Airsports is an awesome place to sling paint..
1)Socko, the guy who runs the games is very very strict when it comes to safety but that is very good. You really need to listen to what he has to say, every time i've played there he has given the group of people who came to play at least a 15 minute saftey briefing.
2)The field is just one major patch of land but its divided into different sections..You've got speedball alley, the tavern, stop & shop, City Hall etc..
3)Airsports pb is open 9am-4pm
4)Entry=15, air card=10, paint=BYOB or I think $40 a case
5)Rules are the same as at any field..
6)no real services..you may be able to find someone at the field who knows a thing or two but thats about it.
7)They have a little van that they store the air, paint, rentals etc.. you can buy barrel condoms, spring kits, lanyard etc..
8)The staff is great, very friendly.
9)Players are very very down to earth and nice, but you will always run into that one jerk at any field..
10)Port-o-Potty.. or go grab a bush :D
11)During big games/scenarios if you pre-register you get free dogs/burgers. But any other day they sell slim jims, rice krispies, candy, soda, gatorade, water..| Last edited on Tuesday, June 10th, 2008 at 6:08 am PST |

This field is great. I went there today for my first paintball game ever (I got the gun for my birthday). Everyone there was really helpful, and friendly. They taught me lots of stuff and we got a good 5 or 6 hours of play in it was great. The guy even helped me with my gun when I needed it, it was great. Cheapest prices around, only 20 admission, and pretty cheap Co2, and one of the only bring ur own paint fields left in the area its great. LOL so yeah, bottem line its GREAT. Only problem is they dont sell food but ur welcome to bring your own. |

the field is really consitrated on safty and have many rules to keep you safe. this is a great field i like the field because it has a really big woodsball field. it also has a good speedball field. getting back to woodsball it is great. there are two parts of the field but you can play on both sides and it is great. the down side is that they do not sell food or drink their you have to bring your own. they also have many buildigs to shoot from and they are always improving the field. they have paintballs to buy and they also have CO2. you can also rent a gun mask and CO2 if you dont have a gun. one of their downsides is that there are not many refs| Last edited on Saturday, November 17th, 2007 at 3:13 pm PST |

Look for the sign that says Contemporary Structures, follow that dirt road to the back of the woods and keep going till you hit the parking lot.. very simple! |

This field is a very good one. Its more woodland then speedball but speedball is growing extremely fast, as well as tourneys are just about every other month, with wednesday night speedball opening very soon.
It still has a plenty of action in woodsball, which the woodsball field has it's own personal settings to none, from sppedball alley to thick brush to snipe from, also this field has it;s own personal forts, H-Fort, Casino, Stop & Shop, Tiki Lounge to updating locations as well, clean up day at the field is a good way to keep things fresh at any field.
As for the referees..... These refs are very good at thier jobs, these guys talk in the field, Woodsball & Speedball......so over shooting doesn't happen to-to much.
Players attitudes..... Very friendly surroundings, from players, referees to the management as well as the owner, its a great field to play it if your a newbe or a regular from the area or just visiting from out of town....
Hope to see you on and off the field!| Last edited on Wednesday, September 12th, 2007 at 5:50 am PST |

The directions that you get from google maps or mapquest are pretty good the only thing you need to pay attention to is the sign that says Contemporary structures that is where it is down the road. |

This field is very concentrated on safety, this is very important because as you can imagine a reckless field would also be less enjoyable. The guy who runs the games Jay is very friendly and will help you when it comes to knowing what to do in the games, he also keeps the games moving at a nice pace. The players that go there all seem to be very friendly as well, i have been going to this field for a year now and have only seen one verbal argument that was quickly deescalated by Jay. The field layout is really nice, it is flat, has a ton of structures and they have a map on their website which can be helpfull. I would have to give this field a 10 out of 10.
P.S. the field is affordable and BYOP it can't get much better than that, (you can't use whack paintballs though) |

