I've played at this field numerous times with my team Mystic Chicken. We play there pretty much every weekend, along with OU and a few guys that run the field. The atmosphere is great and the field is even better. Pictures of the field make it look small but realistically this is a 5on5 field comfortably.
Prices aren't too bad either...I think it's $15 if you bring your own paint. The shop also has a little bit of everything...so if you need something they've probably got it. I highly recommend playing at Stonegate Paintball. |

All in all a very nice field. It is indoor, which is good for Ohio weather, and has turf down versus woodchips,etc. used in other indoor fields. Prices are very reasonable ($15 field fee which includes all day air and a variety of paint to choose from at various yet good prices) and they have HPA fills to 4500. Although the field is a bit small compared to what I'm used to, it is very fun and intense--in fact it is easily the most intense speedball I've every played.
The competition is great. Ohio University's team plays there as well as a local team called Mystic Chicken, all of whom are far better players than me so I hope to improve my skills by playing at Stonegate often.
Safety is good at Stonegate. As it should be, goggles must be on if you're inside the net. Although there really isn't anyone acting as a watchdog over the rules, everyone there is very experienced and there is no unsafe behavior.
The staff is very nice and helpful and they have a full proshop and can tech markers if necessary. Stonegate is open Saturdays and Sundays (I've never been on Sunday, though) from about noon to 5pm, depending on the amount of players there

Stonegate is an awesome field that will soon be the top paintball field in southern Ohio
It is as off now an indor 100 by 50 playing arena with X-Ball bunkers.
A full size X-Ball field will be added this spring.
Great stageing area
Awesome proshop that has about anything you need
The field team is exellent
O.U. has weekely practice there every Saturday and mystic Chicken also practices there

Ok went up yeasterday to a tourny and the day befor.
the field is indoor air ball and the owner is really nice. The shop is stocked good and they can order anything. There home team is pretty good and will help you out if your having problems.

I give it an 8 because it is the only indoor around that i know of and its fun to play there. |
