Review: How can i begin? I have been playing for about 2 years, and played at challenge park for awhile when I could afford it. Then I found out about Apache Acres. The people at challenge told me not to go there, because it was a club and outsiders were not allowed. NOT TRUE. I was a little hesitante, but a friend from tech told me otherwise. I went to the field to play, WOW!!!!!!! It was great. The feilds were nice and clean. No rocks to slide into and tear up your pants and knees. Shade trees all over, the guys were great. I had some trouble with my gun and they fixed it for free. I just paid for the parts, which was about $12.00. With what it cost me to play there, I can afford to play paintball more often and I will certianly go to apache from now on. I will never go back to challenge. There at apache the people are really nice, owners Jacob and his dad were really good to me. They have their own team and I got to play with them. These guys were very helpful. They did not bonus ball me or anyone else. They even let some really young newbes play. After the games these guys would take the time to tell me and the other kids what we were doing wrong and what we could do next time. A guy named mario and ted and i think the other guy was called sniper (not sure). were very helpful. to me. I strongly recemmend this field to everone who likes paintballing. I have to give them a 12 rating.......... O.K. 10 cause that is as high as i can give them

Review: Wow A+ for these guys and their feild(s)! Super nice staff! Though not the biggest place and a bit hard to find, still good to play. When i went htey had 2 fields, airball and tire. Both kicked ass but could have maybe one larger field to give some more variety (for those big games). Otherwise i had a blast. Great to finally visit a place where the staff and owners are not jerks who act like they are pro's that know everything. Good job guys.

Review: Watched a tournament at this field, the players and owners were great..everyone was so helpful and caring. The refs were impartial and the sportsman ship was awesome..considering this is a new field as well as a paintball club..and not a field set up to make money ..I have to give them a positive 10..I recommend anyone in the lubbock area to try this field and tell Jacob that I said hi

Challenge -just been there didn't play the field. It looked....old and shabby, and the people were pretty rude (stuck up).
Review: I LOVED THIS PLACE-I'd drive for 3 days without sleepin just to go play this field! -- I read the other reviews and noticed some changes since they were posted - It's still the only airball field in Lubbock, still excellent prices ($15-all day for Air, $10 all day for CO2 -B.Y.O.Paint/equipment), great field (parking close, shaded, awesome set-up on the fields, no rocks and stuff, free ice water, and netting so the girls can watch LOL), and the people there are still WAY cool -laid back and helpful, down-to-earth, wanting to help the GAME (not help themselves to your money) and just plain fun to hang out with. The only thing that I saw that's changed is that now they've got some guns and masks to rent out (CHEAP), and they have paint you can buy there but it sells out quick. It's the paint that they Practice with if they have extra they'll let you buy it off 'em instead of having to run out to Academy to get more - It Is good Paint, too not those marbles you buy from the other place. So for rookies like me that want to "try before you buy" it's PERFECT, like 20 bucks for the tools of the trade +borrow your friends paint (LOL) to find out if you want to be a PBalla...and they were really cool to me even though I didn't really know how to play. They weren't stuck up at all. I think playing with people that good will make my game better, too. They will work with you and give you tips and pointers. Also my gun was screwed up and they fixed it for me. At other places they make you pay for stuff like that. When you watch those guys play its kinda scary...but when you jump in and play they don't "roll" you they help!!!!! Let's recap.
Fields 10/10
People 10/10
Price 10/10
And now you can rent stuff to play?
THIS FIELD IS FRIGGIN' AWESOME!!!! I think EVERYONE should play here -why would you go anywhere else? Oh, and I checked out the website -it's pretty cool too (it's www.apacheacrespaintball.com if you want to see their video or get a number to call these folks) I agree with the dude that said "I only give it a 10, cuz that's the highest it'll let me give!"

