Paint Ball Brothers- Still building the field so there are not a lot of fortifications. Better for beginner groups because you are not forced to play with the sponsored field team mixed in.
Review: SAFETY: Excellent! All staff and players helped out to ensure the utmost in safety.

FIELDS: Good! The fortifications were numerous, and there was a choice of about 6 different fields. Many of the fields were very small and extremely hard to flank the enemy. There was no 2 story fortifications, which could add a whole new level.

PRICES: Reasonable. Great selection of Paint available.

RULES: Standard. However, if I am paying for a small group, I would like the ability to modify a rule. (gun hits for example) The field owner would not let us change that rule for our group.

SERVICES/ PROSHOP: Excellent help from the staff with gun problems and issues.

REFS: Excellent! These refs are on the sponsored field team. They have a lot of experience and they always had an eye for safety.

PLAYERS: We had a group of 13 players. Many were first timers and some newbies with there own equipment. There were no other groups or walk ons that day. However the sponsored field team was there in force to play, practice, and ref. Our group was not asked if we wanted to play by ourselves. Instead we were forced to take a few of the field's team members on each of the two teams. There were plenty of refs on the field and no other paying customers, so we easily could have seperated ourselves from the veteran field players. We had to wait about 30- 45 minutes between each game while these veteran players tweaked their high maintenance guns and equipment. Only to come back onto the field to be slaughtered by a veteran player with a case of paint and an auto. While it may be fun, I don't think slaughtering a bunch of first timers with rental guns is good practice for competitive team for their upcoming matches. I used to chop up newbies when I was young, but I thought that paintball was getting away from that in order to attract new players.

CONCLUSION: Great field setup, decent prices, great refs, great pro shop, everything about our day would have been excellent. If only we could have played as our own group and the fields sponsored team went to a different area of the field to practice. I do not recommend it for a group of newbies unless you made an agreement with the owners that you could play by yourselves or with other newbies for the day.

Review: This was my first paintball experience and it was a very memorable one. Me and my brother showed up at about 9 am. Shortly after there were about 46 people there 20 however belonged to a private party. The refs were very safe-minded and were focused on your safety for the entire duration of being in the field. The people we played with were very friendly and let us borrow gear etc. They run a great field and have many different scenarios.. they have them posted on their site www.gtfpaintball.com ... for food they have pizza delivered mid day and charge 1 dollar per slice or 6 dollars for the whole pizza (dominos 555). In all... I will definatly looking back.. and hope this is just the begininning of my paintball intrests. This place is awesome and the prices are unbeatable.

Review: I arrived to the field at 9:00am and there were a few people there. I stayed until 1:00pm. I had a great time playing. Most of the people there were practicing speed ball. They invited me to join but I didn't feel I was up for it so I mostly played with the other group. It was a sunday, so there weren't many people there. The owner Robert (pops) was really friendly and walked me over all the fields before play, which was nice since I had not seen the fields. They are planning on adding some more speed ball stuff soon and had a lot of woods ball/speed ball fields. The one large woods ball field was just too big for the small group (5-6 of us) to play on but I am anxious to get back up there on a saturday to give it a shot.

The main ref, Jeff, was very good. He tried to split the teams evenly so that we would have the best competition. He was training a younger guy who made a few questionable calls but it didn't really matter. After the match, we talked about what was happening and I think he will be better next time.

Safety - Some of the best safety I have seen at fields. Netting everywhere. Great for watching. Barrel socks only. No plugs.

They have lots of rental guns and a good air setup. HPA or CO2. What ever you need.

Field paint only. What ever you don't shoot you can bring back next time. They had Zap out there today.

------------------------------------------

The only negative thing that I could see was that parking was a little unorganized. The fields are split by a road. Most people just pulled off to the side.

-----------------------------------------

I'm gonna give them an 8 just because I feel the could be a little more organized when getting ready to play and the parking stuff...

