Velocity- a much better field in comparison
Camp pendleton- tottaly hate, just more of a speedball guy
Hollywood paintball- awesome tourney ball
Review: Ok lets get this over with this is not some hardcore speedball place. This is paying $25 dollars for a great day. Im honestly into speed ball way more than woodsball, but i liked this place.
Refs: not the most proffesional ever but are nice guys
fields: a blend of speedball, woodsball, and hyperball, love the village one of my favorite fields ive been too
Prices: $25 for all day air and admission, thats my kind of deal, paint is over priced though just like at the other placess ive been to, not too bad though, food is a rip you pay 15 for a pizza that costs 5 there
Table area: tables are dirty and have dirt on them, i dont reccomend stripping your gun on one of those tables, will get everything messed up
Rules: NO BUNKERING!, theres some surrender rule where if your in 10 feet you have to offer a surrender, really hate that rule, they got rid of the having to use thier paint rule!
There policys on in play rules are normal you have to chrono your gun to 250fps before you hit the field.

Summary: a good field with a few minor flaws

Review: Mr. Piantball is agreat place to go for any paintballer. The fields vary from speedball to woodball to one place called trenches which is just what the name sounds like. The new airball field in now open. Groups go there sometimes and you can always get a game going with some of the players. The size of groups is from 20-30 and there is enough room for everyone. The cost is 25 and you get free air with that. The field fps is 250 so they chono for you. Lunch can be bought for 15 a pizza, but escondido is 5 minutes away so you can go there. Also with raza Park inside Mr Paintball you have four tournament fields combined. This place is good for the beginner to the advanced for the many fields, small groups, and great air fields.

Update.
Also forgot to mention about the owner. He's a nice guy and is understanding to paintball players. I just went there today and it was raining. there wasn't really anyone there so they gave my free entry and air the next time i come. $25 value. That is just an example.

Review: This was my 1st time to Mr. Paintball USA and I can say my 12 year old son and I truly enjoyed our Sunday. I’m getting a little long in the tooth so I only played 4 fields, but the variety between them was appreciable. My knees are still sore from moving around on some (all?) of the sloped fields, but that’s more an issue w/ me than the average player. The park wants folks to run down in the 250 fps range so if you have a chrono at home like I do you can dial your markers in before arriving. If not the refs have the gear & knowledge to help you set up your markers speed. The sufficiently netted range is right next to the 25+ covered tables and has fun metal targets to plink at between matches. Also available by the tables are a pair of hand washing stations and a table equipped w/ mask cleaning spray bottles & tissue paper. Free all day air & CO2 for those that have their own gear & paintballs for $25. I didn’t check out the rental gear too closely, but a nice feature is the availability of a full jumpsuit for those that want to protect what they wore to the field.
Both private parties and walk-on’s were playing Sunday w/o issue as the refs used radios to co-ordinate field play. A large, 20+, group of airsoft guys were also playing, but I don’t know if they were walk-on or private party. To a man they were equipped to the nine’s; Mil-Sim digital desert cami’s, belts & vests, real wood stock AK-47 replica’s, M-16’s, etc. It was pretty impressive, but really, what’s up with that?! :D People think I’m over-the-top because I wear a holstered TAC-8 pistol, but I was just not in these guys league.
We didn’t play a single capture the flag game as all contests were elimination. If the game starts to drag the ref will begin a countdown to hurry it along, and I agree w/ this field management strategy. Play is the usual thing
1. walk to the field as a group
2. split up to numerically equal sides
3. discuss any lingering issues/ field specific questions
4. walk to respective corners of field
5. ref checks w/ teams & starts game
After the game, teams swap sides and repeat play. Then everyone heads back to the tables to get more ammo & air. Repeat until field closes.
All the walk-on’s initially played together regardless of experience, marker type or ability. I’m not a big fan of this in general, but the more experienced/better equipped players handled themselves well, no trash talking, not overly aggressive/combative, trying to help the newb’s forward, etc. The walk-on’s were split up in the late morning into beginner/advanced groups because the # of players was finally big enough to allow it.
Overall I had a very positive day w/ my fellow competitors. I recommend this field and hope to see you there soon.

Review: Even though both times i was at the feild, the one thing i wanted to do most, airball, was not up, Mr. Paintball USA is a great place to paintball. Here are the Pros and Cons. Pro: -The staff are very friendly, and they helped me with any problems i had. -The feilds were a lot of fun. Even though some were pretty small, it was still a lot of fun to play them. -The prices were very reasonable. -I had tons of fun right when i went into the park. Cons: The only major problems i had was it was hot, dirty, and, well... hot. But if you are looking for a great place to paintball, then i highly sujest you go to Mr. Paintball USA today!

