Definitely happy to see a field set up with the tourney player in mind. it is nice to be able to play some air ball in the sun. before this field was set up it had been a long time. the tourneys there are run well. Zo, the owner, is definitely involved with the players at his field. He is more than willing to help out in whatever way he can.
with that said this field was definitely designed with the tourney player in mind. if tournaments aren't your thing you probably wont have much fun. but if this is your scene then it is the place to go. |

Well first off let me start out by saying Proving Grounds is the best paintball field you will go to around in this area. It has everything a player could ask for: a good environment, friendly field owner/reffs, and 3 awsome air ball fields. There are 2 X-ball size fields and one giant 150'x 280' field. Everything at this field is brand new, from the rental guns to the air bunkers. Who wouldn't want to be playing with new gear instead of old stuff? Like I said before, you won't find another paintball field around in this area that can compete with this one. It's self serve air which is good for the tournament players that don't like waiting in line for someone to fill your tank. There is also a tournament series coming up so hurry and enter! Good prizes will be given out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place! Paint prices arn't bad there either.(55 for a case of Nelsplat and Anarchy for 70, practice paint is also offered cheap on practice days) Just visit their website www.sbprovinggrounds.com and you can see the store hours and rental prices. All I can say is if you haven't tried this place out I suggest you do, whats the worst that could happen you get shot? ;) |

Proving Grounds was built with the player in mind and it shows with the quailty of the feilds, equipment, paint, staff, and pro shop. refs are all knowledgable and help players learn and improve on there skills with helpful pointers and tips. currently all PG's feilds are sup air but in the near future more senario fields will be built.
PG is the cheapest place to play in town at 55 a case where as off limits charges 60 + tax which comes out to around 68. the prices of there stock in the pro shop is comparable with the cheapest prices on the internet. |

Off Limits is a great field, but if your looking for the "sport of paintball" and not "hide & go seek with paintball guns" go to Proving Grounds!!!!! |

Pros: This field is great, it has 2 regulation size x ball fields, and has a HUGE recball field. My guess, the recball field is the size of a football field ;). The prices are great, $70, $60, and $55. Another thing about the paint, is it's scented and to my guess, flavored so it doesn't taste like a regular paintball. So if for some stupid reason you get a mask shot, it doesn't taste bad ;). Proshop has a good selection of masks, lenses, and other useful things. The Fill Station has 3 4500 things to fill tanks, so you don't have to waite in line. The staging areas are really close to the fields, so when the tournaments start, you don't have to walk forever and a day to get to the field.
Cons: This field's purpose was definately not maid for Louisiana's average "Rec-Baller." PG was maid for us Tournament players. So if your into the slow style of woodsball or an urban type field, then this place is not for you...yet.
Overall: I have to say Proving Grounds is the BEST field in the northwest part of Louisiana. And may be the best field in the Northern half of LA. I can't say best in Louisiana, cuz I personally havn't been further south than Alexandria, but from Alec up, it's definately the best. |

Offlimits, In your face
Offlimits great field they lowered their paint prices so its not so bad. But PG still beats them on that. Proving grounds paint prices are 70,60,55 and practice paint is 45, PG has a Full Xball field witch is awesome! nice grass, fully netted, the field has drains. They also have 2 other netted in areas for other fields. |

Proving grounds paintball is an awesome field. It has an onsite pro-shop that carry's all the lates equipment, It has a 4500 psi fill station positioned outside and great paint for a good price. They always have 6 referees on the field who are outstanding as well.
Staff- Zo the field owner is all about what the players want. He is always on the local forums trying to figure out what players want to see on the field and in the proshop
there is one downside if you are a woodsball player. PG doesnt have any woodsball fields to play on. Thats the only draw back ....if you play woodsball......
Overall this field is great. I plan on going this weekend.
A+++++