Went here while visiting my grandparents in springfield. Arrived at a field about 11 and there were already several people there, and within an hour about 5-8 more people showed up.
Fields - When i went there they didn't have the airball field set-up (they were working on the spot for the future one while i was there ) instead they had a mix of air bunkers and barrels, although it wasn't the prettiest it played great. Now that they have a new airball field
their other field the woodsball one was awesome, very large and well constructed. Lots of towers, forts, etc
STAFF - very good, i had a problem with my gun and they did all they could to fix it, in the end i was able to use one of the rental guns for free. :)
overall a very nice field to play at a very reasonable price
10/10 |

Safety - Was taken seriously. Always keeping check on who had condoms on their guns etc. . . before the match made sure nobody fired which ihad never really seen refs care about that before.
Fields - Xball/speedball was closed because of the cold weather. They have a large 6 acre field which we played on all day. Different scenrio's so it didnt get to repitious, however i would have liked to see some more fields.
hours - 8-4pm i believe
prices - Cant really say since it was bring your own paint, and my buddy gave me a free admission pass. I split an aircard with him (10 fills) for 5 dollars a piece.
rules- same as any other field. They were really stressing no bonus balling, and that if you bunkered sombody to only shoot them once, if not make the surrender.
services- Pro shop and air. Thats it i believe.
staff - Nice and professional, they even took some photo's of everybody which i thought was pretty cool.
refs- They did their job, and were nice about it. I liked the fact that for the most part it was all adults doing the reffing. I usually have bad experieces when its some local kids that are doing it.
players - Although im still somwhat of a novice, i can say that 85 percent of the people their were pretty good. There were only a couple of rentals, other than that you could tell that this everybody was either an everyweekend player or tourny players
facilities - Not much was setup but what was there was in good condition and maintained.
food - only downside of the field. no food was being served when i was there.
All in all i like this field. I didnt get a chance to play any xball but for woods ball this is where its at. Would have liked to have a few more fields, but since the one they had was 6 acres, there was alot you could do with it. Again, the only downside was no food, but burger king on the ride home always solves that problem. I plan to play there again when im up in the area. |

Ok first off i wrote here before about this field and didn't know very much..
To start i was new to paintball and i couldn't have ask for a better field to play on... my first time there one of the owners Greg helped me with my gun at no charge just because he saw my frustration, and is generally a nice guy. Anyway i started playing there last year and havent played anywhere else since..
2nd Anyone who is new to the field isnt looked at differently or as a newbie and picked on everyone is respectiful and the staff is great the refs have been upgraded to more than 2 so there is fairness all around.. Jay is the "Head Ref/Owner" and he is on the field himself theres no bullsh*t people who play there dont stay in the game when there shot.. cause AIRSPORTS puts up with 0 and i mean 0 bullsh*t.
3rd They have a huge trailor of supplies and Greg prices them fairly and comparable to most stores plus its right there at the field, aircards are $10 and that incredibly cheap and $15 to play is by far the cheapest..
Lastly is the friendlyness at the field... I can't say anyone should have a bad time or not be able to have fun and be friendly. I made friends with a bunch of the guy if not everyone that plays there plus they have a great website with a forum so you know who everyone is, whos playing what day and what special events are coming up.. Such as RED DAWN 5 OCT15 the sickest scenario non stop 8 hour game around this area... anyway back to the subject I joined a team within a year out of a bunch of knuckleheads we produced the Usual suspects and just won our first 10 man invitational tourny last weekend...
Airsports has nothing negative i know people are loyal to other fields and such like camelot because they have a speedball field...
Little do you people know that AIRSPORTs just invested about $5000 maybe more into new air bunkers, check the website www.airsportspb.com and check the pics for urself... its comparable if not better than other speedball fields plus they have a home team sponsered that maintains it weekly...
Dont miss out on the perfect oppurtunity to enjoy paintball without ever question cost or was it worth it... you'll be craving the next time to play here its fantastic
Shouts to Jay and Greg for making an experience, a gift and a memory
A+ to You ALL |
