Check their website, if you're into archery (see below). They're changing their location within the building but will reopen soon.
Review: As of May 2007 when I checked, Hoops is out of the paintball business. I talked to one of the guys and he said they weren't making any money on it (not surprising, considering the other reviews), so they're back to just archery. He also mentioned that they'd be getting their tank filling gear back eventually, so you might be able to get an HPA fill for outlaw ball.

Review: I like this place. I've gone there a couple times, some for birthday parties. Those are cool here. You get the whole place to your party, and get to play for a couple hours. My only complaints are the field is quite small, and anything over 5v5 is too much. It could be a little bit brighter too. Field conditions vary. One time i went there the turf was so wet from paint that you couldn't run without slipping and falling. Other times its been fine. Overall a great place to go, beginner or advanced player.

Fox 4 Paintball, much better refs, community, and fields.
Review: Alright, this was my first time playing at Hoops Paintball and it will be my last. A friend of mine and myself figured that maybe we should try a new field in the area, and I heard good things from some people about Hoops Paintball, so we figured, heck, why not try it. What's the worst that can happen?

Nothing extremely bad happened, but let's just say that our last visit to Hoop's paintball was already made.

First thing... safety issues. There was not a single ref orienting players on how play would be conducted that day. When I go to Fox 4, there is a 5 minute safety briefing for all of the players there, which is mandatory. Within that briefing, they tell you exactly what to do (i.e. bunkering rules, etc.) and how play will be conducted throughout the day.

At Hoops, there is no such thing as an orientation. When I went there, my friend and I showed up a bit early to get our paint and registration done, after this, we went down into the "staging" area (looked like a loading dock garage) and set down our equipment. Soon after that, I decided I needed a fill for my tank, so I walked over to the compressed air booth. I go up and there's no self-fill station... no big deal at all, I wasn't complaining. When they started to fill up my tank, I realized they stopped at 3k. When I asked as to why, they told me that their air system couldn't handle it.. Well, normally when I pay for all day air I do like to get a full fill.. I didn't mind too much, but it was a little annoying.

After this, we started our first game of play, a 3v3 game. The field was perfect size for a 3v3 game. One thing I did notice was the amount of paint still on the bunkers from previous play. I found that it was a little bit ridiculous when I put my back on a bunker during the first game and I got paint all over my gear.. Once again, a little annoying. The lighting of the field, though, plain sucked. When playing there and you see a player in the snake or at the back corners to the snake, it's hard to make players out who wear dark gear. I say this because the lighting was WAY too dim to be playing paintball in.. maybe increase the wattage of the overhead lights.. the spectating area was better lit than the field.

Also, the bunkers on the field had to be constantly refilled with air. I remember running to a taco and having it deflate in front of me, leaving me with the option of using the sanbags as cover or running to the snake. I ran to the snake, but I think it's time for new bunkers.. when you're re-inflating all of your bunker every other game, there's a slight issue.

Eventually, players began to bunker each other (completely normal). When I got bunkered once, I was hit 3 times in the back. I figured no big deal, after that the refs told the players to do 1 to 2 shot bunker taps to make sure that nobody had to go home with welts. Soon after that, though, a player bunkered me and shot me 5 times in the same place. Not only is that malicious overshooting, that's just plain unsportsmanlike.

Another small annoyance from the field would be the amount of players asking my friend and I to buy their gear.. they didn't notice that we came with all the gear we needed, but they decided to ask us all day to buy stuff. Normally when someone says no the first time, they mean it, but when staff members and players are constantly asking to buy their gear, that's when the atmosphere gets annoying.

Back to the field, eventually the refs began to let 5v5 games go. The bad part about this is the field is way to small to play a 5v5 game.. 3v3 was good, but with 5v5 it got a little bit crowded, after that, they did a 7v7 game and that was absolutely horrible.

With seeing regulars wipe, to being really no deadbox, the field wasn't too good. Some of the refs were nice, did paint checks, helped you out of the game, etc. Some refs were also just plain annoying and wouldn't shut up. Also, after a game, ON THE FIELD, refs would take off their masks and talk to other players. Well, last I checked, once you entered the netting, it was a goggles on area, and there's no barrel condom rule after the ref tells you to take them off until the game is over and the player is leaving. I don't know why a ref would take off their mask in a live fire area with uncovered markers, but that's their own safety.. not ours.

If I could give Hoops a list of things to improve on, they would go as like this:

1) MANDATORY SAFTEY ORIENTATIONS... could be the 5 minutes that might prevent an injury.
2) New fill stations. Takes 15 seconds to fill to 4500 at fox 4, takes a minute here to fill to 3000... that's kinda pathetic.
3) Better lighting on the field. If I can't see my target, how am I supposed to shoot him/her?
4) Up to 4v4 games only.. the field gets way to crowded after that.
5) Tell players not to annoy players who do not want to buy their gear.. I can understand once, but 5 times is overkill.

If I were to give my visit to Hoops a rating from one out of 10, they would get a maximum of a 5.

EDIT: As of today, this field has been shut down. HOORAY!

Review: I went to this place once and i was some what disappointed. The refs were nice to me and my friends but weren't very nice to anyone else and actually cheated for me and my Friends just to beat the other team b/c they didn't like them. prices were pretty cheap and the turf was nice but the field was way too small barely enough room for 4v4 game. The air filling area isn't very well set up one of the workers actually dropped my friend nitro tank and dented part of it. Even though one of the refs had a shield he got mad because sum one accidentally shot close to him and almost took the player out for blind firering. The refs would also switch to players every once in a while which got annoying. The field was pretty dark and the deadbox idea didn't work so well because the field was so small you couldn't get to it w/o blocking play of others. All in all i say go if your friends with the refs or but other than that i would rather go some where else

The Hab had a rec feild which totally rocked but otherwise Hoops is better.
I went to the hab last year with a rental 98, but today at hoops i had a Pilot ACS and a Autococker Trilogy so maybe I'm biased because of the guns.

