Review: Well the game was fun and the field was HUGE, but the first 5 minutes i was there i was deemed a bullshi**er and singled out from the rest of the group, and there was no bathroom so players had to pick a spot on the edge of the woods or walk to the wendys up the road. The safety was severely enforced and there was a provided lunch. Oh and the price was 35$, which was less than i expected. I give this field a 7 because of the, well, poor service i guess and because i thought it would be a little more professional than a shack in the woods next to a field with small patches of wood.

Review: This Field is a great Woodsball field for players of all skill and ages. Unlike paintball-extreme, the staff if this field are friendly, helpful and actually know what they are doing. The prices are ok, (paint is a little expensive, just as Three River's and EMR is) but otherwise this is a great woodball field ans really is only 10 mins from Downtown.

Review: Great People and field is awesome. I am from Maryland and was trying to find a place in Pittsburgh to play. All the fields say that they are in Pittsburgh but really in the outskirts but Riverside Renegades is only 10 minutes from Downtown. Great fields for a great work out. Great staff, really shows how homey Pittsburgh folks are you feel like family there. My wife's family lives in Pittsburgh and I will continue to play at Riverside.

Review: If you want true Paintball in Pittsburgh “Woodsball” this is your place. I have been playing for over 20 years and have to say this is one of the best fields I have ever played at hands down. Why you may ask? Because first thing Safety First is the rule of thumb and stressed thru out the day. The filed is huge with tons of different bunkers and forts to play from. They even got referees that know the game and pay attention to what going on in the field of play “unlike across the bridge”. Games are run with very little waiting around for the next game to start so you get tons of playing time. Another plus is the owner of the field is there and hands on and really cares that you are having a great safe time and not just looking to take your money. To put it in a nut shell if you want to have a good time and play some first class paintball this is you place. If you want to play with the Chucky Cheese Bunch with blowup dolls to hide behind and dump a ton of paint go somewhere else.

Review: I could not imaging a woods ball field that is better than this. Buddy and the Renegade Staff are always very helpful and accommodating. Buddy and the staff are very concerned about safety and stress it quite often. This is one of the reasons that Buddy uses field paint only. All guns being brought on the field must be speed checked before they can be used.

The field is huge, with multiple forts. The day starts with two forts that are relatively close together on flat terrain. What an adrenaline rush! As the day goes on the forts get farther apart. The forts are man made with all of mother natures best natural obstacles and hiding places all around. I am not sure what is harder: defending the fort or assaulting across the field to capture the flag. There are a few choke points where great battles are guaranteed, but coming in contact with the opposing team can happen anywhere on the course.

The terrain if very demanding. It quickly reminds you of the last time you WERE in good shape.

If you want the best woods ball action you have to play at Riverside. Check their website for general information and check the forums for upcoming games.

Review: I've been there 3 times. Twice with friends and once with my dad because i wanted him to see how hard paintball is and that you need to be in good shape. Every time I went the field owner, Buddy, stressed safety a LOT. If you were in the staging area you must have your safety on and a barrel condom on your gun. When you leave the staging area a mask must be on and you can't remove it until your back in the staging area. The refs are great, they do paintchecks if you get shot on your back and cant tell if your out, and they tell how a few ways to get to the opposing base. The field is GREAT, bunkers, brush, fallen trees, a car, deer decoy, rhino thingy, and plenty of bases which the refs switch up a lot. All the games are CTF accept for at the end of the day you might get to do a tattoo game. They have drinks and make food (burgers, hot dogs, chips) and the whole day cost me $35, which includes free co2 all day, 500 rounds, and field usage. If your trigger happy then you can lay down another $20 for another 500. If your new to paintball like me or love woodsball I encourage you to play there. Also the field is open year round if you dont mind the cold. 10/10

Review: Buddy and his staff are by far the best around. Last Sunday I brought with me a two week old gun that was not working. I brought it over to him he asked what the problem was and tossed me a rental in the mean time. He and his staff opened and closed the gun numerous times trying to fix things. After their hard work they found that there was a problem that only Tippmann inc. could fix. With the amount of work they put into my gun and the cheap field prices I came home that evening and felt like I stole somthing it was such a great deal. If you are looking to meet new people

Review: buddy, his staff, the price, and the awsome field completely got me back into paintballing again after a 2 yr layoff. i went there with a wedding party (about 13 people) and had a absolute blast. im talking OLD SCHOOL WHITE MEN IN WOODS WITH GUNS paintball!!!! no modern speedball or moto jerseys. all camo and slinking around on a giant field full of natural and man made cover. I took my '99 angel but got stuck using a rental like 70% of my group. must say i was even impressed with the rentals there...no crappy tipmans. Buddys a riot and his staff of 12-16 yr old underlings call a fair game. The price was UNBEATABLE...in all my yrs of paintballing i never got away with a $35.00 day......EVER. im sure if i used my angel i would've spent another $25-50 dollars tho.

only negative: although the field is great its on a mountain. by the time we got 6 games in 1/2 my party was sitting out. even people in great shape are in for a workout on this field.

I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS FIELD, I WILL BE BACK THERE PLAYING ASAP.

Review: Riverside is conviently located, alittle hard to find the entrance, but once found very nice staging area. Extremely helpful staff, and the regular players, known as the Renegades, are great guys which will also help you out wether its with your gear or just general questions about the field. I recently played thier in May 05' on a sunday, we had around 40 guys, and it provided for a fun day. Like years in the past, cheating is a rarity at this field, blainted cheating will get u booted, violating safety rules is also a big no/no, and can get you kicked out as well. Buddy the owner, is a great guy, loud and a little intimating, but that is only to let everyone know he is in control of his field and everyone must follow his 3 rules. Never lift your mask on the field, never enter the staging area without a barrel plug and go home if you don't want to have some fun. Once that is out of the way hes all about helping people with their equipment and making sure everyone is having a great time. There is always good mix of players, young and old, guys and even a some brave girls. The field is a tru woodsball field with everything you can ask for. Depending on the number of players and what the players want to play, will determines the type of games played. Definitely check out the website to get an idea of the field, the site is great, full of pictures and a map of the field. For, thirty five dollars, you got a semi-auto gun, v-force mask, all the CO2 needed, 500 hundred paintballs, and the field for the day. Paintballs were $20 dollars for 500, and you do have to use field paint. 1000 shots easily lasted me all day. I have been playing on this field for years, the field is always changing but the class of players on this field has stayed constant, always a great bunch of peole just having a good time. If your looking for some fun and like a good woodsball field with descent prices, Riverside Renegade is the place to go.

Review: anyway this is a great fiel to play at, the owner buddy will yell alot at first but he just cares about saftey and stuff. the refs are fair, and most players are as well, so no cheating or anything. you get free air 500 paintballs for like $25 which is a pretty good price. The people are helpful and if you have a problem with your marker they will help you out.
