Review: Sadly Desert storm also known as End of Jones is closed now. It was a good field. Kinda ruff to play on at times but it usually had some good players out there to mix it up with. Hopefully the owners will start up again somewhere else.
Pahrump Paintball is still open. People can go there to play.

Very North End of Jones (no lie, the street ends before you end up at the field. Just walk the small distance and look to your right, where you'll see an old camper.)
Review: I play maybe 3x a month on Saturdays or Sundays, where my team's plan is to play twice at our own field, and once at a local field. For a short amount of time, maybe 3-5 times, we used our local field as Desert Storm. I speak for me and my team when I give my opinions on this field.

Safety: The strictly enforce the safety of having a barrel plug inserted into your marker. If caught without one they often yell at you from the distance from where they are. Their speedball field could use a bit of netting around it. Their canyon field is unique, but often kind of trashy looking. The refs are young and do their job, but are "jerks" for the most part especially to noob players. They often choose to comment some major feedback on your playing, whether it's good or bad (mostly bad), and think they're the best players around.

Fields: Their speedball field is quite small and narrow, and can use more air bunkers and netting to surround the field. Their canyon field is their main attraction, where most regulars and noob players tend to spend most of their time at. Do not plan on using their speedball field, for it's mainly used by the staff and are rarely used by other players.

Hours of Operation: Days operated are on Friday nights and Saturdays. Unfortunately, I do not know the hours for Friday nights, because I rarely use their vicinity anymore. Saturdays are from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Prices: Prices aren't bad. It takes $25 for field entry, all day air, and equipment rental. Their paint is a little pricy, better to byop. I only bought at a rate of 1000 paint, which cost $25.

Rules: Barrel plug in off the field and fair games.

Staff: The old guy running the whole thing who basically lives in the camper is nice, the rest of them are pretty much ass holes if you don't know how to play like them.

Players: I'm pretty sure their field team is Vegas Unleashed. They're cocky players, but are extremely good. When I went, Vegas Heat played there, though it was their first time and I think their last. Vegas Heat and Reapers mostly play at SCP (all american sports park.)

Facilities: Worn out camper surrounded by 3 tables: Goggles table, guns table, and chronograph table. I know nothing of their bathrooms, either ask to use one in the camper (if there is one) or assume that the desert around you is your toilet. So pick a spot and squat. (Just in case, bring some toilet paper if they don't have a bathroom.)

Food: They sell gatorades and water last time I checked, but it's best to pack yourself a lunch, or eat before you play.

end of Bradley (they blocked of Jones for some reason) you'll come to a worn down dirt road and you should see a camper to your left.
Review: When i arrived (8:30ish) they were just setting up so get their around 10 because thats when things start up. I rented (all Tippmans for rental guns) you get a gun, Co2, goggles, and 100 balls. The hours are monday throught saturday times vary form seasons so call. when i went the BLM was out there because of complants.Their is a private wall and communications tower that were shot-up bad. Don't go on sunday because if the vandilizing doesn't stop the'll shut the feild down. The feilds are awsome(one speed ball and one scenario). the refs were kids but were fun and reffed well. the hole operation is basically ran out of a camper. you can buy paint, candy, food, est. all around a good field.

Review: Now the fields are alright, its more so how the field is ran.

there is no safety netting around the fields, the only safety issue they state is if you have air on you're gun put a barrel plug device in(they except a squeegee in a barrel as this, not that effective)

I'm not much of a speed ball player so as far as the refs this is strictly on the canyon.

The refs are young and often immature, while yelling at you to follow rules they are breaking them, such as not firing a marker on the top of the canyon while shooting off his pistol yes it had no paint in it but its still the principle of it, also the did not know how to divide teams, they would allow there regulars to run the field how the felt, often doing a 12 on 40 game with the regulars being on the 12 side now this may seem unfair for the smaller number, but, it is very narrow in the canyon, and you can't really have everyone hide behind one bunker, or even spread out someone is often left sticking out, and every time the 40 side would lose, you would watch a handful of new players using rental equipment walking off the field in a train within the first 30 seconds. or they would open up the back canyon which is great because then you can actually spread out, but they watched and allowed 2 members of the more experienced team go deep into the back canyon before the game even started with a ref watching them the entire time, by the time they said go, the opposing side was over the hill at the starting point for the other team.
This was only fixed by the owner(I can't honestly remember the guys name) actually going to the field and dividing up the teams.

Prices were Expensive
20 to use the fields, with or without you're own equipment
17.50 if you have equipment and buy paint from them
5.00 for all day air
45 dollars for paint, which was Seconds it looked like, shot like crap, I received similar white box stuff at Pahrump and paid 20 a case.

the air fills aren't great either, if you need C02 be prepaired to wait about 15 minutes to get it filled, and then, you might want to get 2 filled and bring the extra on the field, because they don't fill them all the way, a few people in our group on our first game after a fresh fill, ran out of air and didn't even use a half hopper of paint. as for Air, the highest fill I ever received was a 2200 fill on a 3000 tank

This was a poorly ran field and actually made for a lame day of paintball, the only reason I even came to the field is because Pahrump was closed for family emergency, this field doesn't even stand close to it.

