this field i have found to be very good for new and entry level players. The rental guns are tippmann 98's which is a very reliable gun. Unfortunatley the paint they sell often does not fit the caliber of the tippmann barrels. The field is a strange mix of speedball woodsball and rec ball. Definetly not ideal for speedball though. |

safety:
the safety was not bad the staff went over the rules before we were aloud to have our guns for beginners and for past users of the field. During the game i moved my mask up and down to scratch my forehead (not taking it off) and a ref came over to me just to make shore there was no problem the only thing they were not to strict on was the range at which you can shoot at other players i now have three big bruises 2 on my back and 1 on my ass from close range shot but the guns ,although there good are still not powerful enough to do major damage.The clothing was also not very protective but i like it because if it was padded you would not feel the ball hit you taking away lots of the fear of playing paintball
fields:
the one field they had was brilliant using a variety off different covers ranging from small tee-pees to slightly larger houses, barrels,walls,trees,concrete ditches and the big balloon things (not shore what there called) it was also very big compared to other pics of paintball fields ive seen the only con was that the ground is made of sand so it get everywhere
prices:
the prices are quite good although the paintballs are expensive the gun and equipment is on 25 dhs ($6-7) and if your not to trigger happy you can have the whole 2 hour experience of just under 200 dhs ($60) which as far as i know is alot cheaper than most other places the real problem is that you are not aloud to bring your own paintballs but it is where they make most off there profit which is fear enough i guess ( you are aloud to bring your own paint ball guns, tanks clothes etc...)
rules:
the rules are fine no taking your mask off during play don t shoot your gun with no bullets in it or before the horn is sounded if the paintballs don't splat then your not out and no picking paintballs off the ground because it clogs the gun if there damp but if you want to alter some of the game rules they don t mind as long as it does not change the level of safety if you want to make it only body shot that count as out and not arms legs or head that's fine
services:
the services are decent enough to get you through to 2 hours of play there is no food but drinks are available and the changing room are good with 2 toilets and a nice shower and a mirror to check your battle wounds after play.
staff:
the staff are very nice and helpful giving you tips and way to out wit your opponents and get the best out of your gun and money it is also very well organized and easy to find out where your ment to be and what your supposed to be doing they let you run the show , if you don't want a rest after each game than you don't have to have one an if you don't want to play capture the flag and just elimination then that's your decision.
refs:
the refs stay near the exit gate but they still have a clear vision of what is going on on the field they leave the game to go smoothly in your hands you must be the one to no when your hit and meant to be out up to you but every ones there to have fun so all the rules are obeyed anyway and there is no cheating.
overall:
overall it is a brilliant field well managed and friendly place to be as well as cheap
you can now also buy the tippmann 98 custon for 1250 dhs tippmann a-5 for 1600 dhs and the tippmann x-7 for 1800 dhs + paintballs co2 and most other things you need to maintain the gun, if anyone knows a painball shop in Dubai then can they please leave a comment thanks| Last edited on Sunday, April 15th, 2007 at 9:19 am PST |

The one in Sharjah, whic I believe is called Sharjah Paintball. Not sure about that. I think this one is much, much better. The Sharjah one gives you crappy spyders where as this one gives you Tippmann 98 custom's. And it is called PURSUIT not persuit. It has very good value for the gun but the paint is very expensive. OVERVIEW
[continued] It has good value for the gun but the paint is very expensive. The bunkers just got replaced last week and the whole setup is sort of like a village. You can hide around or in (if you're a noob) several different palm frond huts. Two of the huts have a sort of second story that mistakenly looks very safe. If you are playing with a bunch of walk-on newbies, you can just wait for them to pop their head out of the window and light them up. All in all, a reqally good place.
SAFETY
The refs, or marshalls, are very qualified and extremely rigid about safety. If you take your mask off during the game you get one warning. If you do it again you are out and you do NOT get a refund. Anyone who has a custom gun is required to give it to the marshalls for a chronograph. I do not know what the FPS is set at, but the paintballs only hurt for a few seconds and then they go away.
HOURS OF OPERATION
On the weekend the field is open form 8AM to 4AM at the latest. they open at 8 and keep it open until everyone stops coming. This is true for the rest of the week, but ther tends to be fewer people.
PRICE
- The standard Tippmann 98 costs 75 dirhams with 100 free paintballs.
- If you want a marker upgrade to get the Tippman 98 Custom with the longer barrel it is 85 dirhams with the 100 paintballs
- a single paintball is 50 fils (half a dirham). This seems cheap, but I usually end up burning loads of paint.
- You can also buy an A-5 off of them for 1600 DHS.
RULES
There are four games. Elimination, Capture The Flag, President, and Rambo:
- Elimination = Team Deathmatch. Two teams face off. Last team standing wins.
- Capture The Flag = Get the center flag and take it to the enemy base.
- President = VIP. Each team has a marked player. The player can play with or without a gun to make it more interesting. If either president dies the game is over.
- Rambo = Fun Round. This game is played at the end to burn everyone's excess paint. If you get hit you can touch your starting fence and rejoin the fray.
PLAYERS
Most players are just kids trying out the game. Occaisonally a team will show up so they can practice on noobs. Now and again there are tournaments where you can win real money. Phone the above number for details.
