The extreme woodsball course is great. Dense pines w/ a thick pine needle floor, good cover. The center bunker allows you to get up high looking down on the enemy or you can get underneath for a level view on either side. This course has a great staging area and from the staging area the games sound like an all out war.
The speed ball feild is tight and fast with very unique bunkers and there is safety nets and shaded canopies for those who want to watch or work on their equipment. MADD has plenty of parking, CO2 filling, chrono and a helpful staff w/ a strong emphasis on Safety!

My first time trying paint ball. The fellows at the field were great, very helpful, even with my probably dumb questions. They have chrono, CO2, and I think paint. They put me with a team that was familiar with the course. The folks above describe the field well, dense pines with bunkers/barricades, some of wood, straw bales, and one in particular with tin (the sound of balls hitting the other side is a real experience!). The fire lanes are sometimes really narrow and a really good shot is required to get through to the enemy position.
I had a real great time, as a first timer, I was treated very well and helped by the staff and the other players. I will return to Maddball and recommend it, the action was fast but I had time to adjust to the play and even got one player out. I left wanting to play more.

They have a speedball field in a tight stand of pine trees. It is a very unique course, I've never heard, nor seen, another field like it. It is sometimes difficult to hit your opponent, due to the trees, but that only forces one to actually aim at your target, and be precise in your shots. I have noticed that some people with fast firing markers had rather play on a more open course, but that is only due to the fact that they prefer to just spray paint without actually being a skilled enough player to pick off a target with minimal fire. This field does ask that you wear your mask in the staging area, but I feel that they do so just for the added safety of their players. As far as the competition goes, I have noticed that on weekend play, the home team of that field has decided to not play together as a team due to the fact that it is just unfair to the other players. I actually have seen the other reviewer, paintslinger70's, team go against this field, and I think before he goes looking for stiffer competition they may want to try and consecutively beat the local teams first. I also find the staff very honest and helpful, a great group of people. The other field is actually about 1/2 mile away, but is their personal field and is only opened when people specifically request to play on it. As far as the parking goes, their field does not have netting yet. This is not a problem at the woods, but on their personal field I have only noticed cars getting hit when people choose to park right beside the field, instead of parking at a safe distance and using some energy to walk to the field. They do have some improvements to make, but being a new field I feel that with a little more time, the improvements will make this an awesome place to play. |

Ok heres the deal they have what they call speedball in the woods. It is basicaly a very dense thicket of pine trees that they have carved paithways out of and added bunkers to.
The field is very dense, it is very hard to hit each other on the run because the lanes are filled with trees.
They also have a speedball field seperate from the woods which has some major flaws.
A it is about a 2 mile drive from the other field.
B it has no net so to be safe you have to wear a mask in the staging area.
C somtimes your car getts hit
In conclusion it is an ok place for a begginer but has little to offer more experienced players because of a lack of competion. |

What a unique place to play. It is a sppedball field in a very tight stand of trees. A great bunch of fun. They put on a tournament about every other month and usually get some good competition. The staff that runs it are a great bunch and they always are willing to help. I rate this field very high because of the staff and the uniqness of the place.| Last edited on Thursday, January 27th, 2005 at 9:49 am PST |