Directions
to the Field:
go down jones about4 miles past the 215, then you will hit a dead end, turn right and you will see a trailer and more than likely a bunch of people and cars, you're at the field
Review: rentals- their rentals incude tippmans and pihranahs, the tippmans are bettter, 1000 paintballs, gravity feed hopper, 12 oz. c02 can, and masks(bring some type of antifog for these my friend that rented couldn't see any thing, if you rent you have to use their paint.
prices- 20 - rental is included in this and yes you still have to pay 20 dollars even if youre not renting, 45 dollars for a case of paint ore you gan buy them buy 100 balls or 500 balls all day air is included with a case of paint, all day air is 5 dollars
staff- the people there are really cool they will help you out all the time, if there is a problem with your gun they'll help you overall they're great
players- unlike events center even the skilled people here are nice everyone here is really cool
food- you can buy snacks and beverages
hours-their hours between october to june are 9 a.m. to 3p.m. on saturdays and the rest of the year they play at night on fridays i think ( im nto sure I only know about october to june) if you go on sundays you need to bring all your own stuff even air but there is no entry fee
safety- no one tells anyone to chrono but mostly everyone does it anyways the people there always remind you tu put on your barrel condoms and plugs
fields- the canyon is soooo cool, yes it is a canyon. there is a back canyon too and many sniping points and a lot of cover.
the speedball field is cool but all the bunkers are like wire spools that are like 4 and half feet tall so you wil have to like crawl the whole time but then again it is better than events center
facilties- what facilities
refs-pretty cool people

Review: I just started playing again and i'm new to the Las Vegas area, however I believe Destert Storm is a great field. I only go every other Sunday right before noon.

There is no charge on sundays for using the field, however you better bring all of your own equipment (balls, air, gun) because there will be no trailor to offer equipment and refills on Sundays.

Most of the time there are enough people there to play, at least 18 to 25 players on sundays that is, and thats not including the hardcore speedball teams that show up to practice on the speedball course which is off to the side of the canyon field. thats right you get to play within an actual canyon. It has plenty of bunkers, and pretty cool sniper spots. Desert camo would be ideal for the canyon.

Last time I played there was an awsome turnout of about 32 people by 11am.

Review: i work at the Desert Storm paintball feild (no relation to the owner) we are located at the very end North Jones you will come to a dead end and turn right and you will see the camper and the feild we start sign up at about 8am on Saturday and we play till 4pm during the summer we also have night games on fridays the cost of play is 20$ per player with that you get any equipment you need and all day CO2 or nitro the guns we offer for rentals are tippmans paranas and R6s if you rent a gun you must use feild paint cases run about 45 a case depending on the paint we are selling that week a case is 1000 rounds you can also buy paint in smaller quantites such as 100 and 500 we have a senario feild (for newer players) that feild has many hiding places also some games have a back canyon also plenty of sniper areas for the more expereinced players we have a speed/hyper ball feild with regular and sup air bunkers you can request games for just your players but there are about 50 other customers who also want to play so not every game can be just your party sorry but it is more fun with more people if your team does not enjoy pain i suggest they wear loose fitting pants and long sleeves i do not recomend and type of chest gear you will be targeted for being a "pansy" we sell food like just candy chips and drinks like soda gatorade and water dont let the mess fool you all that junk isnt our fault plus if we ever need more bunkers...we gottem lol

Review: well let me tell you about the greatest place to play paintball... oh wait i can't this place is horrible i can't believe i even went to this place more than once, i am an idiot!!! it costs 20 bucks to play on BLM land with old couches and tables for bunkers. they rob you on paint 60.00 bucks for 35.oo dollar paint and never fill your gun more than 2500 psi so every game you walk 10 minutes to get you gun filled. i am not done the games are never orgonized and the workers are lazy so even if you make the 10 minute walk you wait 20 minutes to fill. The one good thing about the field is it is the only field besides the dumb Sports Park. Hope this review helped you and good luck on fining somewhere to play in Vegas...

Tektonx, I liked this indoor place. Too bad it closed.
Review: So...I don't even know where to begin.
Maybe I'm a little spoiled or something, but I can't even really say this is a paintball field.
FIELD: While I was driving there, I noticed that there were quite a few new looking houses/construction in the area. As I got to the end of the field, there was...nothing. What I'm saying is, there is an area where is looks like they threw all of the extra building materials, and so someone decided "Hey let's play paintball here!" So they did. This field was seriously ghetto. I'm sure the people who play here will have a lot of crap to say about this review, but c'mon, I coulda stopped somewhere on the highway and made a better field than this.
PRICES: The prices for admission are actually decent...if you were playing at a real field. I payed $20 to play at SCP before so paying the same amount here seemed ridiculous.
PROSHOP: The proshop is basically a motorhome. I have nothing negative to say about it, just pointing out the facts.
FACILITIES: What facilities?

Like I wrote earlier, maybe I'm just used to something a little (okay a lot) better when I go ball. Maybe the people who love this field have never played anywhere decent. I would not ever play here nor would I recommend it to anyone else. But hey, that's just my opinion.
