I LOVE THIS FIELD BUT A 45 MINUTE DRIVE FROM VIRGINIA BEACH, VA SO I CAN ONLY MAKE IT FOR THE SATURDAY EVENTS. AWESOME STAFF AND REFFS AND THERE IS ALWAYS A REF ANS SOMETIMES 2. tHE TWO TEAMS THAT SHOW UP ARE WILLING TO SPLIT UP AND PLAY AGAINST EACH OTHER TO EVEN IT OUT. THE PRICES ARE EVEN BETTER. RULES ARE FOLLOWED BY EVERYONE AND PLENTY OF SUPERVISON TO ENFORCE THE RULES.
THE ONE THING I DONT LIKE ABOUT THE FIELD IS THAT THE WOODSBALL FIELD IS TOO SMALL AND ONLY 2 BUNKERS BUT LOADED WITH TREES. |

safety is a concern especially in the mud but it was fun. the fields are ok but need more protection for the attackers team almost like th defenders team more pallets and tires. hours are ok cause we played till 4 o 'clock the prices were ok cause i like to use my own paint the rules ok but needs to be more firm bout cheating a.k.a wiping paint. the services needs to be more firm with some of the staff about filling co2 tanks cause i filled up then hit the field and my air ran out...the proshop needs more stuff like purchase guns, paint monster balls is a must for me.,squeegees barrel plugs, helmets, tune up kits, burst disk ,o-rings, remotes are always wanted to and alot more stuff will get them Lot more business when i go i get some batteries which they didn't have, extra barrels you can buy, parts for a jt high voltage would be nice to have, pmi ,angels, tippmann, brass eagle, core ,spyder, and some other really good guns the bathroom sucks cause it was almost full and only one was there for girls and boys.the food aka hot dogs sucked because they were boiled need to be grilled for me and the prices for the paint needs to come down a little cause 45 dollars for 2000 balls is not cheap walmart is up the road a little ways for 30 bucks for 2000 balls sorry but i had to do it "wal-mart".... so they need to be cheaper with that an done more thing need new rentals too cause the tippmanns are a little bit wore out
but the field was awesome because we got to play around with the old paintballs they are huge |

I love this field! The owner Chad is very helpful and even made sure I could get back on the field and play when my gun was messing up! Jay is an awesome baller I was on his team for my last game and he was the last man standing! I cannot wait to go back. I recommend this field to anyone who wants to have a good time paintballin'. Excellent employees always very helpful. |

This was the MOST fun that we have had as a group in a long time. We all work at Mama Kwan's on the Outer Banks, and we wanted something fun to do while we closed for repair/remodeling. We contacted Chad Rotella with Pirate Paintball, and he couldn't have been nicer. He was helpful, friendly, and very prompt with responses. He knew alot about paintball, and that helped us, because we've never done this. He was consice and to the point about rules and safety regulations, but not in a "mean" kind of way. You could definately tell he was there for some fun times. He had a couple of different fields set up for play, but our crew really only wanted to play two of them. We played a GREAT capture the flag course in the woods. That was a blast. I've never had so much fun getting shot in the head! The speedball course was great, with plenty of barricades and hiding spots. There were plenty of times when I was the only one left on my team, trying desperately to hold on. When our teams were uneven (there were initally 19 of us) one of the employees helped even things out. The paint was affordable, the air was included, and there actually is a little diner right down the road that was unbelivable. There isn't enough great things I can say about these guys, and I highly recommend stopping by or calling. It was fun, and we'll more than likely be back.
When you call, tell Chad "Jon from Mama Kwan's" sent you! |

While deciding on where to go on vacation I came across a tournement very close to Va.Beach and Nags Head ,less than an hour an ahalf away from either place. I called ,got great directions from the owner which was a super great guy . The day of the tournement the rules were layed out where anyone would understand , simple and direct, safety was at the top of the list. The field was regulation size for a 3 man tourney, plenty of refs ( the best refs I have ever seen ) the field did not have alot of old paint just laying on the ground like I have seen at other fields. Bunkers were cleaned after the games , were tight with full air, just top notch upkeep. Paint pricing was a major shock cheap and this was better than average paint they were selling. I could not be more happy that both my sons and I had such a super great time on vacation this year with paintball and the fun we had in the tournement. Would like to thank all the great people we met there everyone was so nice. All the Refs keep up the great A job, owner Chad you know what fun is. |

I went to this field today and it is beyond what I would have expected. The forrest field was great and well made. Speed ball rocked and everyone was enjoying it. I would definatly recomend playing here to anyone. The people that work there are also very good and will just chill out with you and chat. I loved my first experiance there and will be back for sure. |

My experience at Pirate Paintball in NC was outstanding. They have 3 fields. Speedball, airball and woods field. Great prices and helpful staff. I have been there 4 times and I loved it so much I brought a group of guys from work and they opened for us during the week to accommodate our needs. I can't say enough about this place. |

You can tell the staff at Pirate Paintball took the time to make the field enjoyable to everyone, from the newest of players to the most experienced player. The refs have several senarios that will build team work and challenge players. While playing any scenario my team could advance rapidly because of the natural and man made bunkers. The prices here are outstanding, the best I have seen anywhere. | Last edited on Saturday, April 15th, 2006 at 2:46 pm PST |
