I went to this place last weekend and i have only on word. WOW! This place is great and very affordable. They had one x-ball field a 3-man NPPL and hyperball. they have enough refs to have 2 at each field and the fields are great. there is no build up of paint and grass is perfect. I highly recomend this field paint is cheap $35 a box i think and service is great. They have over 1000 acers and are preparing to build more fields to hold tournaments.
I give this field a perfect 10 out of 10 |

After coming to school in august 07, i played a practice at kohns with my team before a tournament. The field had undergone a management change and had one xball field and a woods course.
Less than 3 months later, after practicing almost every week there, the field has improved considerably. While all aspects were good during my first visit, the field has REALLY come around. There are now 2 xball fields, one full scale NPPL field, an excellent hyperball field, and a well set up woodsball course. There are usually enough refs to have at least 2 per field, food and drinks are affordable and plentiful, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and Jim (the Owner), does an excellent job of making sure everything runs smoothly. There is always a good mix of Tournament players and recreational players.
The short story is that this field is excellent in every aspect! |

This field is pretty good it is very kepted up, there is no build up of paint laying around on the ground and the bunker are kept clean. Another good thing about the park is that the pro shop is willing to see problems with your equipment. There is also fresh food and drinks sold for a pretty reasonable price. one thing i like alot is that player are really nice and give you advice to improve your game and they help you with safety by reminding you to keep your mask and barrel cover on. There are so bad thing about the place too for instance, there is never enough refs at the field, they only have about one or two refs there every Saturday and Sunday, and they are always running back between speed-ball and woods-ball. So since there not enough refs most of the time players start reffing games. Another bad think is that the refs don't circulate the field so all the experienced players stay on one field and won't let any rec players on the field. The safety is pretty good refs remind you not 2 take your mask off when your on the filed but most of the time players notice it before the ref does because they are not paying any attention. One of the things i hate most about the field is that the refs call you a out for a bouncer they don't even paint check or anything I get mad every time this happens. : > [ |

The first time i went to this field it was very enjoyable but after this time i doubt i will be back.
Pros- Nice Clean Fields no build up of paintballs on the ground, green grass, and clean bunkers. Two Woods ball Fields.
Cons- This place is run by kids. Its stupied when all the refs dont want to be there dont start any games and when they do they stack the good people on the same team against people with rentals. and to top it off after i was walking off the field i herd the ref telling the regulars were the other teams players were to shoot them. Then to top the whole thing off by the time my friends got there to play some THE FIELD WAS OUT OF PAINT!?? How is it a paintball field runs out of paint? there wasent more then 15 people playing today and they ran out of paint. From the time i got at 11 and left at 3 i played maybe 4 games it was so rediculous that there was only one ref on duty all day.

Follow the instructions on the site- mostly. If you came from the I4 directions, and took a right on CR672, the field is on the left- the drive-way before Hill's Dirt Pit. If you took a left on CR672, from the I75 directions, the field is on the right, the drive-way after Hill's Dirt Pit. |

Hours: 0900 - 1600 Saturday and Sunday (Other days for special events or private parties.)
Fields: Four fields in total- two with inflatable bunkers 'speedball,' 'X-ball,' 'airball,' etc. Two are woods. I played on both woods fields. It's mostly attack and defend, with a two-story tower on either field. Normally you play on one or the other, but they have opened up both for larger groups at times. Watch out for thorns- it is a wooded area. Field '2' is more overgrown and thus provides much better cover, but both are fun.
Employees/Refs: Awesome people. Very friendly. Ref was always willing to do a paint check, even if he had to run through suppressive fire to do pull a check. 'Pro-shop' was decently stocked, but I broke a feed neck and sadly, they didn't have any at the time.
Players: It seems that at times the 'professionals,' didn't want to take it down a couple of notches for the new players, but overall, most of the other players were very friendly, and ready to have fun.
Facilities: Mini-Mobile portable trailer for fees and the 'pro-shop.' One 'portable outhouse.'
Food: Freshly cooked burgers, hot dogs, and fries, as well drinks are available. The prices escape me, but I remember they were reasonable. ($2.00 for a 1/2 liter bottle of Gatorade, for example. Could be better, but I've seen worse...)
Final Score: 9.23 / 10
Admission is a little much if you BYOP, but I didn't knock points off for that. The 'players' section had no weight in this score. Lost 'pointage:' Attack and defend is great, but I'd like to see something else- capture the flag, search and rescue, something. Adding a little 'theme' to everyday woodsball makes it even more fun. The store! Feed necks are some of the most common items players have trouble with. Keeping some in stock would definitely garner some extra funds, as well as please more customers.
Will I go again? Even though it's over an hour drive, for me, to get there, I'd go again. |

