This feild is rather good. It is run mainly durring the summer and on weekends by a group of high schoolers. For their age they are very knowledgeable. If you call do not get discouraged by the lady who answers. From what I understand she is a mother of one of the people who run it. She is not that knowledgeable and sometimes does not have all the answers. Unlike many people their age they are not just in to "the newest electro". I was able to get in a few good pump games as well as electro and mech games too. It is nice to go to a field where they don't talk down to you because you are not running a timmy or a dm4/5/6. They run the field safely and are very responsible.
There are 2 fields, one woods ball and one speed ball field. The woods ball field is really large and well set up. It is fun to play. The speed ball field is decent sized. The only problem is that is is on a slight hill. Each team will have the same advantage/disadvantage while playing. But it does make sliding in to the lower bunkers harder because you have the tendency to slide out the other side. The other problem is that the speed ball field is rather far away so if you need a fill you get to walk a while. They do have a 4 wheeler and it makes your fills a little faster. Just make sure to take all the paint you will need with you.
All in all this field is a great addition to North East Iowa. I will be hitting it in the spring as soon as it warms up a little.
Their paint prices are also very reasonable. If I remember correctly it was $60 for a cs of blaze. They also have carry on days too. My only sugestion would be to offer some kind of cheaper paint for $40 a box. I tend to waste paint and I would play even longer if I cold save $20 a case. |
