Review: Ok, so I kind of have mixed reviews of this field. And keep in mind I was only only the indoor field. The outdoor fields were closed...

To start things off, what attracted me to this field was the fact that it has an indoor 7-Man field. I live in Columbus and I was chomping at the bit to play this weekend. I couldn't wait any longer. But the weather was awful in Columbus and in Mt Gilead (for Splatterpark) so I decided to give Seek & Destroy a try.

It took about an hour and half to get there from Columbus, and it was relatively easy to find. Just look for the sign on the left when you see the fairgrounds on the right.

Now here was my first beef. Ive read the other reviews and almost everyone has said that the staff was great. At first I greatly disagreed. There was one staff member that seemed to be more interested in joking and making fun of all the regulars instead of helping customers pay their fields fees and get paint. This guy had a very very cocky attitude and really had no reason to be.

After paying for my fees and paint I headed to the field. It looked like a 7 Man NPPL field complete with NPPL bunkers. The turf was pretty nice for an indoor field, but like most indoor fields, wear cleats or shoes with some kind of traction.

I then had 2 hours worth of problems with my gun and finally took it to the staff to take a look at it. Now Ive already spent 70 bucks on paint (Nightmare for $50 and $15 for field fees) I wasn't super happy about spending more money to get my gun working. The guy at the desk I believe his name was Matt, said he wouldn't "rape me". About ten minutes later he brought it to me firing and didn't charge me. I was very thankful and my view of the place instantly went up.

Now here is where my biggest gripe comes from. There was no organization. Now I will give them the benefit of the doubt having so many people using one field but it was horrible. They had two private groups show up almost at once, and the management wanted to give them ample playing time understandably. But the problem was that the refs couldn't organize the games well. They didn't really yell out which group was on the field and it was like pulling teeth to get the games going. One ref you could barely hear him. He never raised his voice over the people playing to get them to pick sides.

On top of all this, there was a group of regulars who were the most obnoxious bunch of brats I've ever seen. They ran around like they owned the place. There was one game where these idiots wanted to play a big game of like 20 on 20 on a 7-Man field. The rest of the group wanted to split it up but these kids wouldn't leave the ref (who I believe was on their team) alone. The thought that most of us had payed a lot of money to be there never crossed their mind. It was these punks that make me really not want to go back.

So for an overview here goes...

If the weather sucks and you really want to play, Seek & Destroy is not a bad option.

You can pay cash or Visa or Mastercard which is nice...
BYOP as long as its white fill or buy paint at the field. No Monster Paint on any field
Paint is $40 or $50 for Diablo Nightmare
Fields fees are $15 if you buy paint with all day air
Safety was pretty solid. Refs were on top of that
Small pro shop but they seem pretty knowledgeable about markers and marker repair
Group of regulars can be very annoying. They had no respect for the people that spend their hard earned dough to be there.
Refs were pretty good, could just be a little louder when calling out instructions, and more organized.

Overall I'm giving this field a 7 out of 10

P.S. Be real careful on any surface that doesn't have turf on it. It will be incredibly slippery

Review: Let me start out by saying the staff is very nice and willing to help and work with anyone who ask. That is by far the best thing about the field. The refs were very far and very helpful safty on the playing field was top on there list I seen a player go down and lose his mask refs crovering him up asap and stoping the game play and demanding guns plugs in asap befor I even know what was going on 100% great safty protection. The field was heated and inside that is good for winter play.

Now The playing field was not the best the floor was wet and very slick. The safty was not as good in the staging area I seen many gun plugs not in the guns infact I was beside a guy that was cleaning his gun and the next thing it went off and the ball hit the wall right beside me just above my head and people dry shooting in the staging area as well. There were to many people there playing and im not complaning about people there playing but for only haveing one 5 man speed ball filed open for all those players there was no where you could go there would be a dozen peps on one team so the playing time needless to say was crowded and short the staging area wasvery wet and slick and dirty there was no food or drinks there was a pop machine but thats about it . The people I met there was great and friendly I had some good chat there. All in all the staff was great and so were the people the field could use some work as well as the staging area open up more fileds and get some food and more drinks other then pop. Will I play there again maybe every now and then unless more fields are open and it gets a bit cleanner. but will go back every now and then because of the staff and peps.

Review: Been trying different fields in the Dayton area and this is one of the only indoor fields.
As far as the field, there is just one indoor and an outdoor field.
Refs are availible for every game and this field is the most structured. Safety is priority one and plugs/condoms and mask are required and enforces almost zelously. When extra groups showed up, games were on and smoothly rotated between groups, 2 games each. Fast, easy and smooth.
A big plus, is paint is fairly cheap, $49 case for winter paint all day air is included in entry fee.
More than enough staff on hand to assist and fill, and sell more paint.
Ohio weather makes this field a big plus for indoor heated play.

Review: This is the best field in the Ohio area by far. Seek and Destroy has 3 speedball fields including a turfed indoor 5-man field, an outdoor 5-man field, and an outdoor 7-man field. There is also two scenario fields to use as well.

Unlike some of the other fields in the area, Seek and Destroy is both a safe and fun place to play. All the speedball fields are fully surrounded by netting, so you don't have to worry about getting shot just watching the games like some other places. There is also an experienced staff of refs to help keep the games both fun and enjoyable for the players.

The proshop has what you need as far as paint, beverages, and rental equipment. The shop is continuing to grow, so there should be a lot of products from clothes to guns coming in the near future.