Who knows.
Review: Hoops is a really great place to play paintball. It was 25$ enty fee (because it's a saturday), and 2000 paintballs were $50 (Diablo Heat). I went with two other guys and split up 4k paintballs so it cost about 60$ each. But it was worth it. The feild setup was great, and most of the players on the feild were evenly matched. The Refs were fair and there were often three or four on the feild. The only thing i didn't like was the fact that bunkering had been banned because there were a few young kids (they said they were ten but looked about 6-7). All in all it was well worth the money, and I will definately go again.

Review: This was my first time at Hoops Paintball. The safety was good. You can stand directly next to the field and run no risk. The field was small but for some small is good (me). There are snakes on both sides a huge dorito in the middle and rollers at both ends along with other bunkers. This field is FPO which is a bummer but the field paint is good (Diablo Heat=$15-500/$50-2000) Entry is 20 (christmas week special) and rental is 10 bucks (Tippmann 98C). They can only fill tanks up too about 3500psi. There were at sometimes four refs and some games only one, but they are good and will check someone even if they don't think they were hit (should anyways). Here theyre are three distinct player abilitys(generally): Noobies who used stock 98s and are young, kids who have egos/matrixs(Red Storm) and a medium which the people have been playing for a while but cannot afford the faster guns.(me)
Theyres not food here but there is soda and powerade machines, and the bathrooms are kind of ghetto, but whatever. THis was my first time paintballing with my new gun (SP Ion) and it held up well and the field was better than expected

Review: First off, I read about all these things like free food, PMI paint, and improved reffing, yet I went almost 1 YEAR AND A HALF LATER, and saw NONE of it. It's as if the owner had some friends that played, so he opened a field for them, and lost intrest in it. I have a lot of complaints about this place.
1.) It was very dark and tiny!!
2.) For a FPO field, I had many different kinds of paint on my back after being lit up with several bonus balls from one of the local "players".
3.) This field may have been better off without a dead box, because then people would'nt have thought that they were safe and they would be cowering with their guns up, so you know they are out. The dead boxes are located directly behind two bunkers, on opposite ends of the field, and so I spent a fair amount of three games snap shooting the dead box. Perhaps this had to do with poor team communication, but it's still a factor in some people's fun.
4.) There were about 4 or 5 refs on the field, and only 2 of them were noticable as refs. Sometimes an additional ref would walk onto the field in the middle of the game. The fact that these guys wore their team jerseys would have been okay if other members of their team were not there playing switching off with them. Its extremly frustrating when a player is a player one game, and a ref the next, without any warning. Also, the refs would help out their friends, by hiding behind the same bunker and telling them the locations of other players. Also, it would be a good idea to yell that a player is out at a certain bunker, as oppossed to telling the nearest player that someone is out. Usually people like to stratigize, or at least figure out who's going where before a game, and if you through in a 6th or 7th player right before the game, they either get out immediatly because they don't know what's going on, or they take complete control and push others out of the way.
5.) The local kids seemed to do whatever they wanted to, from wiping, using they're own paint, lighting kids up point blank, and not chronoing, to name a few.
The bottom line is, if your gunna make rules, keep them.
Don't say 250fps "or else" if guys are shooting 300. Don't Field paint only if guys are using what they bought at the local Wal-Mart. Don't say 5on5 max if your gunna through 4 more guys in at the begining. Try mixing up teams a bit, try some "Newbie only" games. Let people see your pathetic little field before they pay $15 to get in. Just, try actually runing a legitimate field, and not sitting back, watching the refs dissappear, only to reappear just to jerk off. If your gunna open a paintball field, run it.

Review: First off, i went to the field on the friday before christmas, so there werent many paople there. The prices are pretty good, $15-$20 to get in (depending on the day) Paint wasnt too expensive $30 for 1000, not too bad. The field itself was nice, it had plenty of bunkers that werent over inflated. The fake grass is sweet, the paint gets on it and you can slide pretty far. The only negative thing i can think of is the lighting, its kinda dark on the field. Overall the field has good prices, and its a good indoor field. If you have a few hours to kill this is a good field

Review: THIS IS SEMI BIASED SINCE I AM A REF AT THE FIELD JUST STARTED REFFING AND PLAYING THERE SO I SEE SOME PROBLEMS BUT AGAIN I AM VERY PLEASED WITH IT IF YOU PLAY THERE IM THE SHORT KID THEY CALL ALTY

The field was very nice the atomix turf is amazing you just have to time your slide right or you will go too far, the field is small but is good for 3x3 or 4x4 games.
we mix it up and try not to let the "real speedballers" play against he younger woodsball players. the field layout was changed partway through the day to give it a new look and just to try something new. the reffing was good, a lot of good comments are given to the reffs by players and parents alike. good stagin area with a separated chrony area and an area to watch the games safely sunday is really cheap to play and BYOP

cons== the high pressure airsystem needs improvement right now it takes a few minutes to get a 3000 psi fill, but it works and hasnt broken. some of the bunkers are too big for this style of field but were used ok, most days are FPO and the prices are really good, cant remember off the top of my head
overall i think it is a very good field and you should check it out
