TRP-some what over priced for quality
AAPP-best field around if u got the money for it
PBworld-great field refs are very helpful and the price is fair.
Directions
to the Field:
depends on where you are leaving from, just call for directions.(PS. they are no longer operational.)
Review: Ok so i know this isn't a real review, im just posting this so people know the feild is no longer operational. the owner didn't own the field they just rented it from the land owners and they didn't want to rent it out anymore so PBX should be marked as nonoperational.

to all people looking for a new field i would suggest Urban Assault, PBworld or AAPP both are very good.

Review: This field has to be the most unorganized field I have ever played at. It was the first field I ever played Paintball at, so I thought it was cool the first time, but the other times I went the reff's were inexperienced, unkowledgeable, and just jerks. It may be cheap, but the players there are not very good, and if you even say you bought any of your gear from Punishers Paintball, they will hold a grudge on you for the rest of the day...... Horrible field....

from the parkway, thake the homestead/ squirrel hill exit. go across the high level bridg. continue straight up west street. go until you reach 22nd avenue in munhall. turn left onto 22nd. then turn right onto main street. continue until you reach farragut st. follow that until it turns into homestead-duquesne road.follow that past a coral lanes bowling alley. the field entrance will be on your left.
Review: I have not been there yet, but i am looking forward to this sunday. on sundays, you can bring your own paint, and if you have a gun, it only costs $7.00. they have woodsball, speedball, airball, and a 'mounds' course. i heard that the mounds course kind of sucks. they are open during the week for private games.you have to use their paint on the weekdays. a case of 2000 costs $65.00. a little too pricy for me. the refs are supposed to be cool, but dont take any crap and just enforce the rules. they care more about barrel plugs more than anything else. the chrono your gun to 300 fps or less.

I will update this review when i go.

Review: Okay now, I'm gonna give you a TRUE review on this place. There are 4 fields: Woodsball, Speedball, the infamous "Mounds" field, and Airball. The woodsball is kinda cool but the games drag on forever, the speedball is fun but there are too many cracks in the log bunkers, mounds is just the worst (not taken care of, not that its supposed to be), and Airball which is never set up anymore unless for the small tournament's that they have.

The new refs are much better than the old one's since they just didn't care at all, the paint is pretty bad and just a little over priced($15 for 500, its BAD paint) for what it is. It's $10 to get in on Sudays and you bring all of your own stuff. So that's a big plus since that brings a lot of people usually. Although you only get in like 7 games the whole day when airball ISN'T up, its really slow between each game.

So, overall the place is pretty good, but people make it sound like the best place in the world. But it's still fun, I guess I recommend it for the new players of the sport and not for the tournament players.

Make a left at the mcdonalds by kennywood or right depending onwhich way you our coming. Then at the top of the hill make a right. Go until you come to the second red light. then make a right. follow that road for a mile or two and paintball extreme is on the right hand side.
Review: This is a great park for all paintball players. Low prices chear paint awesome courses, what more could you ask for.The four types of courses are speedball woodsball mounds and airball. They are all great fields. The refs are cool and homorous, so you even have a good time of the field. This park is awesome and i would recommend it for any paintballers looking to have a good time.

If you know where Kennywood is in West Mifflin, then make a left (or right depending what side you're on) at the mcdonalds. go all the way up the hill and make a right. then keep going untill you get to a gas station and then make a right. keep going straight until you see the sign and you're there. It's just a little bit further when you go past the church.
Review: Paintball X-treme is a very good paintball park especially for most beginners. First, the safety is stressed a lot. they always make sure your mask is on and your barrel plug is in. They also chronograph everyone's gun so it doesn't hurt as bad when you get shot. The prices are good too, especially on Sunday for open play. It's only $7 to get in from 12pm-6pm unless you buy any amount of paint, then you don't have to pay to get in. Now to the fields: they have 4 fields. The first one is Speedball. It is on a slant. Both sides have equal advantage. The bunkers are mounds and log fences. They also have a bridge in the middle which is very good cover and shot opportunities. The second field is Woodsball. It is also on a slant. It is 2 1/2 acres with a big fort in the middle. The bottom team starts off closer to the fort, but the top team as a height advantage so it's pretty equal. The bunkers are mounds, log fences, and trees. The third field is Moundsball. Its mostly flat, but there's a slight slant. The team that starts out on the far end gets advantage of a long snake that can get you to the other side if you're sneaky enough. The closer team can go up a slight hill and have sort of a height advantage. In the middle is a big black tube that you can go in but if you get caught doing it then you'll probably get surrounded and shot. The bunkers are mounds and trees. The fourth and final field is a regular airball field like the ones you see on TV. It's kind of small but really fun. It's not always set up but when it is it's awesome and they change the set up everytime. The bunkers are air bunkers. The staff and refs are really nice. They don't sell food but they have water, gatorade and pop(soda). So if you're ever in Pittsburgh or from here but have never been there, go check it out.

Review: This field is awesome and the prices are very good! It is 10 bucks if you have your own equipment and 25 for a PMI rental gun, 12 oz. CO2 tank, hopper full of paintballs, and field play for 3 hours. The gun is not that bad- I've used them twice and they worked fine. Sundays are open play- Bring Your Own Paint. It's also 10 dollar admission. If you buy any amount of their paint, though, you get free admission. Paint costs are: 2000- $40; 1000- $22; 500-$15. They have drinks and other things to buy at the pavilion where you pay and chronograph your gun.

Now on to the main part- the fields!

They have 4 fields to play on. The first is a speed ball field on a slight slant with fence-like bunkers and man-made mounds. There are also trees to hide behind. Most notably is the bridge in the center of the field that provides some great shots. On to the woods ball field. It's 2.5 acres and I've played some fun, long 15 on 15 games there! The top team is on a semi-plateau that slants down on the sides. the bottom team has control of the massive fort that provides cover and great shots as well. Both sides have mounds, fences, and bunkers made out of wood piles and logs. Once again, more trees for cover. Next is the mounds field. It's pretty much just woods with giant mounds and trees. If you're on the far side, you can get all the way to your opponents' side without them seeing you via a very large mound that serves as a snake. Finally, they have an air ball field. It's not set up all the time but it is a nice field. When it is set up, the configuration isn't the same every time which is cool.

They are open year round from 9-6. The refs are nice, laid back, and they'll give you tips on how to play. I like this place a lot. An easy 10 out of 10!

Review: This field is awesome for whoever wants a good cheap game of paintball. Entry only $10, cases of paint only $40 and if you buy there cases you get free entry. The refs are cool as hell and will always make teams even, great field for woodsball players but the only thing wrong is they only have one airball field...the speedball field they have is fun, but the wood has sum spaces in between them but nothin serious. Overall this field is awesome besides the lack of airball fields, but the airball course they do have is awesome
