There are no fields that I believe are comparable within an 1+ hour drive.
I have also frequented GRC and Headrush over the years.

Open play is usually on Sundays. If you go to the website's forums, there is almost always a post with the calendar of events. The forum is relatively active and useful.
Very easy to get to. Plenty of parking. Good rental equipment. Safe, with netting around fields. Self-service compressed air only. If you use CO2, they will swap your tank for the day. Always has 1 or 2 full sized speedball/Xball fields setup, along with a woodsball field (including fort). A good balance of experienced and newer players, allowing you to play at your own level. Very comfortable and friendly atmosphere, with virtually no drama (big plus!).
First time playing at R&M and it was great. I had a absolute blast. I went and played a 4-man tournament. Best time i have had in a while. The gentleman running it was very nice and understanding and kept the games moving. The reffs and staff are top notch. The field had a nice airball field, that was well netted. Wasnt much more you could ask for. The only thing was the paint. Shot good but not great. (draxxus > Jt) But over all i would defiantly recommend this field.
i haven't been to their field but their store is the best store in the area they have EVERY thing and if they don't have it they will order it for you. now when my friend nate went to their field it was a scenario game and he said it was huge
