Review: It was great, the floor was slick, easy to slide. the paint sucked crap. The staff wasn't terrible they gave me broken air tank because my Spyder Pilot had c02 (air only there) but i got a new one so it was all cool. It was overall really fun and you should go there RIGHT NOW!!!

Review: This field has changed from the first time I came here. It is now under new management and new refs. From other fields I have played at here they enforce the "Mask On rule" and "barrel sleeve" rule quite well. Very nice refs if you actaully talk to them. I will give the pro's and con's of this field. yes I do play here but I am not going to be hesitant to put out some things here and there. So off with the review.

Pro's
-Nice turf which is good for sliding.(But is quite slippery so be careful)
-Real bathrooms which is awesome when you have the urge to... you know what I mean.
-No cheap food sales truck-1 block away is a In-&-Out Burger or L&L.
-No more leaving you guns outside for people to take or mess with. You are on camera which is good but a little freaky at both.
-Great for rainy days...haha sucks to be you rain! : )
-Great players from beginners to Advance.
-very close to Milbrae Bart so is helpful to many who live to far away who cant drive.(like me)
-tables and chairs to put your gear on as well as LARGE windows to see the action.
Overall with pro's this is a good field.

Now onto the con's!!

Con's
-The air filler is broken so you cant fill your hpa tank to 4500.(srry guys only to 3000psi for you.)
-Bunkers need to be retired(please get brand new ones, they deflate way to easy)
-Refs are young at least 16-18 years of age. The better refs have more experience and make better calls.
-No proshop and if your gun is down be hoping that BUMP PAINTBALL is open that day.
-paint is every where even where non paintball action is going on.
-paint prices are way to pricy. $60 for a case of Karnage Tear or Bite. Plz guys lower the prices you will get more people coming back.
- Dont get on some of the refs nerves cause they wont lke you the rest fo the day.

But overall this field has gotten better over the years!!
Big!! this which I like about this field is that the manager actually is nice and talks to everyone and tries to get a good atmosphere going as well as some of the refs do.

I am giving this field a 9-10 because the paint is to pricy and bunkers so a$$.

If your ever at Bay Area Paintball ask around for me. my nickname is Mouse and I like to hang out with anyone.

Review: Safety -
Pros-Very Detailed Orientation Maybe one of the best I've heard in awhile. The Manager actually does give safety and Equipment orientations - I think this is rare and Awesome. Chrono Checks for self equipped or are mandatory. Honesty is advised.
Cons-( some lil punks chrono but later on up the velocity when no one is looking )

Schedules-
Pros-Cool Sched Wed - Fri 3 pm to 10 pm ( got a cool college discount weekday program too) Sat - 10am -10pm Sun 10am to 8pm
They have team fridays they play and skrim more experienced teams check it out.

Prices -
Cons- Bit pricey yet not unreasonable, but you get what you pay for.
Pros- It's indoor and in a great area near bart and the 101.

Rules- are standard do the safety and equipment orientation, 3 games back to back break for 10-15 minute depending on volume of people it may take longer if really packed. things actually are getting better with the new Manager Jade doing rounds checking on every player... if they are happy and getting games. If you need a game Talk to Jade he's the coolest. This place is doing better than a few months ago past management and refs were bad.

Staff - Manager is cool and offering tips and mini clinics for people who asks or he thinks needs a boost in the game. Awesome !

Refs - These are young adults trying their best , They do a pretty good job reffing they are not snobs or A-Holees. You just have to talk to them and you will see.

Players - mostly Newbs to Novice again the manager take special care of this crowd
Facilities - Nice turf awesome for sliding in to your bunkers creates that feel of moiste thick grass in tourneys. Clean Toilets, Vending Machines, Tables and Chairs and Alot of viewing areas to see the action.

Experience -
Had a blast with a bunch of very cool players ranging from noob to intermediate, I noticed the place later in the day get a little messy but it's paintball what do you expect.
Turf was the best so far. nice and flat no rocks lurkingto kill your knees, unlike some fields the turf is like sandpaper tears up your gear and ligaments.
Field bunkers are deflating and noticeably out lived it's usefulness staff inflates it everyso often looks like a tough routine (hey owner bunker earned it keep retire them and buy new ones =) )

I almost lost faith that this field would get better but with Jade managing the place give this field a second look.

Over all this field get's 9out of 10because it's lil pricey and bunkers are constantly being inflated causing bit of delays in games but due to the efforts they are doing I'll give them a 10 Keep it up guys !!!!

