Review: I played my first day at High Energy just a few days ago and my gang and I had a blast! This place is huge and totally in a league all of its own. The owner, Ed, and all the refs where incredibly nice and professional and really have a deep passion for what they do. I played on the tournament modeled speed ball course of which they have two, and even though there was only a few of us, Ed gave us free reign to explore the jaw-dropping scenario field they have built in the back. This place is 23 acres of amazing paint ball fun no matter what skill you are.

Their scenario games they play once a month rival actual battles in history and promise to be the most strategic, mind-blowing, fun you will ever have with your friends and your marker. Ed explained the last scenario game they hosted and all I can say is, you have to be there to believe it.

This place has everything from rocket launcher pads, capture the flag, speed ball, woods ball, scenario play and even get this.......Ed's building a TANK!!! I kid you not. Its a 6 wheeled beast that will have a deadly array of weapons. Now where the hell can you find a tank anywhere else?

The prices are extremely reasonable and the staff and fields are top-notch. If you decide to go anywhere to experience paint ball at its best...go play at High Energy on Rt 30 in Amsterdam...you will not be disappointed. I am no expert, but I know a good thing when I see one. Me and the gang were so impressed, it is now our one and only paint ball field.

Review: I just went there today and it was an amazing experience the man who owns it Ed is really really nice and the ref's were strict BUT polite about enforcing the rules. We did some speedball but ed also let us go out back and use some of the scenario field that they had used from yesterdays scenario and it was amazing! They were telling us about the event and their plans this field is amazing and for scenario play it honestly seems perfect Ed has a real passion for it and wants to make fun complex strategic scenario games! All in all if you go here you'll have a great time guranteed!

Review: Safety: Safety at HEP is top notch. There are never any 2nd guessing it. If a mask is off or a barrel bag isn't put on. Someone is giving a talking to and it never happens again.

Fields: HEP has both a great 7man setup as well as a really great scenario field. Both are really well setup and have everyone a player is looking for.

Hours of operation: Open play is open Sundays from 10am till when ever. Which is cool because you can play until its dusk. Rumor is a team practice day will open during the week.

Prices: Prices are great. $10 walk on which includes air/co2. Paint ranges from $50-$60 a case. Bags are also sold for various prices. Which is good because not everyone can afford the high end paint and such.

Rules: Rules at HEP are simple. They are also posted up on a giant sign in the staging area for everyone to see. As well as strictly enforced by the refs.

Services: Services are great, if you ever have a problem with a marker or something else. There is always someone there to give you a hand and give you some tech talk. If they cant get you in the game right away. They will lend you there marker until the problem is solved.

Proshop: HEP does not have a proshop. They look the idea of having top notch fields and threw away the idea of a proshop because everyone goes online for product these days.

Staff: Staff at HEP is awesome. Most down to earth, easy to get to know guys ever. So if your a quite unsure player or a loud talkitive guy. Theres aways someone to chat with.

Refs: The refs know what there doing. They also let players who do not have the money to play. Ref. Of course these player refs arn't as qualified as the Staff Refs. It still is a great addition to the field.

Players: The players at the field range from newer kids, scenario ballers all the way up to experienced tourney players.

Facilities: HEP Favilities are well kept and always in good over all condition.

Food: There is no food AT HEP but right down the road is a entire strip of places to eat. From subway, taco bell, and burger king. The list could go on.

Overall: Overall HEP is hands down the best field in upstate New York.

Review: First time @ High Energy...Saftey was top notch, prices were great and everyone involved were polite and friendly. 2nd annual Battle of Bastogne was outstanding. Field was enormous almost 3 football fields. Approx. 30 on 30 participating. Very large towns with major buildings and forts, these guys did an amazing job on the field. Everone participated with many missions, and the Gemans dominated the game. Their was tons of areas to manuever through with evrey type of terrrain with alot of cover. I highly recommend attending events here. People as far away as conn. attended and they also said it was the best scenario field they attended. I will attend any event I can at this field.

Review: O MY GOD!!!!! That sums it up. I have played at many fields traveling around the area. I have to say this kicks A's and takes names. Games went smooth and their staging area is very nice. Good friendly reffs and some good competition. Very good atmosphere for playing paintball. The best part is I didn’t even mention the field yet. I only played speedball but based on their plans for woodsball it is going to be sick!!! That’s for all you hardcore scenario players you will LOVE it!!!!! The speedball was superb. Sick field to play on they have a huge carwash in the center of the field I mean this thing is massive! Games go quick they have astro under their snake it is insane to move and dive on!! I highly suggest you go there soon!! Even if it is an hour drive it is well worth it!! by the way ED if you are reading this its dom

Review: Summary:Me and my buddy went out there today. Man it was awesome. Not only was the field awesome but the people and the atmosphere were great. Ed and Henry did an awesome job making that field. They're both great guys.

The Field: The playing field itself was amazing. The way the bunkers were set up was awesome. I never did the same thing twice in a row. It was a lot of fun. The lanes you can get were just tremendous..

The People: The people there were awesome. They were all freindly and willing to answer questions. Henry and Ed were great guys. I sat down while spectating with Henry and we talked like we had known eachother for a while.

I highly reccomend this field. These guys did an awesome job on it.

Review: This feild is the best! Ed and Henry have done such a great job in making this feild. They are very carefull on saftey regulations, they are open on sunday and on wednesdays. They have great paint for cheap prices. The service is great. These guys will spend hours helping you fix your gun and get you back out on the feild as soon as possible. All the players who come are very honest players and every one plays safe.
I love playing at this feild and i suggest that if you havent played at this feild yet, you stop whatever your doing now, get in your car and drive to High Energy Paintball right now and have the best paintball expeirence ever.

Review: Alright this field is amazing. The hard work put into this field by Henry and Ed is amazing. They have laid down turf along both sides of the field. A 75ft snake and a great carwash at the 50. Prices are good, 10 walk on including air and 60 for a case of paint. Staff is great and the fields are great to play. Hope to see you there.

Review: High Energy Paintball field is located on Rt 30n in Amsterdam NY. It used to be Friendly Fire (FF) Paintball but they went out of business. The new owners are a couple of guys who used to play at FF. They have done ALOT of work to the field. I would have to say it is one of the nicest outdoor fields within 100 miles. My Paintball team has traveled from one end of the state to the other for tourny's and we have seen many fields. This field is TIGHT! Lots of bunkers but well placed! The HUGE carwash makes for adrenalin pumping mid-field play. They have a 75 foot ladder that is laid on ASTRO TURF!! Go to their site and take a look TODAY! The other tape is also covered with TURF!! Built up dead boxes will be great for tourny play. Lots of parking. They could use a few more tables (spindles) for players gear. The chrono station is nice and BIG! The management is top notch and the prices are average at $10 for walk on and $60 a case for good paint. Wednesday night team practice is a nice addition with a small walk on fee and BYOP or by their paint and walk on is free. Compressed air with compressor no site and an auto shut off fill station...you can't beat 4500psi fills!! there were really no downfalls with this field. A+ guyz!
