this field is god awful.
there are rocks in the middle of the field where people slide, not just any rocks HUGE rocks that would require a jackhammer to get out.
the field itself is not impressive, paint is kept in a tidy storage container where it is not temperature controlled and can swell/freeze.
the owner himself is a very unkind man who yells at customers on a daily basis.
he has no common courtesy, does not treat anyone with respect and will not help you if you have a problem.
he instead will give you a line to the effect of: 'well you should have bought it from me and i would have fixed it'.
that is not how a reputable and decent paintball field should be run.
this man is a terrible blemish on out sport that we love.

upon further review.....this field is so terrible it didn't even last a year in the new location

This field sucks, the owner sucks. I have been to the old one, and the owner gets pissed if you buy something from the internet, even if you get a better deal. He is mean to everyone there. I would just go to Accusplat in Salem (across from Thunder Valley), it owns this field soooo much. |

The feild is great it is all air bunkers they change the feild set up every day so its like you never play on the same feild layout twice.the owner is real nice and his staff are real helpful they do a great job at reffing and they know what there doing the feild is fully netted and has a stagging area from part of the rock quary they have spooles to put your stuff on. if you get a chance go and play there.| Last edited on Friday, May 27th, 2005 at 5:14 pm PST |

Where do I start? Ok, maybe the his way over-priced items. He sold me a case of paintballs (I forgot the name, cuz it was off-brand..that's all he had in stock). He sold them to me for twice as much as they were worth. I went online, and there they were for only $35..He sold them to me for $55. Once I bought everything I needed, and stopped cranking out money, his respect for me went out the window. My mother had to come down there to sign a wavier, and he wasn't very friendly to her.
The field is nice. Could be cleaned every now and then...The Ref's are pretty cool, I don't think they take all the safety precautions they should. I mean they ref "outside" the netting.
The games they run are crap, they don't even up the teams. When i went there to fill my N2 tank, I saw 5 noobs w/tippmann's(stock) vs 5 rookie/novice with like DM4's, Timmys, Shockers, Matrix's..etc...They tore them apart, and all the ref's did was just laugh.

i played at this feild acouple of times and every time i go it gets worse and worse
the first time wasnt that bad but the prices indicated on the website were totaly different then what he charged me and when i asked him about it he said he forgot to update the site. The feild isnt that bad its a little small for my taste and have play MUCH better feilds but it would have to do since there arnt alot of other feilds around
the second time we came early right as they wer opeing and they didnt have the feild up so we payed are money and waited... about an hour later he had the feild up but get this he put it side ways so you could easily walk from one side to the other in under 10 steps... we were really pissed about this but wanted to play so we didnt say anything. Well he ran out of N02 and he went to go get more... 3 FREAKING HOURS LATER HE PULLS UP!!!! by that time they were closeing and we were PISSED !
well the third time and this was the final straw
we go and pay to get in he charges us 5 bucks more to use the feild then the last time and then gips the hell out of us for paint that was dried out and half were broken they broke in are barrels and were incredibly stale.
i hate this feild and the owner i hope that after reading this article you wont waste your time and money going to a crappy old man that is mean and cold hearted he treats people like shat and is never in a good mood. his feild sucks and his paint is horrible he says that he checks for freshness well maybe he did like 4 months ago cause that is the worst paint i have ever played with.| Last edited on Tuesday, April 5th, 2005 at 6:41 pm PST |

Ive been playing at this feild since it has opened. Man is there a difference. This feild is incredible. I dont like woodsball to much but im sure when they finish the woodsball fields it will attract more people. Anyway the people that hang around are very nice and the people who work there are really nice also its an awsome field. Thanks for giving a place to play in roanoke hv! |

i used to go to there old field all the time last year till i moved. the old Field was good but the new one i think is better. there new field is all air bunkers its grassed and the, well i guess you would call it a staging area its under what seems to be a bridge looking thing so if it rains you should stay dry.. the staff well i think they are fine never had ne problem's with them and also it is considerably larger then the last and aside from being so secluded and passing by it 5 times till me and my friend noticed the sign it was a fun place to play, better then the old field don't have the cramped staging area or the rotting meat smell from the Oscar Myer plant place. i give it a seven because that's above avg and they didn't get in there woods field yet they might have by now but i don't no, and the seclusion i wished it was more towards town but hey other then that its kick azz. |