I have only played mr.paintball and my friend's woodsball courses (he has forest property)
Directions
to the Field:
by lake wholford and sort of near valley center, my house is like 2 miles from the place so i go there all the time.
Review: Good Things: Refs are pretty nice and cool---I love the courses because I love woodsball and scenario---foxholes is practically legendary in my terms---trenches gives you a feel of real combat---25 dollars entry and all day air (I bring my own paint)--- the owner is a pretty cool guy, he helped me when my gun was malfunctioning one time and let me use his tools--- many tables to put your gear on--- a test range to see how your gun is doing--- on slow days(holidays) its fun because you can play against same people and harass them--- on busy days(weekends) theres lots of people and you can sometimes get to play your own matches with the ref's permission--many courses! sort of

Bad Things: the bathroom is a port-a-potty(so crap at your house before you leave)--- lunch is a ripoff(15 dollars for pizza which costs 5 dollars at the place they buy it from) so bring your own lunch--- theres often noobs there who rent and they are annoying when they are on your team because they are afraid to move up to another bunker!!--- some courses you have to walk kinda far to get to.--- the tables area is messy, so if your taking your gun apart on a table be careful not to get its insides dirty.

Review: They are a somewhat smaller operation of paintball. They have one tourney field right now and its way oldschool. There airball field got popped or stolen or something. They have alot of woodsball stuff which im not all into but i hear their setup on that is pretty good. NEW NEWS- YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY THEIR CRAPPY FIELD PAINT ANYMORE, 25 DOLLARS ENTRY FOR THE SELF-EQUIPPED PLAYER AND YOU CAN BRING YOUR PAINT FROM ANYWHERE. that's about the only good news Escondido paintballers have heard in a long time. they have a new field coming in also they removed spools and it is being replaced with a regulation sized nppl level turf 5 or 7 man airbunker field to attract teams and serious ballers just they are taking a while to finish it. I recommend you try it once and if you don't like it whatever.

Velocity-good players recomend if good...
Review: This is a pretty awesome place. But its a bit expensive... that is if you follow the rules. The rules say you gotta buy there crappy paintballs. But its a good idea to just mabey buy 500 rounds of theirs and then bring your own.
The refs are ok, kinda of funny not to profesional, but they make the game fun and exciting still.
Their fields are pretty good. The best one is probally the village. Very awesome to play 4 vs. 4 at that field.
Players arent that good. So if your really good I dont recomend going there unless you just want to own everybody... pretty boring.

All I really know about is Velocity, down in Ramona, and Camp Pendelton (or however you spell it.)
Directions
to the Field:
It's hard to miss the entrance because it is hidden behind a large wall, just go slow in that area and be prepared to turn quickly.
Review: Prices: Well, the entrance fee is around $20, if you don't come self-equipped. That includes free air, and CO2 all day except for lunch, which they don't fill the tanks anyways. Paint starts at $45 bucks on the field (but more on the paint later.) The whole list to their prices is on their site, just look it up on Google or something.

Paint: I would highly suggest that you do NOT buy paint from Mr. Paintball, wether it be the store or field. The $45 paint is older than dirt, and can make your day quite miserable. After playing for a while, my Empire Reloader B was just a paint blender. I had to completely tear it apart in order to clean it fully. And the sad thing was, I wasn't the only person having these problems! A good 5 people already sent in paint 2-3 times before me. And when I went to replace the balls, he had no other cheap paint, so I had to get the next grade up. The owner would't give me te next grade unless I payed another $5 (I had only 1500 then), and he only gave me 1000! So I would recommend getting paint at Gogged Paintball on Valley Parkway, if you are heading toward the field, it's on the right.

Refs: While they are a bit slow between games, they do get the games done. I play Intermediate, so we usually play on their Tournament style field and this one with Spools on it. They used to have a field with Air bunkers on it, but they never filled them enough, so I don't think it's used anymore.

Safety: I have never seen anyone get injured while I was there, and I have played on their potentially dangerous fields. Although, there are places that could possibly be fixed so this stays true.

Fields: There are (or have been) an assortment of fields to play on Mr. Paintball USA. For the scenario players, they have about 4-5 fields set up (or they did when I was only a newbie), and a good 3 fields for the tourny style players. It does get stale for the tourny players, but you can't lose interest while playing 5 v 5 rather than 20 v 20 o nthe same field. :)

I rated this field an 8 mostly because of the slow down times, (and long ass lunch break) and because of the crappy paint. But that doesn't stop me from going!

P.S. Forgot to mention, I don't remember the last time I went, so the date is off.

Review: Overall I really liked it, the course says field paint only, but they dont really follow up, just bring your own paint they dont care... The staff is very nice and the refs were excellent on calling and rules, but we didnt really like him cuz he took like a 10 minutes break everytime we finished a game (we had a private party) It was a great overall field, but the previous review writer is correct, I heard it was under new management and the field seemed really slow. You had to trudge about 1/2 a mile in full gear to get to 3 of the courses from the staging area and the pizza delivery nearby was really bad... The fields they did have we're pretty awesome but my friends who went there already noticed some bulldozers and about 2 acres of freshly paved land and were pretty upset - - -

**News Flash**
About 2-3 of the fields were paved, I dont know why, but they're gone...