I simply take the Bart to Millabrae. Its about 2 blocks south of the station. Big blue building on the Left, can't miss it.
Review: I've been to this field twice now. Easy to find. Right off the Main Road through town, big blue building with "Bay Area Paintball" Written across the front in white. Slightly dissapointed the first time. Bunkers were poorly inflated and paint was EVERYWHERE! Even in the stageing area. The TV used for Orientation even had Paint all over it. How does that happen? Not that it mattered since they skipped orientation anyhow. Refs were friendly. Operations Manager came out and chatted with everyone. It was on a Sunday so, not to busy. Really my only complaint here was High cost of Paint, Registration, air (paint is almost twice what it costs elsewhere), long wait between games, half inflated bunkers dripping with paint. Bunker set-up is poor. One side of the field had very few bunkers while the other side was thick with them. The bunkers were half deflated. Due to Insurance Policy, You MUST use field Paint, which is Karnage Tear. Stuff rarely seems to break, especially with all the walk on Rec players with layers of sweats on. Some of the Refs are Top Notch, Some are complete crap. Second time there: When I was there on the 22, a Saturday, we had maybe 20-30 players a side, and ONE REF! He wasn't wearing anything whatsoever indicating him as a ref either. The only way to tell was he had no gun and stood behind the Break out net, on one side of the field the whole time. Kids were blatently wipeing/ "staying in" even after getting mugged and the Ref just shrugged his shoulders! "I didn't see it." Of course not! Your behind the starting net makeing a sandwich! Not to mention theres close to 60 players on the field and only one ref! Downtime between games drags on forever. I don't know what there doing. Seems like there just standing around in the office bumpin' there gums, goofing off. At one point, there was a 32 minute wait (I counted) between 4 minute games. Safety the second time out there seemed to be of no concern as well. Some Kids were obviously shooting 290+ on a field rated at 260 Max. We chronied in before playing but it was of our own accord. We could have EASILY just walked onto the field, no one the wiser. In all honesty, if we had Tear Paint (as we did from the last outing) and Air for our guns, we could have walked on and played all day. No field fee, Paint fee, Air fee, nothing. No one would have known. As it was we only stayed for 4 games before My friend Lawrence decided enough was enough and we left.

So in conclusion, the first time out was alright, Long waits and poor conditions, but liveable. The second time was complete crap, I'm STILL trying to talk my buddy into going back with me since its the only Indoor around. Just don't go when there busy I suppose, it all goes to hell fast.

Review: Ok so I checked this place out for the first time today and I must say I am impressed. Overall I think this is a wonderful place to play. So I'll this review down into sections.

FIELD:
Well it's indoor so it wont be HUGE, but it was a decent sise for being an indoor field. I've seen larger, but I have also seen smaller ones. Most of the day we played 1/2 the field, 4 on 4 games and this was PERFECT. The only downside is that no one bothered to really inflate the second field so when they did open up that side for play as well it really brought down the rating I would have given this place. Could of been an oversite on the staff's part, but it should have been looked at and taken care of.

FLOORING:

Turf...and I loved it. I have played indoor with dirt floors and with bare concrete and I must say that I love the way B.A. Paintball took care of their flooring. It's a little slick for runniing, but great for sliding.

GAMES:

Quick, but a helluva lotta fun!!! You play 3 games on the field and then take a quick break. Time between games was a little long, but they had a birthday party there and those games typically tak a while. Even though that was happening I still played 9 games in 3 hours I was there. I'm happy with it.

PAINT:

Well......this would be the weakest spot of the whole business. It shot straight and didn't break in the gun, but it didn't break on the target either. I've seen worse field paint, but maybe the owners could look into it a little more. If they're going to charge an "indoor field price" for paint, I would like to see better breakability. I would also like to mention that I play pump competetively so not having paint break on a good hit is very annoying.

STAFF:

Overall they were a good bunch of guys. As is the norm, the refs were younger, but in their late teens (I guess 18 - 20) so they were on the spot about safety and managed the games well. I have seen where people have complained about them not doing much, but it's rec ball not the NPPL. They were more than adequate for the field. The manager was also a great guy and he came out from behind the registration counter to speak with the customers and make sure everyone was having a good day. I have RARELY seen this at other fields and was impressed.

PRICING:

What can I say? It's an indoor field so it was a little steep, but anyone who has been in this sport for a while should know going in that indoor = higher prices. For an indoor field they are priced in the average range. Entry, paint, an N2 rental ran me about $55 which isn't too bad. I'd have to say that it's fair.

ATMOSPHERE:

Arguably the places strongest suit. I loved it here. It was clean, well lit with a friendly staff and the players were excellent as well. No cheating, arguing or high tension, just a great place to play some ball. The mix of players ranged from beginner to advanced and everyone seemed to know eachother or at the very least get along. This is the most fun I have had playing paintball in a long time.

So overall, I would strongly recommend this field to anyone looking for a relaxing day of paintball. If you're looking for a tournament experience and love all of the drama that goes with it (arguing, cheating, fighting, etc) go else where, but if you are looking to play just for the love of the game and chill with some really great people than this is most definately the place for you!

