Playpaintball are one of the best ranges I have played at. They currently have two sites. One is a large area of open grassland with trees, bushes scrub, and some really cool heaps of sand. The other site has an abandoned house on it. The house has had its roof, doors and windows removed, leaaving just a shell.
The games on both of these sites offer a great opportunity for some awesome and also varied paintball games. We have played bush games, flag capture games, as well as a host of ambush, hostage etc games at the urban field.
The best thing about playpaintball though is the price. These guys are really trying to make the sport affordable for everyone, and their prices mean that I can afford to play more often. Their equpment is new and well maintained, the paint they use is of high quality, and the general atmosphere is always great!
Another feature I really like is that they take lots of pictures during the game and then post these on their website. Its always great to be able to show my collegues at work what I did for fun on the weekend!
They are definately one of the best ranges I have played at! |

I am really impressed with this "field" if you can call it that. They move away from the old traditional boundary based fields with set bunkers, set hiding places and set boundaries which, once you played the field a couple of times, you get used to and get bored with.
They "move" the field between building sites and open fields and accommodate almost any preference in doing this. There are usually no set boundaries and no man made obstacles. This forces the player to use age old war skills like stealth, flanking, guerilla warfare and sniping to survive. The flip side is the urban warfare fields, which constitute old or partially build buildings, simulating artillery damaged buildings. These are used for hostage/SWAT type scenarios which are great fun.
Finally they're prices are reasonable, they use good quality equipment and are well organized. All in all they offer anything - from the pro looking for something different to the teenager or family looking for a nice party to the corporates looking for team building.

Playpaintball has a unique idea. They are a mobile paintball range and organise scenario type games on a variety of sites around Pretoria. They also cater specifically for birthday parties, team buildings etc. The sites range from bush/forrest to urban sites with disused buildings on them.
The other positive aspect is that their pricing is really reasonable, they try hard to make paintball affordable. There equipment is new and kept in good condition. Playing there is always a pleasure, and loads of fun. |
