Review: I think this field is getting much worse reviews than it deserves. Unless our experience has been COMPLETELY different, this is an ok field. I have not been for a while, but I think the new management has potential.

The refs were always very nice and personal. The may have been under-equipped but hardly unprofessional. They were always fair when I played.

The rentals and paint did suck. Masks, tanks, and guns were trash. This didn't really effect me though, but I'm sure it brought in less returning customers. I didn't have to pay anything outrageous for paint though.

The fields did have a good mix. Most of the ones I played on were woodsball environment, with some speedball bunkers. There were a few one-sided fields, but weren't commonly played.

I always thought the service was good. Like the refs, everyone was very personal, although didn't really seem kid-friendly. The gun tech was very helpful and did a lot of maintenance for free, or very cheap.

The facilities were not high-class. It was obviously an under-funded park, but the owner was often there, and had some enjoyable stories. He offered me a full refund twice, once because of a low player turn out number, and I can't remember the other, but he was a nice guy.

I am excited about the new management, the field could use some revisions, but it was a good weekend park, and was never too crowded, unlike Velocity. This allowed for a good number of games to be played.

Review: I decided to visit this field since I heard that it was in new ownership (I've read many horror stories on this site about its previous owner). I must say, overall I had a great time.

When my friend and I arrived we discovered that we hauled out paint along for nothing. Field only. Now before you get upset about that their prices were fair. We were a little late for the first walk on game so that gave us some time to check out the main area. Their show is next to non existent as of right now. I talked with the owner of the field (who is part of a company that owns many more fields up north) and he assured me that is was going to change. A lot needed to be cleaned up (from the fires) to make room for the rest of the items he wants to order (some of the storage area is holding field equpiment, they had 18 fields but only 7 survived the fires).

*One things to note about the paint* I gave a guy paint on the field since he was out and he repaid me with a pod of Evil paint. Now this was the more expensive paint but my God did it suck horribly. I have a Tippman A5 and you all know how great of a marker it is. Well once I used the Evil paint my gun started to maulfunction. At first it would fully recock. Then as I started to recock it the cyclone feed wasn't pushing the balls into the chamber. Once I manually moved a ball in the little buggerd chopped! I dumped out that hopper of paint, refilled with mine, and my marker started to work normal again. Now I don't know if I was just unlucky with the paint, if it had sat around for a while and became lopsided, or what. I just know I will never use the Evil paint from the field again. What I had purchased from the, however, worked wonders. I was hitting people 1-2 hit ratio at over 100 feet. *End Note*

Then I asked what the chrono level was and found it was the standard 280 FPS. Then I asked where the chrono area was, that's where I had a surprise. They have one but do not check you. Now this is a double edge sword. It's nice not waiting in line for 20 some odd people to be chronod, but that does leave the chance for some jerk to shoot hot. Personally I would like to see every chronod by a ref, but I've seen how easy it is for the jerks to get around that.

Now that being said safety is a major concern on this field. They won't let you anywhere near where construction is going on. If you remove your mask you get one warning, then you have to sit out two games. While I was there no one was shooting hot but I bet they would be kicked off of the field if they were caught.

Their fields were not really speedball courses nor were they scenario. They managed to find the sweet spot that should allow everyone play style to have fun. The refs there were very courteous and helpful to the newbies that were there.
Make sure to bring your own food. The field has no food or drinks there. The nearest area is a 5 minute drive (if that) but the prices are insane. Right across from the casino is a small outlet with KFC, Subway, Pizza, McDonalds, and a few other eateries. Plus with how long it takes to get food from there my friend and I missed another game (it was a 30 minute break for lunch). Just bring your own food and drinks and you will be set.
Overall I had a good experience, I won’t make a weekly trip down there (about a 50 minute drive for me) but I would like to return once they get more of their fields up and running. It's definitely a place worth checking out now!

Review: Hello to all the SoCal Paintball Players.

I’m the new General Manager for the Weekend Warrior Park. I just gone done reading the reviews on this site for the Weekend Warrior Park and as a player I can understand the dissatisfaction everyone has experienced. I have played the park as a player like you and know the feeling. Well I have some great news.

The park is as of 1 Jan 2008 under new management with a new owner and a vision to improve the park. We really want to bring the players back for a great weekend of paintball. The park will remain a field paint only park but could change in the future.
The first two things you will see the first weekend is a better field paint in both price and quality.

Please contact the parks general manager or manager if you have any both positive and negative suggestions. This really helps us make the time you play the best it can be.

The website and phone numbers have not changed.

Stop by, play, and watch the changes

Review: I've been organizing groups and going to this field for several years now. I know how bad it can get. I guess what happened today was the "last straw".

The only reason my group goes to this field is that it has discounts. But when the cashier rudely refuses to apply the discount, I realize I should take my business elsewhere. They don't consider that my large group alone brings in over a thousand dollars in revenue each year for several years now. So, in reviewing this field, I think customer service is extremely bad. The following are other points to consider about this field.

The referees are ill-prepared. Some don't have watches or whistles, so players rely on the referee's "feeling" when the game is ending. Players have to "pass the word" that the game is over instead of hearing a whistle.

The rental equipment is terrible! The masks smell bad and the lens is scratched up badly. The guns are constantly malfunctioning during play, so players have a bad experience ending their game early so they can have their gun repaired or replaced. I had one player replace their marker rental 4 times in one day!

