Review: I had been to this field twice before i played there. i had gotten my N2 tank filled so i could test my gun. But when i first went there i saw this massive X ball field right at the end of the drive. To my knowlege then there was only 2 fields (from what i could see there are actually like 7 fields 3 woods, 2 inflateable, and two home depot stuff). They had the Xball field and they had a field to the left of it where there was a bunch of old home depot things like door frames that were filled in and stuff...

Now to when i actually played. i went there and it was kinda cold it was november one of the last weeks before closing... i wated around for about 20 min (i was there early) untill some other people showed up. There ended up being 4 of us total playing. which was nice for my first time playing any thing with out my friends at my throat about wipeing paint. But we ended up hitting almost all of the fields except the home depote fields.

The guy that was incharge for the day was really nice a couple of his buddies came out and they sat around a small fire while we played... there was only one ref (probably because it was getting close to closing for the winter) but he was a teen that knew alot about paintball and probably played regularly there. They only made us chrono once. i guess they trusted us. most of the time we were there we messed around in the xball field only because the ref made some crazy rules just to have some amusement.

over all the place was great. the paint wasnt the best it was rec ball stuff but it was the cheapest stuff they had (about $60) and it came in a package with all day air and entry.

when i went to get my tanks filled the times before there was a bunch of teens there with high level guns waiting to pwn some noobs. They all seemed nice, i talked to a few about there guns and stuff. while i was waiting i watched a bunch of fat kids with rentals get beat down by some skinny little kids with spyders. it was funny. the whole place has a light hearted feel so it was a pleasent place to play.

Im a teen so playing with kids my age was exilent although half the field was under water at the time from melted snow.
i recomend it!

Review: Pros:
-Clean: The facility is well kept, staging area is immaculate, field has no debris and bunkers are in good shape.
-Great Customer Service: Calvin (field manager) and Mike (Head ref, and general gun tech and good guy) are both VERY friendly. Calvin is new to paintball but he has caught on very quick and by the end of the season was hanging in there with the big guys. Mike is a character, very good at paintball, very funny, extremely nice, extremely knowledgable.
-Price: I go on sundays and it is 60 bucks for a case, entry, and all day air.
-Great Competition: Alot of tournament players play there, most of them are fairly good which makes me raise my game to compete with them, it is very good practice
-Lots of choices: Not only do they have a great X-Ball field, they also have 3-4 other Woods ball / Scenario fields, all are very well kept and fun to play.

Cons:
-No proshop: Over the winter they are supposed to be getting things together for one to open in the spring!
-No Indoor: Again talk was going around that they may be moving the speedball indoors in the spring of 07
-Frequency of games: Some times the reffs will get lazy and start BSing with customers and forget about starting another game. But if you go out and yell that u want to start a game thne head to the field, everyone follows you and another game begins. This only happends maybe once during the day, usually towards the end.

This is my favorite field to play at, most knowledable staff, friendly people, good competition, and an all around good time. I HIGHLY recommend you go and check it out, its a blast.

Review: I recently brought a co-ed group of about 20 ppl to this field for an activity through my local venture crew. we arrived around 10 and played up to about 4. first off i will state that this field was very good. they had numerous fields we played on. whenever we finished a game Jason (the owner) and his manager (im blanking on a name right now) were there to answer any questions and help in any way they could. the first field we played was their airball/x ball field. this was a very good field. it was very much like a pro field. the only complaint i had with this field was there were some places where the ground was a little uneven. the next field we played was their woodsball field. this field was pretty good. they had bunkers set up that came in very handy. the last field we played was their "city" field. here they had 50 gallon barrels and little house like structures set up to simulate an urban environment. the action in this field was very fast which made it very fun and exciting. overall my group and i enjoyed the x ball field the most. the refs where very good and on top of things. they werent too intrusive to the point where they would slow down gameplay but they kept everything in order. as i stated earlier jason and his manager were very helpful. they ordered food for us when we requested it and had drinks on hand for sale to us when we were thirsty. the only thing i didnt like so much about this field was the cost of their paint. it ran i believe at 65 a case which isnt too bad but its not the best ive seen at a field. overall i give this field a 9.5 but since i have to pick one number ill go with nine for excellent service and a great field.

Review: I've gotten to play here twice in the last couple months as the field is opening up.

Short answer about the field is its real cool now, but give it 3 or 4 months to finish building everything and it'll be great.

Slightly Longer answer.
Right now they've got 4 rec/woods ball fields up and running and 1 supair (3man I think)field set up. Allegedly when everything is all done they'll have another supair, an xball (they have all the xball bunkers allready just need to get the nets up around the field) and a domed tournament field.

The 4 rec fields they have are kinda a mix, two of them Bayou and Predator are decent fields that would only need a little bit of work, or a lot more people playing on them to chop up some of the annoying little brush stuff to make the fields a lot more playable and more enjoyable (predator needs more bunkers).

