Very friendly staff that actually knows about Paintball, that's always good. Competition is decent and on the most part everyone is usuall y real cool. As long as you pay attention to the rules you will have a good time. Great hamburgers for lunch, the prices are little high but that's ok, when your hungry your hungry! They always have enough air , 4500, freakin great! Be ready for a work out cuz the hills are rough, so if your not in shape keep going you will be...The only gripe i actually have is group of people that show up every weekend from a Place called Paintball World, ther the biggest bunch of B******* i've ever seen. Omar and this Fat kid and i mean Fat kid are like the biggest cry babies and they suck. Omar is way to old to be playing, i think he's about 70, seriously! But if you can stay out of there way you'll have fun. |

Lemme break this down for you.
Refs - Well, I shouldn't pluralize this, there was only one ref per field. But this is like most California fields so far. More to come on this.
5 out of 10
Safety - Behind the nets = goggles on. Saw lots of people take em off betwen games but the refs let it slide. It makes me nervous, but I won't personally take em off anywhere near an unplugged marker. Other than that, ramping and semi are allowed.
Not rated
Fields - Lots to choose from. Each field has a different feel and pace. Beautiful valley opposite the field. Ample bunkers in each field that varies from tires, spools, pallets, buses, buildings, towers, etc. If you wanna play speedball, bring some friends and scrimmage some really good teams. That hill, wow. You'll get strong legs if you play here every weekend.
9 out of 10
Air - 4500 PSI all day! God bless America!
10 out of 10
Staff - Friendly up front customer service. Handy with the questions and polite with the kids.
9 out of 10
Staging area - They even have rentable private areas for you and your friends, what more can you ask for?
9 out of 10
Overall - No ref wants to harp about masks, but it's part of the job. Keeping the customer happy is one thing, but let the games and the fields do that. Keeping them safe is the real job of a ref. 8.4 overall. I really enjoyed the games, though. |

When I came there they had the best staff and refs one kid let another kid borrow his gun then didnt find him so hetold a ref and that ref started searching for anyone with that gun. They have people that actually know paintball gun. The make burgers and hotdogs on the weekend and the drinks go really fast so you have to get it before the end of the day. The paintballers there are nice and friendly and all of the staff.I just wonder why dont they let you play in the speedball field. |

This park has a great precense on its website but it gives you high expectations. When you first go to the park you pay and go find a table to set up. It is very nice and shaded. There are private stations for rent also. This is a great place for playing speedball and hyperball. The scenario fields are fun to play but some are very intense. On busy days, the games can have up to 50 people per team, which is CRAZY!! One thing I rant about is that there are many private games that use most of the park so you cant play where you want, you have to follow the walk-ons. I would recommend this to experts and beginners. This is a fun park but can have a better system of haveing people play more games and be able for us to choose where we want to play. Defenitly try this place out for a change just like I did. I was satisfied but it wont replace my hometown favorite park. HAPPY PAINTBALLING :P |

safety,
I dont remember them having to go through an orientation about the rules but no one was really causing any safety issues for them to excersise this.
fields,
These guys had a lot of fields that were all really cool and special in their own way.(terminator field!) There were at least 8 i believe.
services,
I was usuing a rental at the time and this was sad because i got 2 almost empty CO2 tanks till i made the guy go and fill up the tank in front of me. then it was for the most part full.
staff,
The staff was really nice
refs,
Thses refs were really good and really cool about doing their jobs.
players,
idk if these gys that were were regulars or not but they had a serious problem with shooting ppl after they were out. i got shot in the neck after the ref was standing next to me yelling let him out. some of the ppl there are real jerks abt playing but most of them were good ppl.
food
these guys hamburgers were really good their drinks were a bit expensive |

Besides the heat (was pretty close to 100 degrees that day) was a great day. Went as a "walk-on" with a few buddies from work.
PROs:
-$30 for all day entry and all day nitro (3k and 4500 fills) or CO2
-BYOP!!!!
-friendly staff
-fair refs, don't make a big deal about asking for paint checks.
-get TONS of games in.
CONs:
-dirt road up to the field, my lowered truck made it fine but had to take it a little slow.
-HILLS!!! All the fields are a hike up a hill
-Cheaters, you will find them everywhere though. Not blaming the refs though, kinda hard for 3-4 of them to watch a 20-20 game. Got "bonus balled" by the same kid a few times too, got told to "watch my mouth" by his dad but nothing was said by the refs.
Overall though, was a good field. Tried to go to Acton to play that day but they were closed for repairs. And since we were coming from the Antelope Valley, it wasn't that much a a deal to drive a little further. Didn't get to play on the speed ball fields since my buddies don't play speed ball, but they looked like decent setups. 9-10, nothings perfect.....unless someone can find me a free entry, paint, and air field.....| Last edited on Tuesday, June 19th, 2007 at 3:06 pm PST |