I am rating this field and '8' for a few reasons. First, I almost NEVER give 10's because perfection is rare in this world and the field would have to be something totally amazing . Secondly, the paint and deflated bunkers kinda cost the rating a little, but with some minor changes this place could easily score a 9 in my book.

Get off on millbrae ave. exit.
Make a left past In & Out.
It'll be on your left a couple blocks down, the blue building.
Review: Alrighty, my general thoughts on this place: Wicked.
Arriving to the field I was a bit negative coming to an indoor field as a veteran woodsballer, but I decided to take a chance.

The prices. Very decent.
20 for entry, and I had to pay 15 to rent a O2 cylinder (mine was busted).
Paint was VERY decently priced, especially with the other field paint-only joints in the area. (55 i think here, as opposed to the 60-80 you get from most others). My little cousin had to rent, 20 dollars for a mask/marker/pouch/vest combo, pretty affordable. (They rent out Model 98's running off O2, a step above what I'm used to seeing at most fields)

Next highlight, the operation. 3 games per match, then short breaks between. Fun and Fast. I'm falling in love with indoor fields over my usual mud sunken shrubbery. Everything went along smoothly, due to some mix up several private parties came simultaneously, causing slight delays for the walk on folks, but this cleared up when they split the field.

Which brings me to my next point. The field. I have to admit, full field is tons of fun in this place, 2 snakes, doritos and columns aplenty. BUT when the field is split, I do feel a little more cover/changes to the layout would be fantastic. The facility is pretty nice, plenty of tables and chairs, as clean as a paintball field can be (people dropping paint everywhere accidentally eventually leads to that slick carpet surface, maybe some grip or rubber tops for some areas would be good.) Overall, I digged it.

But what really made me happy was the staff.
Apparently they have a new manager, and pretty much all new refs and staffers.

Let me just say one thing - If you guys read this, rock the feck on guys. \m/

They're a pretty cool bunch, all awesome guys willing to help you out and also have some fun with you. I'm very familiar with the disinterested/distant staff you see at a lot of fields, I really had fun, and the "chill" atmosphere really made it enjoyable for me. So rock on you guys.

JD, keep it rolling man, I'm not sure how bad it was before, but it seems like it's turning around. I saw buckets of happy faces alongside mine, I'll come play at this field anyday.
I give this place a 9/10.

Pros:
Great atmosphere, makes the experience way more enjoyable.
Decent prices.
Closest field in the area (distance)
Indoor, rain or shine baby!
Furious action, kickarse!

Cons:
Field layout could use some tweaking, mainly when splitting fields.
No Beer! (Oh I wish haha!)
Although it was a mix up with scheduling - all the private parties made downtime a bummer.

In general. It's a really fun laid back joint, close to home. The staff were a great bunch, had an awesome time. I guess they're turning this place around, looking at the old bad feedback and whatnot. I'll definately return to this place.

Rock on.

Review: If you're looking for a place to play like a pro, this field is not for that.

But if you're looking to have some fun with your friends and have some intense 3 on 3, 4 on 4, or 5 on 5, this is the field for you.

Price: High, but only because no one gives it a second try. if people kept going, they could drop their price.

Staff: Great. They hired a new manager and staff. If the last time you went was bad because of the staff, go again. They are tone more interactive with the players, rather than the old ones standing around just to make sure no one took their mask off.

Everything else is good. Maybe some things need a little tuning up, but overall: good

Final Word: GIVE IT A SECOND TRY

Review: This place sucks, first of all i compete in tournaments and i took my little cuz out to paintball on his 13th birthday, i always bring several cases of paint, knowing i probably have to buy a case there to allow my paint to get on. so i told the manager i wanted to bring some of my own paint onto the field, he says "you can only bing on ours," and what do ya know they had karrnage tear, and i also had karnage tear, so i informed the manager and he still would not let me bring it on. i know tear costs 35 bucks a box and that it cost me 60 with tax there. The refs were inexpirienced kids who just stood around looking at their feet and said 3..2..1..go every time they sorted out people to either side of the playing field. This place is basicaly very small and does not get enough customers to have decent prices, so they boost the prices on the small amount of players that come in to get the same margin of profit as other bigger places.

Bunkers suck...
Way to expensive
Paint doesnt break
Nobody Chronos
People Cheat
Call refs for paintchecks and all they do is stand behind the deadbox
All refs do is shoot people from the deadbox and say 321 go and gameover

Pros:
Vending Machines
Panera Bread near by
And In n Out
Working bathrooms
Playing against refs is like target practice. LOL way too easy

So, overall...BEST FIELD EVER :dodgy: x 12312445235342