The normandy field needs a lot of work, I can see the vision they have for the field but until they can get the bunkers moved around and the trenches drained its a waste of paint. I played quite a few games on that field and every game the attackers got bogged down and the defenders had to leave the bunker they were supposed to be defending to root them out, the defenders always won though.

The other field (can't remember the name started with an S) was fantastic, its mostly open with lots of tall grass and a few long mounds of dirt that serve as bunkers. At first glance it looks kinda boring and not too great. But play it just once and you'll love it. It plays a little faster than most recball fields, but its not too fast for most players to adjust too. Its just loads of fun, was the favorite for everybody in my group.

Now for the other important stuff. The staff is incredible, they are all really nice people, with a good knowledge of the game and the functionality and common problems with at least all the markers my group was using. They go above and beyond to make the game that much more enjoyable for the people who are there playing (they cleaned my goggles between games more than once) Really super people on the staff there.

The downsides: no proshop yet so their stock of on-hand parts is kinda limited (a decent shop is on the way though), bathrooms are porta johns which while they were called "luxurious" by one of the girls out there, will get real old about halfway through the season, oh and they sell water and Gatorade for a buck but the Gatorade is a little midget Gatorade so bring your own drinks.

So once again, lot of fun now, one of the more enjoyable paintball experiences I've ever had. But I can see a lot more potential for the field as soon as its all the way done.

Review: When i got there i didnt see much in the way of buildings, but there were a bunch of noobs for me to shoot, so it was enjoyable, and the prices are very nice too, 55 for case/air/entry isnt bad at all, only thing that is better is Team Night at atomix, but it is only 4 hours long, all in all it was fun and i cant wait for the indoor, see everyone 12/22 at atomix, 7pm-12am, same price as POO for paint entry/air, once poo has indoor i will never go to atomix again, if you guys are looking to hire anymore people hit me up i need a job to cover all the paint my sponsor dont ( <--MOTHER).

Review: I'm originally from Toledo, but have relocated to the Chicago area and have been looking for a good paintball place near T-town. Most of the T-town area fields are ma and pop type places that lack amenities or the know how of modern paintball. I'm used to playing at Challenge Park (amazing scenario fields) and The Badlandz (Home of Chicago's Team Aftershock). Two places that know how to do paintball.

Pev's is new. They opened on the 11/11/05. I decided to give it a try and see if Toledo finally has something worth playing. I went there with a couple of friends the day after Thanksgiving. We spoke with the two owners who were very nice and were also our Refs for the day. They told us they hadn't really planned on opening until spring, but they were able to close on the property sooner than expected, so they decided to do a soft opening with no advertising in order to get things up and running, get kinks worked out, and get employees trained with not so big a of a crowd. They plan on doing a Grand Opening and advertising in the spring when all of the fields are complete. (Currently only four fields are open)

If you don't know anything about Pev's, they are a paintball chain based out of NY and are pretty well known on the east coast. They The Ohio Pev's is a franchise.

I have to say I was impressed. They were very friendly and customer service oriented. These guys want to make money, but they also want us to have a good time and I certainly did have a good time. I have to say that Pev's seems to have customer service nailed.

There are currently four fields open. Two woods fields, a WWII type battle field, and an air ball tournament field. All of them were a blast especially the tournament field, and the WWII battle field.

Pev's has all of the normal things you would expect at a high end paintball field: 4500 compressed air fills, Tippman 98 rental guns, ammo pod rentals, compressed air tank rentals, pro shop, etc...

Paint was cheap for the day as they were doing a BYOP special so I brought a case and purchased two more, one for $60 and the second for $50. This is not their normal pricing however.

UPDATE - 12/28/2005

I had another chance to go to Pev's while I was home for the holidays. Again I must say they were great! This time our Ref's were some young kids. I'm guessing they were about 16. They were very friendly and we got alot of games in. Prices were great as well. It seems they have sdopted the $60 first case $50 there after pricing for paint. Their paint is pretty good quality. I don't remember the brand (draxus maybe) but I had no problems with it. I was shooting an Intimidator and a Pimp and I didn't break a single ball with either gun all day. Pev's is by far the best field in the Toledo area. If you haven't been there give it a try. You won't be dissapointed!

Review: Well, Im hoping this gets better, BUT I went out to play this past weekend and they were open but no one was there (Yes I went to U-do and had a great time) Prices still way to steep for me BUT I ll give it a try. Im hearing about a 100ft x 150 ft bubble on the horizon but 3 on 3 doesn't sound like it will keep everyone involved. Anyways Back to U-do or Bull Creek until these guys get there act together. Prices would have to drop DRAMATICALLY for me to give this place a try consistently. I give it a rating of 5 because I cant rate what I haven't tried. so middle of the road for now.