It's been a long time since i've had such a bad experience at a field. Although there were many good things as well.
Pros- There were two speedball fields, and one woodsball field that was running today. Paint is a good price. There was food and drinks as well.
Cons- This field was purchased by a new owner, and is now turning into legends. Rumor has it that the refs that used to work there quit. The ref we had was horrible. He was new, so i can't be hard on him for that. But he was never at the fields. Most of the games that were played had to be started by the players. Since there were no refs present most of the time, a lot of cheating was going on. People were wiping left and right. It was absolutely rediculous. Again, this only happened because there was only one ref, working both fields, and he was never ever there.
The bunkers were not inflated all the way. Infact, most of them were so deflated that people were moving them and using them as shields. People sat in them using them as bean bags in between games. One game, the whole bunker tipped over, allowing three of us to nail one guy that was hiding behind that bunker.
The field was very poorly taken care of, which made the experience with the cheating and the absolute unorganized game play even worse.
And the Rules.... What Rules? No one every cared about the rules. The new ref, that i was talking about would take his mask off on the field! After one of the games we were waiting for other players, and the ref took his mask off, and so did five other people on the field, while people were testing their guns ten feet away. There were no rules being enforced what so ever. No one ever explained any of the rules to me the whole time i was there. Safety was at an all time low.
I will not go back to this field for a very long time. If the new owner actually decides to put some time and effort into keeping things organized i would come back every weekend. I liked the field layouts, but they were very poorly taken care of. If these things change then I would definately go back.

The road in isn't that bad but it is dirt. 3 Fields: X ball, NPPL, and Woods. I didn't go on the Woods field but the other two were nice. Food and Drinks were available and the Staff is helpful. I give it an 9 but im sure it will soon be a 10 as they have room for 2 more air-ball fields and the only down side is they currently only have 2 air-ball fields. The grass is nice and i understand their planning on adding lights for later hours. Check it out you wont be disappointed. |

I like Hi techs fields better and safety. But the really good thing about kohn sports is when ever you are ready to go play a game you can and at least one ref will come with you, so you dont have really long wait times. |

Fun only two fields set up when I went plus the woodsball. They have two woodsball fields but they really only use one because the other one they said has bananna spiders all over it. Another problem no one really went over rules or anything especially with all the new players and they werent the strongest spoken to enforce it the time I was there there was kids and adults shooting off there guns everywhere instead of just by the chrono. The paint we got was 45 dollars but it was pretty bad 689 had my insert in and had a bunch of balls throught the day that just exploded because they were to big. Best thing about this place is how you can play whatever field as soon as you want with who you want |

Plenty of refs. Plenty of people to play.Down side was not having assorted paint. paint was a little expensive. they had food. which was cool. an ok proshop.safety was great. if my daughter can walk around an not get hit then its a plus.people can watch the games while there being played. overall i give it my blessing.. good job.. |

This is the only field I've played at in Florida. |

The only word I can think of right now to accurately describe my experience at Kohn Sports today is "WOW!". I'm visiting Florida for vacation, and brought my gear with me so I could test out new fields. Where I'm from (Houston), the recreational players are usually never allowed to play on the air ball fields...Kohn Sports was MUCH different. They let anyone play on any field, the staff is very friendly, and there's a wide variety of players, from all different skill levels. There was never a point where a ref wasn't around. There was no trouble starting games, as the refs were there ready to do their job. The reffing was very fair, and they were all over the field. The refs here were VERY nice, which is different from the stuck up 12 year old punks that I'm used to dealing with at other fields. The fields were VERY nice. No rocks ANYWHERE. Perfect for sliding, etc. Not only do they have amazing air ball fields, but they have very well maintained woodsball courses, as well. The main difference I noted about Kohn Sports, which is different from other places I've played was the price. They have the best priced paint I've ever seen at a field. They sell good brand paint at good prices. All of their stuff was very well kept, and everyone there was nice. |