Review: The field is VERY VERY nice!!! The indoor field is coverd in nice turf. It has to be the best indoor field in Ohio. The owner is nice and his son usually refs. They are usually there on time but sometimes are a little late from there team staying there late into the night. The outdoor field is ok and on a hill it is shaped kinda like a Y and it made out of tires, barrels, etc. Not as nice as the indoor field. when i e-mailed the owner he said they are thinking on making a outdoor speed ball field in erly summer. They always have people there. Most of them are good when i went me and my friend could hardly keep up with them. But by the end we where up with them. after the games guys will come up to you and tell you things you could have done to not get out. They really helped me by hugging the bunkers.(good idea to wear cleats soccer, football, baseball anything with a lot of grip, the turf is very slippery) the prices are fair and they are a field paint field for the indoor field only.(BY OP Fridays) white fill only) the outdoor is optional. (the proces are a littel high tho on paint).they have drinks and vending machine's. If i was going paint balling for the week end i would price seek-and-destroy. look carefully for the sign it is very small we drove right past it the first time we went.

Review: Seek and Destroy Paintball just keeps getting better and better. They now have the turfed indoor 5-man field, an outdoor 5-man field, and an outdoor 7-man field. Not to mention the 2 scenario fields.

Couple the large selection of fields to play on with experienced refs and staff, the field has more to offer than any other field in the area (I've been to them all).

Review: This field has recently undergone a LOT of changes, such as TURF indoor! THAT'S RIGHT I SAID TURF! OH YEA! They now fill you right at the front counter which is great, filling you all the way to 4500 now too! Well kept & CLEAN inside & out, the staff is both helpful and friendly with refs on the field at all times. In the summer they have 2 outdoor fields and a woodsball field. The paint, air and entry is all reasonably priced, they have BYOP on friday nights, (WHITE fill ONLY). Open play saturdays & sundays with rentals available for those who don't have their own stuff! There are a lot of good players in the area that play here, but they don't take over the field and they keep it fair which is good, I think this is where I will be playing from now on!

Review: This feild is by far one of the best in the area. The refs care about safty and try their best to make you have a good time. Their prices are fair, its about the same as other feilds in the area. But what makes it the best is we get to bring our own paint. The have good rules, and give you plenty of freedom. Their woodsball feild is alright, but their indoor field is the best that i have played on. Their shop does not have much i it yet, but they will order just about anything. They do have food and gatorade their which is a great plus. The best thig about this field by far is the owners, and operators, they are the nicest and most knowledgable people in this buisness, they will do anything to help you out when you are in trouble.

Review: It was a lightly rainy day, so we spent all day indoors. First thing I noticed, price. I'm used to paying $60/day for walk-on/air and 2k rounds. Paid $75. I'll excuse that since it is the only indoor field I've been to.

The field was... well nightmarish. The mulch is basically satan's gift to paintball. From the reviews here, they are looking to put carpet under it. It would be infinitely better to just put carpet/astroturf on the field and burn the mulch. Here's why:

#1- hard to get speed off break without falling on your ***
#2- ****s with your slide. I slid into a bunker starting from about 6 or so feet from it. The mulch was so thin it was like vaseline on a waterslide and I shot out the other side of the bunker and got lit up. Not to mention my elbow ground across the concrete the whole way across. That and slipping/falling on my elbow all day left me with a nice mix of blood and wood on my arm.
#3- gets in EVERYTHING. I was playing at RUSH nearly 6 weeks later and found shavings in my Halo... During maintenence afterwards, there were chips in my barrel, bolt, and even inside my grip on my board... very not cool. Not to mention in your shoes, in your hair, in your pants, etc.

Kinda dark. I felt like it was hard to see downfield. After about 3 hours of play, someone turns on the rest of the lights inside... 1,500+ rounds too late. Not too bad after that.

Last con, the fill station was only hitting like 2,500psi at best that day. I'm sure this was an exception, but I can only rate on my own experience.

Plus side:
Paint was good quality.
Ref was good.
Good bunker setup.

**Bottom Line: 3/10**
Hopefully it was just a bad day, but I hated it. I don't have any intentions of going back. They'd get a 7/10 if the mulch was gone, no joke it sucks that bad.

Review: When I first pulled into the parking lot of Seek and destroy, i got a little worried.. once i got inside i was met by a friendly guy (shane i think was his name) behind the counter..
he was very nice and explained the rules of the field to me.. i paid $25 all together for walk on, and all day air(fair price).. i then was excited to see that they carried my favorite brand of paint (x-ball), and i think i paid $50 for it which is very resonable for this quality of paint..

once i was finished paying, shane promptly asked me if i needed air, which he immediately filled my n2 tank for my all the way to 45k!! yippie!!

now done with all the tedious stuff i proceded to go into the field and was amazed at the size of the indoor field. it was huge! they also had a large turn out that day and had more than enough staging area to accomodate us all..

the airball field was well set up, you do have to play on mulch (which is on top of carpet, so you don't slip and fall), which at first i was a bit weary about, but after some getting used to, i LOVED it! you can slide so easily on it with out having to worry about getting hurt..

there were several teams there that day, and i was up against some stiff compatition, but you don't learn anything from playing lesser players..

every game there were at least 2 refs on the field, and if i yelled for a paint check they would go diving through streams of paint to check the players..

since i frequent that field now, i've had several chances to chat with shane, and he has promised me that they will have 2 new airball fields up within the next month or so.. one of those field being a regulation x-ball field which i am extremely stoked to play on..

all in all i give this place a 10/10 huge props
keep up the good work guys!
