Other Fields
in the Area:
There are no other commercial paintball fields in the Timmins area (meaning run by a business with FULL INSURANCE and SAFETY COVERAGE).
There are other fields in the North
Sudbury - Dodge This Paintball : runs a tournament series which is nice, smaller speedball fields but has a couple more paintball fields, higher prices than Timmins
North Bay - Pyramid Paintball : about the same size speedball field however the ground is not as nice (bumpy not as smooth or rut free). But this is a new field and we wish Dustin lots of luck, he does have a fort for attack and defend games however.
Directions
to the Field:
Turn at Timberland Ford to go by the river. Take the small 1 lane bridge across the river. Keep going till you see the larger lot, turn and go through the fence. You will drive by the driving range first. Then keep going and you will see the paintball fields, mini putts and go carts. Park and play!
Review: First this is one of the best located fields in any city I have ever played in. First you are right in town, bus service practically to it. You also have Mini Putts (2), Go Carts, and a driving range at the same facility so families can definitely have fun regardless what they are looking for.

well run and established field. Owners have been involved in paintball for quite a while. No the pro-shop is small compared to big Toronto stores but they do carry a variety of items from lower end items and small tools/parts to higher end equipment, masks, tanks. Plus if they don't have it they can get you a price and order it in if you want.

Full insurance and safety coverage. Netting protecting the spectators and people not playing but watching. Easy to take pictures of games going on or just to watch. Picnic tables to stage off of and sit at. Full fill station for Co2 or HPA (High Pressure Air/Nitro) regardless what you need.

They have 3 fields and more being build (I believe there is a 4th field already done now). A large sized speedball field setup called X-Ball (because of the gigantic X in the middle). The local sponsored teams set it up and help change the layouts on it. plus a small speedball/sup/air field, also a village field. I believe they now have a bush field setup as well. So you definitely have some variety to play at. Plus they can play different game styles to help you enjoy your time there.

Staff is extremely friendly and helpful especially Vic and Paula, great people to deal with.

Pricing is actually cheap compared to fields in Toronto/Montreal/Ottawa area and if not cheaper than North Bay and Sudbury too. Rentals I believe are $25 and you can also get free balls if you have a big enough booking. Paintballs are $30 per bag of 500, so very cost effective. Plus you can buy memberships for people who own their own gear or just rent gear (various pricing). And that even helps you buy paintballs cheaper too.

Tournaments are held there as well for those who are interested in that. Many of the local players are very friendly and helpful. The more experienced ones even run practices and clinics to help players improve their skills and learn from the basics to more advanced techniques.

I definitely love this field and recommend it to anyone we know. I know already teams from Sudbury and North Bay who come to practice there.

If your comming from the mall on Riverside take a right hand turn at the ford dealer its right after the bridge. You will then get to another bridge cross it and on the right hand side you will se the gates to the park

When on riverside if your at Pizza Hut look accross you can see it
Review: They offer 3 types of paintball. Speedball, woods ball and the villiage all three are fun to play on and the speed ball is set up to tournament grade with a giant X in the middle. Feild safty is a must when you are here when on the feild mask must stay on at all times. their hours arnt to bad they usually close on rainny days and some times it seems like on sunny days they should stay open longer but they only have 2 employees working there it seems ever. Pricing is not to bad things you need are usually the same price as badlands and the paints fair compaired to some feilds . although walmart is always cheaper same as CT but the paints not as good. prices for rentals are kinda high considering where we live its $125 for 2 people to rent and play with only 500 balls for the two of them or 250 each so for 2 mins of speed ball lol they should mark it down since sudbury is only $45 for one player with 500 balls to himself and thats the closest feild in caliber they dont have much you can buy from off the wall they have very little on display to buy which kinda sucks cause you dont want to order something in then find out you dont like it. Refs are good and well theres only one vic hes a good guy who loves his paintball. Players well you will find the most playing on the weekends weather permitting and well for food and beverages well there is none to buy there so that kinda sucks as well . A added bonus is the go cart track so if you are not into paintball bu still have to come theres always the go carts for you or mini putt as well with two courses.
so heres my grading
Pricing: 6/10 could be better with pricing on balls and rentals considering the size of town.
Feild: 10/10 since they have a game play for everyone.
Staff and Refs: 8/10 since they need more staff then just the 2 buyt the staff they do have is good.
Safety: 10/10
Proshop/ sevices: 5/10 since you dont have much to look at and buy all you have are 2-3 BT guns thats it and pricing on some things are a little rediculous.
So the park as a whole I would have to give it a 6 cause it could be a lot better with the proper managment

Head down the Kamiskotia road then take the first right. Head down the road for a few minutes and you'll see a sign with RapidFire on it, turn left then just follow the road.
Review: Awesome field! Paul, the owner, just bought a new supair field and installed netting all around. So much better now!! The woods field is getting an entire make over with new bunkers and the village is pretty badass too. If you want to have a fun time in Timmins, going to Rapidfire is the thing to do. If your a tourney player, supair is usually up every weekend and quite a few of us regulars are down playing. So just come by and say Hi!. Everyone who helps run the field, including Paul, are totally kick ass people, its not just a business for them, its all about playing paintball and everything that happens is for us, the players. Great field, great people and fun times. Rapidfire is the way to go!!
