematoma is one of the best quality, best priced, and well maintained feilds in Eastern NC, if you have already been to the feild and didnt like some things come back out and see the changes, Its a great place for beginners and professionals alike. |

Alright peeps. Lets set some stuff straight. The biggest reason why there are no refs most of the time is because most of the people that come out are regulars. Some students at ECU are trying to start a paintball club at the school and this is where we are going to practice on sunday mornings. Because of this the owners of Hematoma asked the players to begin reffing for them. so there should be refs there on the weekends to help with whatever needs to be done. All of these ballers have been playing for years including myself so there will be no unfair or unintelligent calls. |

Small and amazing.
Fields are well done, the fields need to be changed up so that you wont tear up spots in the grass.
It's a small field, you dont need a huge pro shop. it's stacked good for the amount of players who attend regularly. It is air conditioned as well as stocked just fine. Not under done and not overdone. Good Job!
Bathrooms are clean (portajon)
Nettings just fine
Paint shoots fine, usually STINGER.
Good teams show up, just starting teams, rec players, and woods ballers every weekend. Good turn out every time!
It cost about 40-50$ tops for a case of paint, and the normal stuff...this last me all day and some.
Overall, go here becasue it's not in the middle of no where unlike another field with absolutly no signs anywhere. Finding this place was quite easy thank god and not behind someones house with dogs and bad enviroment. Were not kids, we expect the money we pay to show for something and Hematoma does just that!

After playing at some of the best fields in NC Hematoma seems kind of small, but it is a nice place to go. Friendly staff, (no reffs to be seen), pretty cheap($40 a case), and O.K. facilities. I will go back, however there are a few things I would change. Those being putting some sand in the muddier areas to soak it up, and some reffs. The ref thing is not really an issue, however it may become one if they get an unexpected group. I liked the place, even though I was sick when I played there. |

-well stocked with hundreds of thousands of paintballs and a good dozen hoppers, probably at most 8 different guns but has a lot of them, the rental guns are tippman98's which are really reliable, have CO2 filling and N2 filling at ease, they also sell both types of tanks and have numerous other items (pods, masks, great selection of barrels, spare o-rings, and the infamous grenades, ect....) GREAT service, you can tell they want you to come back, its a good family enviroment
overall
- they hold tournaments about 4 times a year which range from church team tourneys t ameteaur ones, have a port-o-potty, a nice snack selection, a shelter with picnic tables, and a drink machine, and great night games about once a season
