Their site is out of date, and the message board on their forum says they're closed. This field appears to be closed. Does anyone know if this field is open or not?
Okay, there are not enough words in this review.
How many words does it take to find out whether a field is closed or not?
I mean, I've found lots of listings for closed fields.
It would be nice to know whether a field is really open if you're looking for a new field to play at. |

Other Fields in the Area: |
Xtreme Paintball - The fields were not as good as Xtreme Combatzone's fields, but they were much better at enforcing safety rules.
Outback Paintball - Out of the three I have played at so far, this is the best one. |

The first thing I would like to say about this field is that they do not enforce safety rules nearly as much as they should. On multiple occasions there were people firing there markers when other people did not have masks on. At no time did anyone even seem to realize that this was a problem. The speedball field is also right next to the staging area, and there is only a three foot high wall, with another three feet of netting seperating the two. While people were playing on the speedball field, people in the staging area were not required to have their goggles on. This seems very unsafe since the barrier seperating the two areas is only six feet tall.
The fields themselves were fairly decent. I liked the speedball setup they had. Instead of using air bunkers, they have oil barrels that are stacked on top of each other. My only complaint is that the spacing between barrels is a little to wide. On a couple of occasion, I was eliminated due to a paintball slipping between these spaces in the bunkers. Talking to one of the guys there however, it was mentioned that they are going to wrap the barrels in netting to prevent that from happening.
I only played two games in the woods, but I thought they were both good. One was set up mainly for attack and defend. The terrain made if fairly difficult on the attackers, but usually defenders have the advantage anyway. The second field I played on was good too. There was plenty of cover, and some nice setups.
It is a field paint only establishment, so if this is something that bothers you, you may want to avoid this place.
Overall, I had a good time there, but I will not be going back due to the lack of safety enforcement. Since I believe that safety is such an important issue, I am going to give this field a 4 out of 10. |

Went there today (April 1st, 2006) and talked to the manager for about 30 minutes. Called him yesterday to ask about his field. Don't know why people are saying they aren't open and the number is disconnected. Sounds like someone is trying to ruin the good name of this place. I travel about an hour to go here. There are fields closer, but this is pretty sweet. Would recommend it to anyone wanting to play some paintball. May want to call ahead to see how many people are playing. It was 65 and nice today and we got there about 12:30 and no paintballers. Where are all the ballers in Bellefountaine? Better make it out to this course. |

At no time was I trying to ruin anything about this feild... simply trying to get info about it so that I could go out and play and after trying all the available options i.e. email, website, and phone with no success I decided to post what I had found out.
I just got off the phone with the owner. 1) yes the field is open 2) the owner was having trouble with his nextel which he explianed was mostly likely the cause of me not getting through and 3) the link does NOT work. He is changing his web address and the new one is not up yet. (These words are directly from the owner)
The link below is to a screen shot of the blank page that I just pulled up when clicking on the link. I have included it for anyone that wants to dispute that it's working.

Last but not least... for whatever reason the website doesn't display in Firefox which is what I use instead of internet explorer. I haven't had this problem before. So if your using Internet explorer the website displays. If you use firefox the website is blank as it is in the screen shot posted above.

This feild is closed or something
The phone number is disconnected. The website is not functioning and the emails I have tried to send have been rejected.
This info is currect as of 3/31/06
I have to put more words in here so I'm trying to eat up some space. I really think that if someone is going to close a feild they should communicate that is some way but then again it's closed for a reason maybe lack of communication is one reason. I hope this is enough words......| Last edited on Monday, April 3rd, 2006 at 3:51 pm PST |

I would like to say a few things about the Xtreme Combat Zone. I went there for a tourney last weekend and I was mislead by the information on their web site. 1st i thought that it was a speedball field. Secondly there wasnt as many teams there as the tourney stated. Another thing is tht on the day we went it was very rainy and to get to the course you have to go down a very steep hill and since it was raining i fell and slid down the hill a few times( THIS COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS). |