Review: -(Rentals!)Apache does rent guns and masks. I think they have like 10 or so
-(Cheap!)15 dollars for everything and its B.Y.O.P.
-(Skeels!)Seriously, everyone stop wasting money at Challenge to roll rec-ballers and play with the best ballers in town. After I started playing at Apache I got like 69 times better than when I played at Challenge. Play here and you'll get better
-(Friendly!)Everyone is quite nice there and we love you long time
-(Airball!)Only airball in town, Challenge keeps saying they'll get an airball field, but I have yet to see it. Also you don't have to walk for 5 minutes uphill to get from field to field

Overall a 10

Review: Ok so where do I start? Apache Acres is definitely a little hard to find, my first visit I had to call my friend to find where the turnoff is located – after that the signs pretty much directed me there without a problem. First and foremost the field is located on personal property, but that’s the beauty of having a paintball club not a field…BYOP it defiantly a money saving venture. I like the club aspect so much because you do not have to get caught in the wallet just for wanting to use their fields. I don’t know how long I have had to pay 30 dollars to rent equipment from challenge even though I already own my own. That is the definite downside to apache however, if you do not own your own gun this place is not for you. That aside, I enjoy the short drive from tech. That has always been my main concern with roughneck and challenge, the gas prices combined with the price of paint threw me into the outlaw circuit for awhile. If you want to experience speedball just like you see on TV, come on out and play – the owners and players make you feel extremely welcome – come out and have fun!

Review: Wow, This place is great although a little hard to find.

They have three fields
1. Airball Field - A good field, to have fun and play on
2. 'The Tire Field' - Play around old oil cans and stacks of tractor tires
3. Spool Filed - Play using giant cable spools for protection

The people who work there are very nice and friendly. I am a bit of a newb and they allowed me to jump in with them while they were practicing for a tourny. So far i like this field the best because of customer service and price, only 15 bucks for air and its Bring your own paint.

Play paintball here, I havent been to all the paintball places in Lubbock, but I can't imagin them beating this place!

I rate it 10.

Review: When i first started playing paintball this was the first field that i played at and thought it was the best because of their overall excellent service and relatively cheap price to play and have lots of fun. Overall the best field in Lubbock in my opinion. Their fields are also in very good shape and very fun to play. What is also amazing is that the owners are suprisingly down to earth people. The staff and players of Apache are very helpful and very fun to hang out and play paintball with. My experience with other fields and just playing backyard paintball with my fellow friends from school has led me to really appreciate the quality of this field and of paintball in general. The owners of this field are just normal people trying to get more people into playing paintball and having lots of fun playing together. And though the field is relatively new to Lubbock, to me it has the qualities of other top paintball fields, and maybe better, scattered throughout this nation. And the best paintball field in general in Lubbock.

Review: I love this field. It is the best field I have played at here in Lubbock. The field is awesome! very nice. Shady trees to hang out under, the 4 fields are a lot of fun to play on. The staff is awesome as well. I have never talked to anybody as nice as those guys are. They are really good people trying to make a difference in this crappy town of so called Lubbock. They are more about the sport, the people and getting paintball to much higher level here as far as acceptance. Of course with out breaking your pocket book. Compared to challenge? I have played there quite a bit and I will not be returning to that field. I even bought a membership. There is no privileges to there membership. There is no comparison as far as Quality of the fields. Hands down Apache Acres has them beat. Popularity? Challeng has got everybody beat because they have been here so long. I will most definitely spread the word about this place. My experience here was enjoyable and it was just awesome compared to the other places. Extreme village? they are ok, I guess, but just really crappy grounds I guess you could say. Either way, Again, I will be going to Apache Acres from here on out. I am a loyal paintball now to those guys!!! I think Everybody should go out there and give them a shot! see for yourselves. Just because they don't have so called pro's out there, doesn't make them a bad field, does it? Anyway, APACHE ACRES IS THE PLACE TO PLAY AND THE MOST FUN AND THE MOST PRACTICAL PLACE TO PLAY!!! Because of their very nice fields, great atmosphere, and fantastice prices, I give them a 10 only because that is the highest I can rate them!!!!