The best Refs around and they are very fair. The maintenance/tech staff are genuises and if they cant fix your gu they will give you a free rental for the day. Food is really good really fresh grilled there. hours of operation=9am-4pm. 3 professional speedball fields and like 7 scenario fields. Again the refs are really chill the guy with the dreads is the s***. If you are tired of playing or just want to watch he'll let you start the game with the countdown and if its late in the day and some ppl have left he mite you call some guys out, fairly of course x)

-People are nice

Was only the second time I went paint-balling around castaic.
positives:
The fields were great
refs were friendly
people were friendly and helpful
negatives:
hills to each map
safety (or lack of)
refs
cheating kids (on my team)
first off let me say the fields were very good. all of them had good and bad aspects like most fields, but for me at least, lots of fun, lots of action. the speed-ball course looked good, but i didn't get a chance to go because i was with friends with rentals who didn't want speed-ball.
like i said, the refs were friendly, any questions asked they answered, but at the same time, I didn't feel like they were in charge. in one game I got knocked out early because of a speed rush, and was waiting for the next game. 10-15 minutes pass, go to the ref and ask how much longer. he acts like i reminded him and he says "oh yeah, 5 more mins" this was only 1 time though, rest of the day time was handled well. Also, i don't remember how many refs were on the field most of the time, but I got shot in the neck while moving up and a little kid I don't even know right behind me actully believe it or not, starting rubbing it off saying just wipe it off. I took myself out of the game, but i wouldn't trust someone else to do it, especially the little kids.
also, be prepared for a work-out because you're climbing hills to each map. they might not seem like alot to some, but they wear on you at the end of the day.
and lastly safety.....when i went, there was, none. when i filled out the form, they asked all the basic questions to make sure I knew what I was doing. but after that. there was no one to check guns at the range the whole day. people were walking down the hill with their masks off and the refs passing by didn't say a word. even i'll admit, its actully nice not having the refs telling you every second you have your mask off to clean it when you're waiting before a game, or when you're walking back to your car outside the map, but they're just asking for a injury sooner or later.
with all this said, I still had a great time here. its easy to nitpick all the bad things, but it was a real enjoyable exp. for everyone I went with. if they could get the safety right, it'd be great, but still, i'd go again

CPP is where i played paintball recently, and i guess its where i first started to really play. here my two cents.
Safety:
They are very safe about everything. they make sure your barrell plugs are in and they push the mask rule really well. they not soo strict when it comes to parking lot stuff, cause they know the firing they hear isnt paint firing, but just air and what not. unlike some parks where they hear one shot in the parking lot, they go hitler on you.
Fields:
really cool scenario fields. this is where i like to play speed ball. they have 1 speedball field that is like practically deflated, but me and my friends played on there for a ffa, lol. good times, we did like a 2v2 on that too. my first time playin for my friends party it was like 12v12 on the better speedball field. good stuff. From what i hear, they gettin new fields, so i cant wait!
Hours of opperation:
i guess like any other places (8:00am-4:00pm). I like to get there by 7:30 to get good parking near the shade. right next to the speedball arena.
Prices:
not bad for the prices. but then again, wouldnt every one want to play for free w/ free air? lol
Rules:
They do have rules, and they enforce em. but they arent anal about em. they are very nice when it comes to letting you know the rules. i know for me, if a guy is a jerk to me saying "dont shoot your gun in the parking lot" im gonna do it again when he leaves. but if they ask nicely like they do here, i will gladly stop.
Services:
Bathrooms, food, HPA and Co2 air, mini store.
Staff/ Refs:
great staff!! really down to earth
Players:
great to play with, havent really noticed that much wipers. once the game gets goin, the players on the field call the shots for both sides, and doesnt take sides, very nice. when you go, you will most likly run into the CLOWNS lol. great fun peeps to play with, very friendly and informative. Thats why i go.
final thoughts:
overal its a great field for a great day paintballing.
BRING YOUR OWN PAINT.
i also like to bring a cooler lol |
