I went to Snakepit with four friends ranging in ages from 22-32. None of us had really ever played paintball. I chose Snakepit because Steph, the owner, was willing to have us out during the week. Most of the other courses in our area were weekend only.
We played for about 3 hours, which was plenty in the afternoon heat of mid-August. Being new to the game, Steph was very helpful with game ideas and even joined in on a couple. He has two courses, a speedball course and a trenches course. He said he has plans on adding courses with time and as business increases (Snakepit's been open a little over a year).
Snakepit offered us a group rate with five or more persons which included guns, masks and 200 rounds for $20.00/person. An additional 2000 rounds was just $55.00, which seemed reasonable after reading some of the reviews for the Austin area.
While this was my first time playing, Steph made it enjoyable for all of us. We are all certainly going to return, hopefully with a few more people, when it is a little cooler outside. |
