I found this place on PBjunke and its a nice place. The people there are great. The fields are nice and are only getting better. Me and my friends have been going there nearly every weekend since our first visit.
-People -
Saluda Paintball is run by "Country" and he is a great guy and will help ya with whatever you need. The other staff I've seen and met there are also great and very friendly.
-Price -
Most fields I've read about are a bit overpriced.. Saluda Paintball is not. You've got 3 choices of paint .. White Box, Medium Grade, and Premium. All day Air is $10. And field fee is $10. I usually don't go over 40 in one day.
-Fields -
They've got various Woodsball fields that have different setups and one nice speedball course.
-Woodsball -
The woodsball courses vary in terrain. I suggest playing the back field near the "hog trap". It is long and has lots of large trees and a very large hill on the right side and is my personal favorite.
I've yet to play all the fields and don't know all the names of them yet.. so I'll provide better info soon.
-Speedball -
I'm not big into Speedball so I can't critique here.
-Reffing-
The Refs are great and very fair. Safety is handled very well, blockers are checked on every gun before masks are allowed to be taken off after a game.
- Overall -
All my experiences there have been great.. I can't give Saluda Paintball a 9 because it gets better everytime I go. I'm giving them a 10 because they never stop impressing me. | Last edited on Sunday, October 15th, 2006 at 6:33 pm PST |

I play in a senerio game the had called Pirates Of Saluda, my team won. Country is a good person he showed me around the feilds, and anwserd all my guestions. Good prices on both air, and paint. Good staff. The feilds are good and have the right kind of bunkers. |

This is defintely a top of the line field. It is located on the ground of a summer camp for teenagers. You can see the cabins and some of the buildings driving down to the paintball fields. I arrived at 9:30 and the staff and everyone was there and ready to go. They have an awesome staging area right on the banks of the Saluda River. Plenty of tables and pic nic tables to put your stuff on. We started playing at 10:00 and we played ALL DAY LONG!!! I was so tired.
They have a tent down at the staging area where they sell snacks and drinks from. Very good prices. This is also where you register and buy paint and get your tanks filled. During the day we played a load of different games. Everything from center flag to attack and defend. They even mixed in a little speedball in to break up the day in the woods. Let me tell you about the woods.....They have TONS!!!! We never even got to play the "King of the Hill" field. We ran out of daylight.
The prices are very reasonable with field paint at $45.00 a case. The also have premium paint at $55.00 a case. The paint was great. I had one or two break in the barrel all day long. The staff is outstanding and extremely friendly. The referees were awesome. They will call someone out in a second and they dont put up with any cheating. Country is the guy that runs the place. Nicest guy ever. He gave me a free mountain dew. I saw him give 0-rings to people and help to fix markers and didn't see him charge a dime. The only down side to this field is that it is extremely new and they are still adding on to the fields.
In the next few months this is going to be the best field around in my opinion. If you love woodsball, this is the place to go. They are still working on speedball fields but they do have one airball field that is pretty sweet. So overall...
awesome facilities!
good fields (getting better)
incredibly nice staff
great prices
and i will be back!
Thanks for a great time guys! |
