safety - just like all fields safety is #1
fields - when i was there. they had 3 fields
hours of operation- i believe its only open on weekends
prices- $140 for a case of paintball
rules- same as every other field.
staff- over all great. same way you would be treated if you go to Paintball Nation in Mississauga
players- my co-worker organized this outting. so basically more half than have were beginners.
my only complaint about this place is. no speedball field. if you put the prices to about 70-80 for a case. the whole group of us guys would've bought a case each. $140 for a case of whitebox is a way too much.
but overall its a great place to play to get away from speedball.
p.s im waiting for the speedball field at nation. lol| Last edited on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007 at 5:41 pm PST |

People ! After many years of quest for a GREAT field, there it is ! Camp Combat is simple but amazing !
They have 4 fields :
- 2 speedball (one can be used for rec)
- 2 woodsball (one in the bushes - one in the forrest)
Here is the goldmine : not only the owner, Don, is the coolest guy ever, but clearly he is here for the fun of the game : BYOP all WEEKEND = $10 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They sell great balls (Zap) for around $50 !
Renters : $15 for tippmann 98 package ! COME ON !
AND FREE AIR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
How can such a great deal be not discovered before ??? Yes the fields are not as clean as other paintball field where everything is laid off fairly nicely but if you like woodsball the way it is supposed to be, there it is !

before my review I would like to say that all of my reviews are based on what i have experienced ONLY.
this field is really fun to be at! It is all out door and they have lots of fields or “maps” as they called it. the paint is a ok and the price is not that bad. The best thing is they ask every one if they wont pizza and then they order so you don’t have to leave the field. Bring bug repellent !!!!!!!!!!!
The People
They are nice and they are all very helpful.
The Field
the fields are big and very well built but there is some problems were they have not filled in holes or they have let the grass grow really tall making difficult to shoot guys on the ground. The other fields are ok no big deal.
Over all
I liked camp combat friendly people nice field good time and its not going to break the bank.
I would bring new paintballers to this field because of the fun they will have.
1 point for paint
1 point for clean fields
4 points for staff
2 points for reffs
camp combat gets a 8 out 10

after alot of work to the fields CC is open for another year.
they now have a huge sup air field with all the bunkers you could want (including one of those 40 ft. nppl snakes)
they have 2 home teams, CCDefecit who are ruling the ygz level right now and CCLegacy who are of 07/10/06 undergoing a team restructure in the novice division.
Camp Combat is a paintball club so memberships are provided. people are more than welcome to come down and take advantage of a sample, one day membership, free of charge.
CCL and CCD practice on a weekly basis on saturdays and welcome all teams and players no mater the skill level for some wikkid speedball scrims and drills.

Camp combat is an awesome place to go. its cheap, good staff, good fields and its always a fun time (for most people). the owner donnie is a nice person to talk to and a fair opponent when playing against him. Jeff is my idol because all ive seen him do is smoke drive a tractor and shoot kids with his angel. Randy and Jordan are good refs. so over all its a really great field. |

This field is a good field, its worth the $25.00 BYOP if you bring alot. Currently, they are tearing down their hay-bale field and making a sup air field, which should be done by next season. They also have a cheap night, which means you get free air/co2 and very inexpensive paint. |

I first heard of Camp Combat (CC) through a teammate ... From the first time i heard about it I knew it would be a good field. I know I can speak for everyone around Burlington and Waterdown that we needed a field that was better, and closer than SOF. Our prayers have been answered. CC is a solid field. With Solid People.. Solid Fields... and solid prices. I have not one negative aspect for this field. I will however make some reccomendations... BRING BUG REPELENT!!!!!!! I know from experience |

My first experience with paintball was awesome.
The staff at Camp Combat were decent. Like others have posted they have 3 play areas, the hyper-ball was quick and fun, the obstacle coarse was also good, as for the wooded area, it was okay but I prefer the others.
I thought it became a bit pricey by the end of the day. We played on a Saturday for approx. 3-4hrs. The balls were 8 cents a piece after the first 100 that were included with the rental gun.So I found that I would get a 200 ball fill($16) and I doubt I was getting 200. I was also under the impression that C02 fills were included, they weren't, another 6 bills a fill (not cool) Their web site states ,with a 4hr group booking "C02 fills are free" . So after the initial cost of the rental, I dropped a wad on C02 and ammo.
I would say that we all had a blast playing, the refs were good, but they seemed to stick it to you $$$$ A bit pricey in my estimation.
If you don't mind being called "buds" and getting ripped off for C02, it's good place to go...... 5/10| Last edited on Friday, June 24th, 2005 at 6:38 pm PST |

The field is organized extremely well! I think the Grand Opening Day had lots of staff but that was because they were so well organized and prepared. The hyperball field is one of the best in the area. They have 2 other fields (3 total), and they were rocking!! I never played on a great field like the one with the hay barrels before. That was awesome. The games were switched around to make it interesting. I give this field a 10 out of 10. I know in a couple of weeks they will be up to par with signs so people can find it easier and fix up the "minor" technicalities. The prices are right in the same ballpark as the other fields I've played at. They did their research before making the prices because I actually pay more at Niagara Tactical than I do at Camp Combat. I can't wait to go again next weekend!! Keep up the excellent work PBA & Camp Combat! |

......When I first arrived at the field for the grand opening it was a little hard to find, they had a tiny sign that didn't even indicate if it was Camp Combat (so I suggest to the owners to put up a bigger more clear sign so that people know the field is there AND way in the back). When I got in i was impressed with the set up they had. The had the full wagon set up with all the equipment (renter and owner) and air/CO2 stations ready to go, they had a chronying station, all the basics you need. The place looked good but I was disappointed when I actually ran the field. It was not very well laid out or level. You couldn't take a step without tripping from the divots, and there "Hyper Ball" field wasn't much of a hyper-ball field, it was all little blue barrels stacked up in an irregular pattern and there wasn't much to hide behind, but it still looked fun to play on. So the hyper ball field was kind of a disappointment but still a descent try. The "Woodball Field" was pretty good for wood-ball, there was lots of cover (mostly hay bails) and there were some nice hand made bunkers, not many trees but long grass to hide in. A good field if you like open field wood-ball. So I think the hyper-ball field deserves a 6/10 for a poor effort setup and bad ground and the wood-ball a 7/10 for the good look and feel.
......The Staff there were pretty nice, they were all helpful and were willing to answer any question. There were a bit to many Refs (which means higher prices for the player) so I suggest cutting back a bit. The staff at the counter didn't really know much (and there was 3 at the counter, way too many) but that's ok as long as you know what your doing.
......They have just rescently changed their prices. They lowered their paint prices with a case of spank for $120 and high quatily (might be chronic) for $140 a case, on normal days. The entry fee on normal days is good only 10$. They have lowered their entry fee for cheap Tuesdays and is now 10$ for entry (used to be 20), and 3cents a ball which is excellent (15$ for 500 and 60$ for 2000).
......So overall this is a descent field with a few cons that can be fixed with a day or 2 of work, it's pretty well run, and maybe they can make a couple more (better) field in the future with all the room they have there.
OVERALL SUGGESTIONS:
-They should have less staff
-They should really consider redoing the "hyper-ball" field and make it flatter with a better layout
-They should or as Phil17 said in the last review have a B.Y.O.P night with $20-$30 entry
-Make a bigger sign out front with prices on it and the NAME of the place
But good job to the field owner for making a field in Waterdown, we needed one.
The field deserves an overall 7/10 because of the nice staff, attepemt to make a good field and for lowering the prices.| Last edited on Saturday, June 11th, 2005 at 8:58 am PST |