Review: Safety- Guys are really active on this. Safety speech often lots of netting where needed. Very strict on goggles
Fields- Nice woods fields shade is good. Good speedball field ( air bunkers going up now) New village that's fast paced
Staff- pretty professional on the field and lots of fun in the staging area. the watch the newbies good too.
Port-o-pooty- well its a port o john but they keep it clean
Food- They BBQ if wanted and they always have pop and water
Paint- good prices and usually spank which imo is good all around paint (cheap too)
These guys here are cool and Layed back. They keep it cool when groups of kids are there. And let us let loose a bit when it's just the grown folks. I'm going to my first scenario game there in 2 weeks will update after that. Also got a pmr from him and he offers free teching and tuning... Would give a ten but no ones perfect.
9.5 The atmosphere and fields make this a great place for beginners and vets. They where even welcomming to my yankee self.

Low Country Paintball, I love both fields and recommend them both highly.
Directions
to the Field:
If you are coming from 95 North you take exit 373 and take a left at the end of the exit. Keep driving down A1A until you reach Route 17 (Main Street) and take a left. You will take your first right (Pages Dairy Rd) and then take your first left onto Goodbread Rd. Follow that down, it will turn into a dirt road, but keep on it and you will see the sign on your right.
Review: It has built up a lot since I started coming there with my husband early last year before I started playing. The owner and his family are great and so are the refs. They are fair people and you can't beat the prices. It is safe for adults and children to play. They are big on safety and make sure everyone has a good time and stays safe for everyone's sake. They do private parties during the week and they are open from 9am to 5pm on weekends. If you want to have fun you have to come check this field out. My husband and I play there every weekend and we have a blast.

The last field I played at was combat park in GA. Since that one has closed... I feel like my friends and I have found a new home... or field to play at. The people there are great, and they will be seeing a lot more of me around.
Review: This is one of the best experiences I had playing paintball. I had not played in a while, and I went to GTF and had a great time. The refs were fair, and awesome, everyone there was as nice as they could be. The fields were really cool. Three of the fields at GTF are really face paced and really fun once you start playing. The prices are amazing. The gun rentals are good as well if you need to rent. I must give some mad props to Big Jeeezy, man the place you have is awesome and you will be seeing me and my friends for Jacksonville more. I hope everyone who is curious about this place, should go play it at least once, and you will be hooked on the fields I promise you!!!

Thanks GTF Paintball for making one of the best times I ever had playing paintball.

Review: First off I would say as a newer field the owners attitude toward PB, safety, and attracting all forms of players, shows this field has potential.

Safety I would give it an 8. The chrono should have netting separating it from the rest of the staging area, and players should wear their goggles in the chrono area. The refs need to be more proactive with the velocity checks. When most players are using unregulated CO2 their velocities should be checked more often than when someone complains about a hot shot, especially on hot days.

Fields I would give a 7. The 2 speedball style fields are unevenly laid out with a few to many stumps and trees. The DEA house is just a funnel for to opposing forces to meet in the middle and fight it out around a corner.

Staff I would give a 7. The owners have some good ideals and were friendly. The refs need to dial it down a bit they have alot to learn about PB in all it's forms.

to the Field:
Take 17 south towards Fernandina turn left towards the school bus port and Ball field. then take another left and head toward the nursery till it becomes a dirt rd go roughly 30 -50 yards on your rt will be a rd with a metal gate and a sign saying pt ball etc.
Review: First off I wanna start by saying that i am fairly new to pt ball ,my buddy has been trying to get me to go for years So when i finally gave in My first field was and is GTF. I was hooked from the first game on.

My experience with the crew who plays, runs, ownes the field was very inviting being it was my first time.

This last time I played, same thing good all around safety and fun. Most of the payers last time were young kids and they made it very safe for both the young kids and adults.

prices r very fair in my opinion, just wish I had the money to play every weekend ;-).

I love the Dea field very fun, Grenade friendly. I also had a great time On the big 4 acres field Those r my 2 favorites. Cant wait to play soon.