The price of paintballs have actually gone down. I was playing this field when it was $100 for 2000 rounds. Now it's $65 for 2000 rounds. However, the quality of the ammo has obviously gotten worse. Several players, including myself, have noticed that we've had more ball breakage since they changed their ammo. I'd rather pay more for decent ammo than get frustrated with ball breakage!

In regards to safety, the field has several things that have injured us. This includes large cables and rusted scrap metal with protruding bolts. Nails sticking out of old pallets are no fun to run into. There are also various plants that have seriously poked and cut us. These are terrible things to fall on to during the heat of battle!

Two years ago, an employee picked a fight with one of my players in the parking lot. The employee was obviously drunk and high on something. Today, a large Rottweiler (dog) was on the loose. It looked injured because it was limping and was frothing at the mouth. Our group mentioned it to the field staff, but they didn't do a single thing about it. The dog was roaming the parking lot all day, often stopping my players from getting to their cars. My players can do without these dangerous elements!

The hours of operation is loosely adhered to. They are always late opening their counter. They will rudely tell you that all rentals have to be turned in BEFORE 4pm.
Their website posts hours of 8am to 5pm, but today their counter opened at 8:45 and closed sharply at 4pm.

I've been to several fields in my 15 years of paintballing. This field has consistently been a bad experience for myself and my buddies.

Review: THEY SUCK.!!! Paintballs are way over priced. Warped Bonus Balls online are $34 a case of 2000, they charge $80., and if you buy them from anyone but them, they will kick you out. One ref is just totally rude. and if his boys play, you can forget about your team getting a fair shake... I have nothing good to say about this place, EXCEPT... I like some of the fields, when they don't have cow or horse dung in the middle of play.

Review: Well this was my first time i ever played in this field this was like 2 years ago or something like that, these people are a joke $80 for 2000 paintballs? and whats even worse you had to use their field paint, their was this cool field that i really enjoyed and its was the trench very cool.

Eventhough i had my gun their rentals guns were also a joke they looked cheap and it semmed those were the 1st guns that ever came out. the good part ws that my friend invited me and the cool thing was that i didnt get to waste any of my money, my friend invited me because his others friends did and they payed for everything but still everything is a rip. i would never go hear ever ever in my life. i would rather gather my buddies up and play in my house or something. Also with those $80 of buying paintball i can buy 4000 paintballs for the price at that in velovity store. People dont waste your money but if your getting envited and not going to pay atleast try it.

Review: This Field Just sucks Paint Costs are outrageous(100 dollars a case) the only thing that is saving this crappy field from being a one out of ten is their speed ball course(which is alright)............I give it a 2/10..........DO NOT EVER GO unless you want 2 spend about 200 dollars on paint a day

Review: This park is crap, and I will go into detail on exactly why it is.

- The refs are dolts, and spend more time grilling their lunches than caring about the games. When some of them get bored, they grab their guns and start shooting. That's all fine and dandy, except they're going after new players, blowing them away for the fun of it.

- Courses are boring. There's one wooded course which was fun, other than that it's just the same bland "speedball" stuff with bunkers everywhere. Most of the bunkers were terrible as well, some of them knocking over when you went into them, and .. I kid you not.. when a breeze knocked them over.

- I rented a gun (sold my last, hadn't bought my new one yet), and it was a piece of crap. I waited for 20 minutes for one of the "techs" to fix my gun, and then walked to the target range, and suprise suprise.. it wasn't fixed. So I had to get back in line, while these jokers sat around bs'ing about whatever it is they were, for one of them to finnaly tell me that it was broken, and I should get it switched out. I should probably mention that the first thing I did was go to the rental place and ask them to switch it out for me, but I had to go through the circus of time wasting apparently.

- The nasty overpriced balls. $80 for a case? Jesus.

- The only employee there who seemed to be worth anything was one of the "tech" guys, who I believe had a goatee. Nice fellow, and trying as hard as he could. But the rest of those idiots makes me even wonder if they're paid in anything other than peanuts.

- The last game is supposed to start at 4:00PM, but we were sharply out of there at 3:59PM on the button. It was drizzeling a bit, and I suppose since only the customers had payed to hang out there, it didn't really matter to the staff whether or not we had a nice time.

- One of the staff / techs / ref grabbed my gun (when he needed to switch it out), and dumped out my hopper of 200 balls on the dirt by accident, and then started picking them up off the ground to put them back in. Ugh. Just stupidity, laziness, and unprofessional attitudes and actions everywhere.

I would give this a 1 instead of a 2, but I imagine there might actualy be a worse course in existence, so I'll save that for a more worthy candidate.

In conclusion, save yourself the money, headache, and pain in the ass factor. Go to somewhere else.

Review: This is was my first time at paintball. Overall we had a great time. All the refs were cool, esp. Ross. The fields were great, good variety and the ref worked with the size of our group to make it more fun. The pre-paid group price is very cheap.

FYI- price of a case went from $100 to $80. Still seems expensive to me, and you can only use their paint. Also there's a pizza place nearby that will deliver to the park.

But other then that.. our entire group had a blast. It was awesome. I will definitely go back. We had such a good time there, our group is going to get into the sport as much as we can. Thanks to all at WW. I'd give it a 10, but I have nothing to compare it too.

Review: This is the worst field ever designed. The refs are horrible and they don't pay attention to wiper's and cheaters. The bunkers suck so bad that they fall over when you barely touch them. The paint is way to expensive for what you get, plus to add to that you can only use field paint. The paint costs $100 a case!!! The only thing cool about this place was that the owner gave a really cool safety speech, that involved a tomato. I would not recomend going to this field.
