not the most perfect field, but if you are looking for a good time, and some strategy, it is defenitely for you.
going with a few freinds is fun, but the REAL challenge is when military guys come over from the base area and join in.
THAT's when it gets interesting.
there are two fields:
the speedball; a small affair made up of mostly natural barricades enclosed in a basketball courst sized area.
and the challenge course; a good sized field with four different bunkers in the "corners" of the field and scattered barricades, both man-made and natural.
i have been there at last 20 times and each time was different:
in the winter it is barren and there are not very many bushes to hide behind
in the spring there is so much vegetation that you can barely see across the field standing on a highest dirt mound.
in the summer most of the vegetatio has died down and the only real hazard is the cactus hiding underneath the dying stuff
and in the fall, a great time to go, the weather usually pans out and a nice mist covers the field in the morning (very nice) and in the afternoon it has nice shady areas
an overall great field. |

There are actually two fields of use. There is the scenario/woodsball field and the speedball field. The woodsball field is relatively well-kept. There is a good assortment of different barricades to hide behind with two opposing bunkers on the east and west sides.
I have yet to play in the speedball course, and hope to do so soon. |
